The new life
“What is the most desired thing in the world? Is it money, power, status… maybe. But for me, it is love. I truly believe, we always hope to be with someone who can completely turn your world around. Who is there in every thought of yours and you in theirs, with whom you can share anything and everything, without worrying over the fear of being judged. And, we always find that one individual who has the power to have your heart and never break it, providing it a safe heaven.”
Five years later…

Family.
It's like music, some high notes and some low notes, but always a beautiful song.
This six-letter word is capable enough to give us a sense of comfort. As we know that someone's out there who cares about you, who loves you unconditionally, who's there to hold you in your dark times and throw a party in your brightest.
Maybe, I had that kind of love in my past or maybe not. But now I know for sure, I have a family, a small but happy family.
"Rose!" Aiden's called out for me.
Typical Aiden Wellesley!
He has been my rock since day one, since the day I regained my consciousness. In the beginning of my trimester, our friendship grew, but if I had to talk about my second and third trimester, we became best of friends.
"Hey! Why didn't you answer?" I saw him entering the kitchen where I was cooking breakfast for my two little monkeys.
Rolling my eyes, I gave him a fake smile, "Because my dear Addy, when you know my second home is the kitchen, why don't you check in here first, instead of yelling?"
Shaking his head, he came near me and kissed my cheek, keeping his things on the counter. "I like calling out your name, Rose." Said Aiden, showing me hi teeth.
Now, guys, woah, hold your horses!
Aiden and I, we are just friends. Good friends, but recently my feelings changed towards him and I honestly started to like this man. Not because he was the only guy friend I had. But, whenever I needed someone at my side, he was always there, standing right beside with his charming smile.
While I was engrossed in my thoughts, Aiden dipped his forefinger in the content that I was stirring, "Umm…. It's good, Rose. You should open a bakery or something." Said Aiden, licking his finger.
My eyes widened when I realized what he was doing, jabbing my elbow in his stomach, "Ow! What the fuck, Rose?" He whimpered in pain.
All the drama!
"No swearing, Aiden." I glared at him, playfully to which he looked least interested. Laughing, I shook my head slightly, and asked, "Can you wake them up? Today is their first day."
"It's not your first day, Rose. Stop being so nervous." Said Aiden, amusement flickering in his eyes while he took off his jacket, placing it on the couch in the living room.
Sighing, "How can I not be nervous, Addy? I mean, they are five, what if someone bullies them, what if they fall from the stairs, you know how bad they are with the stairs-" by this time, Aiden might have covered the distance between us as he cupped my cheeks, making me look into his grey eyes.
"They'll be fine, Rose. Nothing is going to happen to the kids." He said, calmly with determination. Searching his eyes for any hint of doubt and fear, but I found none. Smiling a bit, I nodded at him.
"I'll go, and wake them up." Said Aiden, walking towards their room. I sighed and finished the rest of the cooking as I know once they get in the kitchen, I couldn't cook.
After an hour, "Mommy!" Isaac and Isabella came running towards me and hugged my legs. Laughing, I crouched down and hugged my bundles of joy closer to my heart.
They were my kids, but they sure inherited most of the features, hair color and most importantly the eyes from their father.
Their father.
This question was out of the book for now as Aiden had been fulfilling the duties of father since their birth. I never asked him to do that but it was something he loved doing.
"Momma?" Their whining pulled me out of my thoughts as I pinched their small nose, getting, "Good morning monkeys."
If you look at Isaac, he looked nothing like me. He had this mixture of dusty brown and my strawberry blonde hair, in short you couldn't make out the color of his hair. Whereas Isabella, she inherited my looks and even the strawberry blonde locks. The thing none of my children inherited was my eyes, as they had forest green eyes.
I always had blurred images of some man with forest greens but other than that I couldn't seem to hear it clearly make out any meaning from my dreams.
"Mommy?" Isabella tucked on my apron, breaking the rush of my thoughts.
"Yes, baby?" I asked, looking at her.
"I'm hungry." She whined.
"Me too." Commented Isaac as Aiden picked both of them one by one and placed them on their seats.
As Aiden picked Isaac first, he sticked his tongue out to Isabella, saying, "I'm Addy's favorite." Making Aiden laugh in the process.
She glared at his brother, yelling, "Shut up! I'm Addy's favorite."
"Now Izzy, is that the way to talk to your brother, huh?" I scolded her, to which she looked down, saying, "Am sorry Momma."
Looking at his sister, Isaac turned towards with an angry frown for making his little sister sad. I just don't understand their twin-relationship. At one moment they wanted to kill each other and at another they were ready to kill anyone who made any of them sad with their icy glare.
"Well, both of you are my favorite kids. Now, let's have mommy's tasty breakfast, shall we?" Aiden asked in excitement, changing the mood of my kids instantly.
"Yes!" They exclaimed in unison.
Typical twins!
We talked, laughed, cried, fought and many more things in each other's company. And that was what made us a family.
My small and happy family.
Aiden fed Isabella as I fed Isaac, because we knew if we left them on their own, they would have fed their clothes instead of themselves.

"Get in, kids." Aiden shouted from the driver seat as I buckled Isaac and Isabella safely in the backseat.
"Are we late?" I asked, slipping into the passenger seat as I put my seatbelt on. When I looked back to check on my kids, I found them looking out of their side windows with an angry pout on their faces.
Great, enemy mode on.
"No, I forgot to tell you but we have a meeting lined up in an hour." Informed Aiden.
Well, when I wanted a job. Like always, Aiden stood at my side and he offered a job to me in his company.
'Wellesley Wedding Planners'
The banner was huge in itself as they were the most successful wedding company here in Hawaii. I started working as the flower department's head and now I work as his equal, as his partner.
"I did ask you about any supposed meeting, yesterday. How can you forget this, Addy?" I asked.
He looked at the rear-view mirror to see the kids glaring at each other, "Later." He gave me a look and I nodded in understanding.
After ten minutes, we reached the kid's school as I unbuckled them. Aiden and I crouched down in front of them as they gave us a short hug and stood patiently with their little bags on their shoulders.
I held their small hands in mine, and said, "Wish you both all the luck. Make good friends and take care of each other." I said brushing Isaac's hair away from his forehead.
"And Isaac, take care of your sister." Aiden added as Isaac immediately answered him by holding Isabella's hand in his.
Waving them a goodbye, they walked hand in hand with each other as we departed to our destination.
