Chapter 149 Help
Bane paused for a moment and then remembered that he might be asking about something she had asked Jory for.
She hesitated for a moment, and then said it all, and Bert said no more.
"You're playing with fire."
"He said.
"But I don't know what to do."
Bane looked down.
"You can ask me to help."
Bert looked down at her, his voice low and a little enchanted.
"I..."
"You can please me, or beg me, and I'll consider helping you."
His mouth curled slightly, and there was a hint of mockery in his voice.
Bane shook his head with a flash of determination in his eye. "I should be able to handle it myself."
In fact, she could have begged her, for face was worthless to her, but this time she wanted to rely on herself.
Bert knew she would say that. Bane had always looked weak from the outside, but she was strong and brave, with a mind of her own, and a stubborn heart at the core of her.
Bert's memories of her past imprisonment flashed through her mind.
"I want to know what happened to you in those five years."
Bane paused, a flicker of discomfiture in his eyes.
Seeing her like this, Bert knew that the experience had never been a good one.
But think about it, who would think jail is a good thing, she is now, I'm afraid, through some torture.
There was a feeling of tightness in his chest for no reason, and he did not know how he had come to feel that way about this woman, but he knew how it felt.
He is loving her dearly.
It was a strange feeling, but he didn't want to deny it, because he was a man who never lied to himself.
"Never mind."
"I had forgotten."
Bane really didn't want to say much.
"By the way, who sent you the picture?"
"I don't know. I saw it in Jick's office. Someone must have let it pass."
It was in Jick's office, and he knew he couldn't get near Bert, so he had to think of other ways.
Burt continued, 'I don't believe this one photo alone, and I certainly can't guarantee that I'll be able to keep my cool after seeing other photos that are more outrageous.'
Hearing this, Bane was unjustifiably flustered, for she had no idea what had happened that day. She could tell.
Bert kept his mouth shut, but he was really angry.
But he also understood that any man could tolerate his fiancee lying in bed with another man, even if nothing had happened.
But Bert, furious enough, gave her a chance to explain.
Whatever the cause of his actions, Bane was touched.
Actually...
If they had not made the wrong start, maybe they would have turned out differently now.
"I'm sorry."
Bert rubbed his brow wearily. "Never see Ward again, or I might lose control."
Bane nodded quickly, knowing that Bert was giving her steps.
"Go back."
Bane said no more, but followed Bert and got into the car.
When she got into the car, she just texted Vader, telling her she was leaving and asking her to say sorry to Black.
When Bane got back, Bert carried her straight to her room, and she would never forget the day she almost got out of bed...
Yesterday was tormented all night, when I woke up the next day, it was already sunny outside the window, more than two o 'clock.
Nearby it was cold, and the man seemed to have left for a long time.
"Excessive."
Bane gritted his teeth. Suddenly there was a sound from the door.
"Are you awake, madam? Lunch is ready, and the young master says you have something to eat when you wake up, and then the chauffeur will be waiting for you at the door."
"Did he say where he was going?"
"I don't know."
Bane was still confused, wondering what was going on with Bert.
But she is still as cool as a cucumber. Everything was told yesterday and she has nothing to worry about.
Trying to hide it from Bert was exhausting.
During dinner, Bane receives a text message from Bert.
"Are you awake already?"
"Well, where are you going later?"
"Now it seems that I was too kind yesterday to get up so early."
Seeing this sentence, Bane only felt that everything in front of him did not smell good.
Her face crawled a red glow, this guy, said something.
There was a faint smile on his lips. Bane hardly dared to look at him.
"What about Sophie and Norton?"
Sophie and Norton are supposed to be home for the weekend, but at this late hour, we haven't seen them yet.
Myron smiled. "Master was afraid the children would disturb you when you went out, so I let master and young lady learn to draw. I guess it's about time now."
He had barely finished speArchimedesng when he heard the voices of two children outside.
"Elder brother, you wait a minute, I can't keep up."
"Take your time, Sophie. Take your time. My brother's here."
"Uh-huh."
"Mummy should be up by now, we... Mommy?"
Norton sees Bane sitting at the table and pulls Sophie over to her.
Bane picked them up, one on his left leg, the other on his right, and gave them both a kiss.
"What did you learn today?"
"Mommy, I went to learn arithmetic in my head, and the teacher said I was good at it."
"Sophie bragged, smiling broadly.
Bane paused. "Mental arithmetic? Aren't you going to paint?"
Besides, do girls like this stuff?
"I already knew how to draw, so I learned how to do arithmetic in my head so I could help Mommy later." Sophie looked proud.
"So that's what Sophie thinks."
Sophie nodded. "The teacher also said that people who are good at arithmetic can make a lot more money."
Hear her say so, Bane heart how many some moved, but more or sad and helpless.
When Sophie was a child, she had worked several jobs a day to help pay for her care. She had not wanted to tell Sophie.
But the child was wise, and found out afterwards, so that it was in her mind to be rich all the time.
Norton sees Bane staring into space, and knowing that she's thinking about the past, he quickly changes the subject. "Mummy, let's eat first, and when we're done, Daddy says he's tArchimedesng Sophie and me outside."
"Yes, Mummy, hurry up," Sophie said cheerfully. "You can go out when you're done eating."
Norton was a picky eater until Bane forced him to eat almost anything, but not much.
If Bane were here, he'd be clever enough to eat more.
Three people eat almost, this just a simple tidy up to go outside, go out of the time the driver has been waiting there.
The driver took the three of them to the mall, where someone was waiting.
After the previous incident, Bert arranged for them to have bodyguards.
At the mall, Bane received a text message from him asking her to show her children around and he would be with her in a minute.
I don't know why, seeing the two children, Bane suddenly wanted to buy a baby clothes.
Nearby, Sophie and Norton nod happily and look expectant.
Bane's holding one, two children in one hand and Bane's high level of appearance immediately attracted the attention of others.
If there were not two bodyguards behind them, they would have come straight at me.
"Gosh, these two kids are so cute."
"Yeah, it can't be a star."
