Confrontation
“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.” -Marilyn Monroe
As she neared the main door of Xavier's house, her heartbeat started beating rapidly.
This was it.
This was the end of Evelyn and Xavier.
She couldn't take it anymore, so she turned around and walked out of the door. Few steps further she heard Alexander's voice, asking, "Where's Rose, Daddy?" Her little munchkin asked, she could not let him see her in this position, the situation where she was unable to make out the meaning of anything, where she couldn't bear the pain of Xavier's allegations right now, how would she answer Alexander's innocent questions.
A tear rolled down her cheek, but she didn't bother to wipe it away.
It was over.

"May I know why you need Mr. Forbes' address please?" Ethan's secretary asked from the other side of the phone.
"I'm his friend Xavier Knight, I need to have an important conversation with him." Xavier explained in an exhausted voice.
"Oh, Mr. Knight, yes of course, Mr. Forbes is staying at Silicon Valley Hotel." The secretary told him as he memorized the address.
"Thank you." Xavier clenched his teeth as he cut the call.
Setting the location of the desired hotel, Xavier drove his car to the Silicon Valley Hotel, it took him one hour to reach there.
He asked Alexander's babysitter Julia to take care of him as he was dying to know the truth behind the supposed betrayal of Evelyn.
The veins in his head were throbbing by now, the realization that he was Evelyn's first man was eating him alive. For the last five years, he had been dying every day, thinking about the love of his life in someone else's embrace, kissing someone else, and allowing that man to touch her lovingly. He had horrible nightmares of Evelyn and Ethan, causing sharp pain in his chest.
Xavier did find his happiness in Alexander, but a part of him always felt incomplete. He was somehow happy to feel that he wasn't practically betrayed by Evelyn, it might be a fabricated story. But the amount of pain that he had caused her, would his apology suffice it?
Will she forgive him?
Thinking about every possibility, Xavier finally reached his destination. After checking out with the receptionist, Xavier got Ethan's room number, because of the security reasons the managers didn't allow anyone to meet the celebrity, but as he was C.E.O of Knight Empire himself, it was a cakewalk for him.
Walking towards the elevator and once he reached the desired floor, he walked out and looked for Ethan's room. At last, he found himself standing in front of an olive-green door.
Thumping his fist against the hard door, Xavier waited impatiently for someone to open the door. After a few minutes later. It opened to reveal Ethan Forbes.
"Xavier?" His sleepy eyes filled with confusion.
Faking a smile, "Yes, didn't you want to have a drink with your best friend? I'm here for that Ethan."
Doubt slowly etched on Ethan's face as he invited Xavier in his suite. He was shirtless as his hair looked messy. Here he was, sleeping peacefully without any regret.
"What is it, Xavier?" Asked Ethan once Xavier was inside.
Crossing his hands in front of his chest, "What happened at my wedding night?" Asked Xavier.
Ethan sighed dramatically, he stepped forward, placing a hand on Xavier's shoulder, "Why do you keep hurting yourself over her, Xavier?" Ethan asked, falsely sympathizing.
Removing Ethan's hand, "Why not tell me the whole story and then we will decide who is actually hurting?" Asked Xavier, sternly.
Huffing, Ethan turned around and sat on the couch placed in his suite, "At your wedding night, she asked me to save her from this marriage. So, we eloped. End of the story."
Nodding, "Hmm...what happened after that?" Xavier's muscles get tightened against his chest.
"As I have told you before, I took her to my beach house where we stayed for a couple of weeks," Ethan started, smirking in the next sentence, "Loving each other passionately, but I guess that woman was after my money." He raised up on his feet and stood in front of Xavier, "After spending the pleasurable night, she took my money and left."
"But you said she cheated on you?" Xavier tried to misguide Ethan.
Ethan's expression changed a bit but then he masked it, saying, "Oh, that too." Turning around, he lied pathetically, "It was very painful."
"Very painful, indeed." Xavier gritted his teeth in anger.
Ethan turned around with fake tears in his eyes, "Afterall once a cheat always a cheat." he said.
"Of course, once an actor always an actor." Xavier commented and he gulped, "Remember when we were in high-school, how you used to act in front of the prettiest girls, just to have their sympathy."
"What do you mean?" Ethan asked.
"I mean, if a cheater never fails to cheat, how can an actor fail in acting?" Xavier snapped and punched Ethan with all of his power.
Busting Ethan's lips as the blood seeped out of one corner at the sudden attack and he yelped.
"Tell. Me. The. Truth. Ethan." Xavier stepped forward.
"I already told-" and with that another solid punch busted Ethan's perfect face.
Grabbing him by the collars, "The truth Ethan." Xavier glared at him.
At first, Ethan blankly looked at Xavier's face, assessing his determination to know the truth. Then his frown changed into a devilish smirk, "It was a revenge," he said, "She was just a pawn."
Xavier's insides clenched in disgust for his own friend, "What do you mean by revenge?" Asked Xavier, letting go of Ethan's collar.
Stepping away from Xavier, Ethan glared at him, "I loved Natasha and you drove her away from me, you loved Evelyn, so I took her away from you Xavier Knight….

It was my revenge against YOU."
