Chapter 150 Visit Your Hoom
"If she hadn't had a bodyguard next to her, I would have gone up and taken the picture."
"This look is who's young grandmother with the children out shopping, wow, envy envy."
Sophie pulled Bane's hand as Bane, now unfazed by what they had said.
Bane looked down at him quizzically. "Sophie, what's up?"
"Mummy, Sophie wants to go to the bathroom."
Bane looked around. Then he lowered his head and said to Norton, "You wait here for Mommy and her sister to come back. Don't run around. We'll go to the bathroom and be right back."
"Don't worry, Marmee, I'm not going anywhere here."
Still a little uneasy, Bane looked around, found a nearby milk tea shop, bought him a cup of milk tea and, after telling his bodyguard, took Sophie to the bathroom.
Norton sits delicately in the milk tea shop, hands propped up, looking out the window.
His brow furrowed at the sight of one of the figures.
Is Mr.
Why is she here!
From the look of it, Betz must have gotten a tip that they were going to the mall today, so she rushed to the bathroom when Bane and Sophie went.
"Norton, you come out, mommy's here, you come out and see mommy."
She wanted to rush up, but was stopped by bodyguards.
"What are you doing? I'm Norton's real mother, and how dare you stop me."
Betz shouted with a crazy look. She made a conscious attempt to rush in, but her bodyguard stopped her.
"Let me go. I want to see my son."
Norton jumped straight out of his seat. There was a gleam of ice under his eyes, not nearly as innocent as he had been in front of Bane. He took a deep breath and looked to the side at Betz, who smelled cold and bleak.
He's got the same aura now as Bert.
"What are you doing here?
There was no emotion in his tone.
Betz had not expected Norton to turn out like this and was a little scared for a moment, but then she thought that she was his mother and why she should be afraid of her son.
"Norton, they're hurting me. Make them let me go. I'm your real mother, and Bane is lying to you."
Norton raises his chin slightly, ignoring her. "I don't even want to see you right now. You'd better get out of here and hope my mommy doesn't see you, or I'm going to get you."
At this, Betz clasped her hands. A flash of anger flashed through his eyes. "Bane was not your real mother at all. She was a liar.
Betz's face was twisted, but she tried to keep a hint of kindness and gentleness in her voice.
Norton ignored her.
"That's a real grievance to you. If I remember correctly, you tried to strangle me when I was two and a half. Is that what you call love?"
Betz was stunned.
How could a two year old remember such things!
How can a two-year-old child know so much! He couldn't even speak clearly at that time.
When I was three years old, you threw me into a cold bath. I almost died of a high fever. Then Daddy found out early and I was fine.
Betz did not expect him to say this, and for a moment was a little shocked, why does this smelly boy know everything?
She had always thought that what she had done was unknown to anyone, but the boy knew, and even Bert at the time had only suspicions but no proof.
But now if Norton can say that, it's proof that Bert already knows.
"How? Shall I go on?"
"Norton... No, you must be deluded, but that's not true... What's done is done. I won't harm you any more. I'll do you good with all my heart."
"You have the cheek to say that."
Norton snorted coldly, ignoring her completely.
"Uncle, please throw her out."
When she heard Norton say this, Betz was completely flustered.
No, she can't leave here. If she does, she really has nothing.
The Archimedes family was on the verge of bankruptcy, all their bank cards had been frozen and their house had been sealed, and she had nothing left.
She had to leave with Norton, or she would have to live in poverty.
She doesn't want to be like those poor people.
Betz doesn't care about that now. She shouts wildly, "Norton, don't send me away. I can tell you a secret, a very, very important secret, if only you let me stay."
Norton doesn't want to hear it, but he hesitates when he sees Betz's look of confidence.
"You may begin by saying so."
"Isn't it nice to have so many people here talking? Why don't we go somewhere else I'll tell you."
Then, as if afraid of Norton's disapproval, Betts begins again. "I swear, this secret must mean a lot to you," she says. "And with all your guards, there's nothing I can do to you."
Norton looks at him coldly and does not answer.
At last Betz panicked. If Bane came back, she really would have nothing.
"Betz, please, I've been your mother for six years anyway. That's a secret worth hearing."
It was a moment before Norton nodded.
"Let's go to the cafe next door."
Then he said you leave first.
"Uncle, you two just follow me here. The others wait here."
He was afraid Mummy would worry if he could not be found.
Betts was relieved to see that Norton was willing to leave.
The cafe is empty at this hour, so Norton has found a corner.
When she saw the bodyguard following closely, Betz was somewhat resentful, but she could not help it. "Norton, is that how you guard mommy?"
She can't take him in this state.
"As I said, you are no longer my mommy, and if you dare to say that again, I will tell Daddy at once, for I am afraid you can't live in this city any more."
When she heard him speak of Bert, she made a conscious shudder, and said, "Sit here and wait for me."
