Chapter 205 Doubt
Bane had remained silent, and Bert, sensing her emotion, went over to her.
"Tired?
Bane wanted to ask who he was calling, but he hesitated for a moment, then swallowed the words on his lips and gave a faint nod.
"Then sit down and rest."
"It's all right, Sophie is the most important thing now."
"You're important, too. Go back and let the doctor see you." Bert gave her belly a worried look.
Bane was relieved to see that his fears did not seem to be feigned.
How could she suspect that Bert was really pregnant, and that he was getting more and more paranoid?
Bane nodded, not contradicting either.
Bane had wanted to stay by Sophie's side, but Bert said no, and told her to go back to the manor and rest.
The surgery is at 2 p.m. the next day, so she'll just have to come earlier.
"Bane, you're pregnant now. You'd better go home and rest. I'll see no problem here."
Anne was also worried that her body would not be able to handle it.
At last Bane agreed to go back, and Bert himself took her back.
Back at the farm, Bane had been uneasy all the time, and for some reason she felt a little worried.
Lying in bed, I couldn't sleep.
Bert came in and lay down beside her and hugged her gently. "Still worried about Sophie?"
Bane nodded. "Sophie is only five years old, and I would be a little apprehensive about having an operation like this."
"I made the best of it. I'm sure it'll be all right."
Bert was behind her, gently coaxing her, and perhaps because of his presence, she soon fell asleep.
Bane woke up suddenly in the middle of the night, and she turned her head to see him holding her.
He is a really good looking man. He can be said to be the kind of man who enjoys food from heaven.
She suddenly remembered how fierce he had looked when she first saw him in the hospital.
I did not expect that at that time so fierce a man now unexpectedly so gentle lying beside her holding her.
He was a wonderful father and gave his children the best life possible.
He does everything himself.
One thing Bane didn't say was that it was hard for a man as fine as Bert not to fall for it once he had treated him gently.
Just because she's in it now, she's always be swayed by considerations of gain and loss.
Bane made a conscious attempt to reach out and touch him, but he frowned when he first touched him.
Bane reached back at once.
Only Bert was not awake. He had been asleep all the time. He seemed tired.
He must be very busy with work recently.
There was a pang in Bane's eyes. He had been busy with their business all this time, tired that was for sure.
For the first time she felt that if she could only help him.
Bane wanted to treat him better in the future anyway, and she had to trust him.
Just as he was thinking, Bert's cell phone suddenly gave a very slight vibration.
Her heart a sudden shock, subconsciously looked at his mobile phone on the bedside table, now is lit, can only vaguely see what seems to be a text message.
Moments later the text message came again.
Bane is worried about important work and quietly reaches for his phone.
She saw the text as soon as she got it.
"Bert, I'm not feeling well now. Come here, old place."
Bert had a long sleep, and when he woke up he was quite drowsy.
He hugged the man in his arms and took a deep breath. "Did I sleep too long?"
"No, just more than five hours, you sleep for a while, I see you very tired recently."
At the sound of her gentle voice, Bert buried his face in her arms. "Go to sleep."
"Good."
Bert was so stupefied now that he did not notice that Bane was in a bad mood.
Bane took a deep breath and told himself not to think about it, pushing back his discomfort and trying to appear natural.
"Hungry? Would you like something to eat and some more rest?"
Bane spoke slowly. She felt a little uncomfortable in her heart. She subconsciously wanted to run away from him.
Bert nodded. He was a little hungry indeed, and sat up slowly, then helped Bane to his feet again.
Bert looked at his phone. It was already twelve o 'clock.
I have to go to the hospital soon. I have a lot of things to do. I don't think I need to sleep tonight.
"Myron should have all the food ready. Go down."
Bane nodded and got out of bed, but her eyes were always on Bert.
Bert didn't notice, but calmly picked up the phone.
His face stiffened when he saw the message, and Bane's heart sank when he saw it here.
But she kept on acting like nothing had happened.
"Is the office busy?"
"No."
Bert then led her downstairs, and then Myron was afraid that they might wake up hungry, so he prepared plenty of food, a light, nutritious porridge.
Bane sat at the table, looking at the porridge but not eating it.
"Don't you like it? I'll have the servant get you something else."
Bane shook his head. "That's all right. That's all I like."
Bane ate a mouthful, a smell of meat immediately spread out, she subconsciously covered her mouth, directly ran to the toilet.
Bert hastened to follow, with a flicker of worry in his eyes.
Three months later, Bane's morning sickness was much better, and I don't know what happened today.
Bane had been vomiting in the bathroom for a long time before she got over it. She was just feeling really sick.
She was afraid.
Because of the text message.
She was afraid that their trust would collapse because of that text message.
Bane bitter Yang Yang mouth, she knew should not make gossip, but his heart is not comfortable.
All sense, but she can't do it.
Is it really more and more after pregnancy?
"What do you think, Bane?
Bane looked up just in time to see Bert in the mirror, looking at her with a worried face.
"Nothing. Maybe I ate too fast and my stomach upset."
Bert's eyes flickered with remorse. He had not noticed that she was unwell.
"Then what do you want to eat? I'll ask the servant to prepare it again."
Bane nodded. She knew this was not the time to be capricious. The baby needed nourishment.
But there's really nothing she wants to eat right now.
She turned around, looked at him, after a moment very serious way: "you cook for me to eat."
Bert paused.
"I shouldn't have asked."
Still, Bane looked at him carefully.
She saw that Bert had been silent, and was about to say that she was joking, when he assented.
"I'm not good at it, as long as you're not disappointed." Bert smiled.
