Chapter 155 Vague Atmosphere
She didn't know what to say, and every time she was alone with him there was something ambiguous about it.
Bert snorted coldly. "Your little thoughts were all written in your face, and it would be hard for me not to know."
Burt took out the other two pictures again. "There's a lot of reflection of the man in these pictures. See if that sounds familiar, if you can spot anything."
Bane looked carefully for a moment, then shook his head. "I'm sure it doesn't look like Archimedes."
"Archimedes doesn't have that intelligence."
Bert touched the table lightly with his forefinger, as if in thought.
"You'll have to stay here for a while to be on the safe side. Myron will be at home to avoid each other. I'll leave Jick and Tom here.
He seemed to have arranged everything, as if she had nothing to worry about.
"Bert."
She gave an involuntary cry.
'What?
"Did you think the photos were fake when you first got them?"
How else could he be so calm and have planned all this for a long time.
Bert put down his photograph, and leaned back a little, slouched, his eyes like deep pools, so that it was hard to see what he was thinking.
After a long time he said in a low voice, "I didn't believe it at first. I wanted to kill you when I first saw it."
Bane paused.
"You should be thankful that I'm not blind. Why didn't I see it twice and find something wrong before I asked you? But I didn't expect Bane, your first reaction was to leave.
Bane felt a thump in his heart and did not know how to answer for a moment.
She had indeed thought about leaving, several times.
He took a deep look at her. "Are you so afraid around me? You don't trust me?"
"That's not what I mean."
"What does that mean?
Bane did not know what to say for a moment, and she felt overwhelmed.
After a moment Bert stood up and put the pen near him to her mouth. "Bite."
Bane had a twinge of doubt in his eye, but he obeyed.
Bert was instantly close to him, feeling his breath, and Bane made a conscious attempt to release himself and back away.
"Good, don't drop, or the punishment will be more serious."
There was a hint of glamour in his voice.
Hearing this, Bane was about to let go, biting.
Bert got up and wrapped him in his arms and looked down at her, the breath straight in her face.
'Afraid?
"No."
Bane shook his head.
She's telling the truth now.
She might have been afraid before, but now she was really used to it.
Now dressed in casual clothes, he did not seem so serious and aloof, and she felt that she could approach him at any time.
"You can guess how I came to see these details."
Bane thought about it for a moment, but he was still confused.
After a moment Bert suddenly said in a low voice, "After all, you don't look so cold with me."
Bane did not take it seriously at first, but then blushed.
It's like a ripe apple, you can't help but want a taste.
Bane unconsciously shook his head, trying to speak, but unable to speak with his pen in his mouth.
"Don't forget you can't drop your pen."
Bert came a little closer again, his mouth almost to her ear.
Behn's goose pimples had gone up, and she felt as though her whole body had gone limp. She sank into the sofa, looking even smaller and weaker.
Bert's eyes grew deeper and deeper as he saw her.
"Bane, there are things I know, but that doesn't mean I don't mind. I don't want you to bring me bodyguards everywhere you go in the future."
He approached her neck slowly, his voice getting deeper and deeper. "And don't run away again, or I'll catch you back and break your leg, and see if you dare to run."
She knew very well that what he said was true.
Closing her mind, Bane dropped the pen, which still had some of her teeth marks on it, which she did not want to see at all, because, for the first time, she was angry.
Who doesn't have a temper?
Bert, however, was in a good mood, and usually at this time of the year he would crack an undetected smile.
Jick had guessed, though, that the boss and his wife were in the study. Surely something would happen, but after all, he was trained by the boss, so he quickly gave up his idea and did what the boss arranged first.
...
"Sir, I have put guards on the entire island and the security system around the villa has been completely updated."
Bert nodded.
Norton looks at Bert suspiciously. "Daddy, are we going to stay a long time?"
"Don't you need to go to kindergarten?" Sophie wondered.
Bert looked down and thought for a moment. "I'll do it in the shortest time."
Norton knew what Daddy was capable of, and he said there was a quick fix and a sure way to do it.
Usually, Daddy will solve anything quickly and never get into such trouble.
Is it because this time it's about Mommy?
Norton has no choice but to grow up quickly so he can protect his mother.
Sophie glanced at her brain, then at Mammy next to her, as if thinking of something, then said with a look of curiosity, "Daddy, are you playing with love down there?"
"It's an underground affair."
Norton can't help correcting.
Bane, who had not thought the little girl would say this, blushed.
"Watch less TV series in the future."
Little age, have learned what.
Sophie assumed naivete. "I don't know anything, Mommy, really."
Bert could not help laughing, and the laughter grew louder and louder, and seemed to soften his whole being.
The servants froze when they saw this.
It was the first time they had ever seen the president so happy.
At first they had thought Bane was just a lover Bert had brought home, but now they dared not think so.
Especially when she saw how much Bert doted on Sophie, she could not afford to offend Bane.
"Everything Sophie says is right."
Bert rubbed her first head, and spoke dottingly.
Bert glanced at the time. "Hungry? Let's get something to eat first."
Sophie said quickly, "I want the same cake we had together last time, Daddy."
Some unpleasant memories came to Bert at once when he said this.
