Chapter 32 The Cunning Father
Especially at this moment, they are so close for the first time, Norton's little heart can't help but beat faster, it feels strange.
Sophie feels the same way. She reaches out and embraces Norton, then says, "Don't be afraid, little brother. Here comes Sophie."
Norton's small body stiffened, but recovered quickly and he took Sophie's hand in his. "You're Sophie, I'm Norton, you... It's my sister."
Sophie cocked her head. "You're the little brother, I'm the little sister, I understand."
Norton feels a little depressed, but he doesn't explain any more until he finds proof.
He really hoped that his sister would be Sophie and his mother would be the beautiful aunt.
"Brother, may I take you out?"
Norton wasn't going to hide there anymore, either, because his dad was going to get him out anyway.
Finally, Sophie leads Norton out of the bushes.
Bert had been angry, but when he saw the similar faces of Sophie and Norton, the angry words died alive.
Bane, too, could not help but stare blankly.
Norton and Sophie looked a lot like her, she knew, but she couldn't help marveling at the coincidence as they stood next to each other.
But on second thought, after all, Betsy and she had the same father, so close in blood, that their likeness was not so strange.
It was Bert, on the other hand, with an uncertain look on his face, and a deeper look in his eyes.
"Mom, little brother was brought out by me!"
"Sophie's amazing!
Bane pinched Sophie's cheek gently, then looked back at Norton. "You're going to worry your father a lot," he said. "You know what?"
Norton bowed his head with a grace.
Bert looked at him. "Go home!" he said.
"All right, Dad. I did something wrong. I'm sorry."
Bert's eyes narrowed. There was something wrong with him. He knew what Norton was, he knew he wouldn't be very obedient, and now he was admitting he was wrong?
Norton looks at his father, his little fists clenching tighter and tighter, because there are strands of hair in his hands.
Bert didn't want to put Norton outside for a lesson, so he didn't say anything.
Bane sees that Norton has been found and Sophie looks tired. Considering Sophie's health, he plans to go home first.
Bert, aware that Sophie was not looking well, aware of her physical condition, nodded and ordered the chauffeur to take them to the hospital.
Bane didn't say anything. After all, it wasn't Bert who took her to the hospital. It was easy to talk about.
As Bane and Sophie leave, Bert turns to look at Norton. "Let's go!"
Norton walks slowly behind Bert, the hair on his hands carefully hidden.
After getting into the car, Norton is silent for a moment, but he still asks, "Daddy, how did you know I was in the amusement park?"
He had planned all this with all his might, even though he knew his father would find him eventually, but he didn't expect to find him so soon, which made him feel very frustrated.
Bert gave him a look, and smiled. "You're my son. Do you think you can escape?"
Norton, with a tight face and serious thinking, quickly figured out the reason: "Dad, I know, so the self-driving car must have a double positioning, right? All the original dug pit! There's no escape in that car!"
"Or the car couldn't have been there!"
That car is just a pit dug for you to drive until you're too short to drive.
Bert had been prepared for all this.
Norton is even more depressed.
What a cunning father!
When Sophie returned to the hospital, Bane quickly called the doctor in to check on her, and her mind was at ease once she was sure there was nothing wrong.
Sophie's condition has almost stabilized. The doctor also suggested that Sophie be taken home to recuperate. After all, five-year-old children are very sensitive and staying in the hospital all the time is not good for their mental health.
In addition, the nurse had seen Sophie sobbing under the covers many times.
Bane's heart was cut when he heard this, and Sophie kept it to herself, never looking so happy to her.
Sophie's taking it home. So, she's going to settle things!
"You're leaving here?"
Rosa's face was full of disbelief.
"Well, Sophie doesn't have to stay in hospital all the time, I have to take care of her, and I've found a house!"
'Don't dream of it, I won't agree to it!
Rosa's face was full of disdain, a pair of your words are nothing to look at.
Bane's face was undisturbed. "I'll finish the discharge formalities right away and leave as soon as I can."
"Bane Reed, do you know what you're talking about?
"Aunt Davis, I won't bother you any more."
With that, Bane went upstairs.
'Bane Reed!
"Aunt Davis, what's the matter now?
'You must stay honest here, and the hospital can't treat the child badly, and you mustn't bring her back! I only consent that you should go and see her, and I will not allow you to take her away! '
Bane turned with a sneer. "Auntie Davis, you'd better not push me," he said. "If you push me too hard, don't be rude.
Rosa was immediately alarmed and said, "I'm only sharing your worries. After all, the boy is seriously ill. Can you afford it?"
"It's none of your business, and you'd better not think of meddling!"
This is impossible!
After all, Betsy had called her the day before and said that Bert had begun to suspect her and was going to find out what happened six years ago, and if he did find out during that time, it would be all gone.
Absolutely not! Bane Reed has to stay here no matter what! The danger can only be reassured if it is in front of your eyes!
Rosa's face suddenly turned cold and she began to threaten Bane directly.
"Bane Reed, however much you hate to admit it, you should have called me Mother. You are my daughter, too, and Sophie is my granddaughter. I did it for you, and you mustn't be ungrateful, or --"
Undaunted, Bane asked directly, "What else?"
Rosa, surprised by Bane's directness, dismissed it. "You'd better be good," she said. "You'll be too late for that.
