Chapter 4 Finding a Job
When she arrived at the door of Ron's, she wondered if she was ill.
She took Sophie at her word and applied for the job. Though hesitant, she gritted her teeth at the thought that Sophie was suffering.
Once inside, the receptionist stopped her.
"Where is your reservation, miss?"
"Sorry, I don't have an appointment..."
"That is sorry, you can't go in, this is the company regulation."
Bane quickly pulled out the card and held it up to the front desk. "I was given this card and asked to apply here."
When the receptionist looked at the card, the disdain vanished from her face and her tone changed into a respectful one.
"Then stay here for a while and I'll ask."
Was it possible that this Bert Ron was some manager of this Ron company? Why else would this receptionist be like this?
Bane sat there nervously, somewhat regretful.
Ron group she was to know, the business ranked first in the imperial capital ah, was countless people wanted to enter all could not enter the enterprise, the row on their own?
There must be something wrong with you, or you wouldn't have come.
Inside the meeting room, the atmosphere was indescribably low. All the department managers kept their heads down and did not dare to look up at Bert.
Bert looked about him, without warmth in his voice. "What? Can anyone explain?"
Then the gloom grew, and Bert's secretary came in and whispered something in Bert's ear.
A look of surprise crossed Bert's face. This woman had dared to come.
Seven days had passed since the hospital episode, and he had barely remembered it, but had not thought that the woman had come.
He had always promised to do, promised things would be done, and then a simple account of the secretary a few words.
Soon, the receptionist came back with a smile on her face. "Please wait a moment, miss. The manager will be with you in a minute."
Bane paused. Did she really have a job?
Soon after, the HR manager came along and offered Bane a job in Ron's design department, and Bane became an employee in Ron's design department.
After leaving, Bane felt like he was dreaming.
It was all so surreal!
She was an employee of Ron's Group!
Bane's heart was lightened by the thought that Sophie's medical bill would be covered.
And grateful to the person who gave Sophie her card.
She had no idea who it was that had allowed her to get into Ron's Group and that the receptionist and the hiring manager had so much respect for her.
Still, she wanted to thank him, so she got up early the next morning and went to the kitchen to prepare a very hearty lunch.
She had no money to buy a present, so this was the only way to thank the person.
Then she cleaned up briefly and Bane went off to work at Ron's Group.
Today was the first day of employment, Bane was still very nervous at the beginning, after all, the people who could work in Ron Group are the elites who graduated from famous schools, and Bane, was a person who relies on connections to get in.
To her surprise, she found her colleagues to be very agreeable.
Let Bane originally quite nervous heart instantly relaxed down.
Before long, it was twelve o 'clock, and instead of dining with his colleagues, Bane went to see the manager.
"Manager Jonathan, could I trouble you to give him this?"
Helen Jonathan looked puzzled. "Who is he?"
"It's Bert Ron!”
Helen's leg visibly trembled, and Bane looked puzzled and asked, "Yes, what's the problem?"
Helen could not help pulling out of her mouth: "You, you are sure to give the total... Bert Ron?"
Bane nodded and said, "Yeah, I don't know who to call. Can you deliver it for me?"
Helen carefully took the lunch, but the words were on the tip of her tongue: "Your relationship... Is it as good as this?"
Bane shook his head and smiled. "No, it was just to thank him."
The man took his lunch, and she felt better, for it was all she could do for him.
She had studied pharmacology for some time before, and her food was very nutritious.
Manager Jonathan took the lunch with a complicated look on his face and left.
But all this, but just a design assistant to see.
When Bane returned to the office, she was puzzled to find that her colleagues had become aloof, some even ignoring her greetings.
Why did they suddenly change?
...
In the president's office.
Bert had been reading the contract when suddenly he received a lunch box with a mixed expression.
It took Bert a long time to let go of his contract. He was indeed hungry now, but he had always been a picky eater. Only the meals of a few great chefs suited him, and he seldom ate anything of dubious provenance.
So he always had a bad taste.
He picked up the bento box and was about to throw it into the trash can when his mind flashed a picture of Sophie, wide-eyed and pathetic, and he yanked back his hand.
In the end, the lunchbox was opened, and the office was filled with the aroma of the meal.
Bert was surprised. The taste seemed tolerable.
He took a spoon to dig a mouthful into his mouth, at first thought he would resist, but did not think that he was not disgusted by the taste, and even felt his stomach warm up.
At the end of the day, Manager Jonathan went to Bane's with his empty lunch box, his face all ingratiating.
"The general... Ah, he said yes, to make eggplant tomorrow."
What? So was he ready to order?
Bane looked puzzled. "You... Are you sure he wants more tomorrow? '
Manager Jonathan gave a few quick nods.
Although this matter was some trouble, but this work was so hard-won, she of course agreed, these regard as thanks to him.
"All right, I see."
"Wait, there's another thing..."
'What?’
Helen directly to Herbert said unto all out: "he also said that food is not put in parsley, don't put the chopped green onion, can put a little garlic, but not too much, the steamed pumpkin is too bad, don't do steamed so long, and the oyster sauce too much on the minced meat, taste is overweight, fish don't cook for so long, not have to pay attention to, pastry pretty good."
After a few words, not a bit worse.
Bane was stunned. Was the man using her as a cook? Ordering, but commenting?
Helen thought it over, and then he said: "Well, that's all, you must remember, you mustn't forget!"
