Chapter 13 Sister Looking Alike
The next day.
Bane said she was going out to buy a dress and went out.
Rosa said nothing, much to Bane's surprise.
She was sure that Rosa was not looking out for her. Rosa even wanted to throw her out of the house. But how could she be so attentive?
There must be something wrong with paying for her clothes.
Bane put aside her doubts and took it one step at a time.
With the money, she went to a private bakery, cooked the meal, took it to the hospital, and went to the mall to buy a Barbie doll.
Sophie was so excited to see him that she hugged him and kissed him hard.
"Mom, I love you so much!
"Mommy loves you too, honey. Is it nice?"
"Yes, I like it!"
Sophie was holding the Barbie doll, beaming with delight.
Bane, too, was happy, much less depressed than he had been the night before because of Ward.
Sophie suddenly set aside the Barbie and said, "Mum, you're not going to buy me any more Barbie dolls!"
"Why not? Doesn't Sophie like Barbie dolls?"
"No, Sophie hates Barbie dolls,"
Bane was sad to see Sophie looking at the Barbie doll with so much love in her eyes.
Sophie was so old that she loved Barbie dolls, but she was sensible enough to care for her mother.
She was well aware that Sophie loved Barbie but didn't want her to spend money.
"Mum wants Sophie to like Barbie dolls and Mum wants to buy them for Sophie."
Sophie threw her head up and hugged her mother with red eyes.
"May I? Actually, Mum, I do. I really do like Barbie dolls, but Sophie doesn't want to see her burdened with them."
Bane's heart gave a strange pang.
"No, Sophie was never a burden to her mother. Sophie was a gift to her."
"Really? Wouldn't Mother want Sophie?"
"Of course not. Mother wouldn't want Sophie for anything."
Sophie hugged Bane tightly and whispered, "Mom, why did you leave Sophie before? The director said that the children in the courtyard were all orphans because their parents did not want them."
Bane's heart ached more, as though a sharp sword had pierced it.
Sophie lived in an orphanage for five years, leaving a huge shadow over her failure as a mother.
"No, it's because Mom couldn't get there to pick Sophie up, so the dean helped Mom take care of Sophie for the time being. Mom loves Sophie."
Sophie believed him, smiling instead as she hugged the Barbie doll happily.
Bane played with Sophie for a while, then decided to leave. She was going to deliver Norton's meal.
Out of Sophie's room, Bane headed straight for the top VIP room.
This floor was covered by Bert, with a lot of bodyguards.
She think Bert told her, so she went to bring her food, and the bodyguards just opened the door for her without saying anything.
Norton was typing code, his eyes light up when he saw Bane coming, and he left the computer.
"Pretty auntie."
Hearing the name, Bane did not know whether to laugh or cry.
Sophie liked to call handsome uncle when she saw Bert, and the two little creatures looked so much alike that even the way they called each other was the difference in character.
Sophie was very vivacious and giggly, while Norton was taciturn and smart enough to know how to threaten his father.
"Norton."
"Beautiful aunt, why are you here so late? I've been waiting for you."
"Sorry, aunt just accompany daughter, so come late."
"The beautiful aunt has a daughter?"
Speaking of Sophie, Bane's smile softened a lot as he said, "Yes, her name's Sophie, and she's about your age. You two look pretty much alike."
"Are we much alike?"
Bane nodded and opened his lunch box, spreading the delicious smell of the meal.
"Is my sister in the same hospital? Are you ill too?"
Bane was obviously stunned for a moment, sighed heavily, and said, "Yes, you're both sick. It's all right. You'll all be fine soon."
It was gonna be okay, no matter what.
"Auntie still have matter, left first."
"Good, beautiful aunt bye bye!"
After watching Bane leave, Norton ate his meal quickly, his belly full, and he had never experienced such satisfaction.
When he had finished eating, Norton put away his lunch box and quickly climbed out of bed to put on his shoes.
He was going to see his sister, the sister who looked like him.
At the door, the bodyguard stopped it.
"Little master, please go back to the ward."
Norton's little face was scowling, a little like Bert's.
'Go away and don't stop me!’
"Young master, the president told you not to leave the ward."
"You should know, I am the father's son, no matter what I do will not have too serious consequences, you really want to stop me?"
The bodyguards were stunned. Even though Bert was rarely there, they knew how important the young master was to him.
"Come with me, if you fear I shall be in danger."
Norton managed to get out, with six bodyguards following him.
He went straight downstairs, though he didn't know which ward Sophie was in.
But Norton was smart enough to go to the nurse's station and ask if there were any kids around his age who looked like him.
He did ask.
Maybe these two people really looked alike, beautiful and lovely children were always easy to remember.
Norton stood in the doorway of the hospital room, stunned to see Sophie playing with her Barbie doll.
It really looked like that.
Norton even suspected that the sister was his own sister.
Also wrong!
Dad wasn't interested in women. His mother couldn't even get close to him. How could this be his sister?
Norton frowned and thought about that.
Instead of going inside to talk to Sophie, he went straight back, took out the computer, and began typing.
He wanted to find out about his sister, so he was going to hack into the hospital computer.
His intuition told him that this sister was very likely to be his own sister.
What Norton did not know, though, was that this was the connection between twins.
On the other side.
What Bane didn't know was her random words, and the truth was slowly revealed.
She went to the mall and picked out a dress and went home.
The next day, Rosa did take her to a party.
The big hotel, Ron's group was the host.
Rosa gave her a look of triumph. "You stay where you are," she said. "No one will save you if you ruin the party. The heroine today is Betsy!"
