Chapter 87 Sophie is seriously ill
Bane searched her mind for an answer, but a sudden pain in her jaw forced her thoughts back.
Bert pinched her chin with such force that the red mark made Bane look straight at him.
"Huh? Do you like him? Do you have such an idea for a wine-shop?"
"Don't talk nonsense! Let go!"
Bane was a little frightened, for Bert's face was so terrible now that it had turned straight away, and the anger on his face made Bane a little afraid.
Bert took a step forward, almost on top of Bane, and said, "What? Are you so hungry? Why do you want to go far? Am I worth less than him?"
Bane suspected that Bert was really mad, and very mad, and suddenly lost his temper and made such insulting remarks.
"Bert Ron! Let go of your hand!"
"How? Am I right? If that's the case, think it over, and, of course, I hope you can give me an answer that will please me."
Bert could not understand why he should be so suddenly angry.
Especially when he saw Bane leaning in that man's arms, and he didn't know how to make the move. He almost wanted to kill him!
Bane could bear it no longer, and trod on Bert's shoes, pushing him out of the way as Bert's hand began to move.
"Bert Ron, would you please stop! Will you stop your nonsense!"
Bert looked at her, put his hand on his forehead, bowed his head, and smiled.
'Bane Reed! Don't you mess with me!"
Bane's hands clenched into fists, and without saying anything, he just walked away.
Bert stood there for a long time.
When they returned, Bane's anger did not subside, for Bert's actions and words were beyond her comprehension.
You were fine, and then all of a sudden you have a seizure?
Seeing Bane's angry look, Anne asked, "What's the matter? Why do you look so angry?"
Bane shook his head deflated. "Where's Sophie?" he asked.
"Already in bed."
Bane walked over to the bed, found Sophie obediently tucked into bed, suddenly in a better mood, and tuck her in.
"Haven't you been away? How did you get back so fast?"
A look of defeat came over Bane's face as he said, "Bert Ron is really sick!"
'What happened?' asked Aniston, looking ill.
"Oh, well, I don't want to say anything."
They had had a hard time getting to know each other, but today's events have ruined it.
Bane was again wary of Bert.
She was a little shaken at first, but now she understands that things can't be as simple as they seem.
With the rain still pouring down and no sign of an end in sight, Bane, tired, lay down next to Sophie for a rest.
Finally, she was awakened by the heat of the body heat nearby.
She touched Sophie's tiny body, and the sleepiness vanished. She jumped out of bed, touched Sophie's forehead, and noticed that it was hot.
Sophie's face was now pained, her brows furrowed, her cheeks flushed with fever.
Bane was so terrified that he snatched Sophie up in his arms, Shouting, "Sophie! Sophie! Wake up! Open your eyes! Sophie!"
Anne, who had heard the noise, hurried to Sophie and began to panic. "Sophie has a fever?"
"It is! Sophie had a fever! Get the doctor with you at once!"
"I'll be right there."
Anne was in such a hurry that she ran to the doctor, not even putting on her shoes.
Bane wrapped Sophie's body around her so that her head was visible. Bane got water and a handkerchief. He dipped a little water into the handkerchief and began wiping Sophie dry.
It took a few moments for Sophie to open her eyes. They rested on her mother.
"Sophie, you're awake. Don't be afraid. Mother's here."
"Mom..."
"Yes, mother does not go, don't be afraid."
"Mom... I...... Good uncomfortable......"
Bane, her eyes flashing red, asked, "Sophie, talk to Mom. What's wrong?"
"Hot... Mom... Sophie is so hot..."
Sophie tried to pull back the covers, but Bane held them back.
"Sophie is obedient. You mustn't pull back the covers. Mother will wipe the sweat off your face."
Soon after, the doctor is called by Anne, along with Bert and Norton.
Bane, regardless of his previous unhappiness with Bert, hastened to send the doctor to Sophie, who stood by, her face full of worry, tears well up in her eyes, but she could not help stifled them.
Norton holds his father's hand tightly and is worried to see the doctors surrounding his sister.
"Dad, I want Sophie to be all right, Dad."
Bert touched his head and said earnestly, "You can count on Sophie to be all right, certainly not."
Before long, the accompanying doctor had finished the examination, but his face was a little ugly.
"The fever is caused by the side effect of the new medicine, which has been hidden in the body for a long time. Now it breaks out, and you have to be rushed to the hospital with insufficient medical equipment."
Bane gasped, then looked quickly at Bert. "Is there a hospital here?"
Bert, not looking very well, nodded. "I'll get the cab right away," he said. "Come on!"
Sophie was picked up by Bane, along with the quilt, and started to leave the room, but Bert stopped her. "I'll get it."
"No need, I'll do it myself."
"Aren't you afraid of falling?"
In desperation, Bane handed Sophie to Bert.
Sophie was held in Bert's arms and led away to the parking lot.
Norton doesn't say anything. He just follows quietly, his eyes red, his eyes resting on his sister.
When Bane sees it, he grabs Norton's tiny hand, which Norton quickly grabs back at his mother's, saying, "Sophie's going to be all right! Surely not!"
Bane suppressed his bitterness and nodded at Norton. "Yes! Sophie will be all right!"
The rain outside is still heavy and shows no signs of abating, with roads largely submerged and visibility limited.
They were directly trapped by the heavy rain.
When the car on the road, because half of the body of the car is in the water, so it will stall, can not go.
When they stopped, the driver said to Bert, "Boss, the water is too high for us to walk."
Bert's face was very ugly and he shouted, "Change your route now!"
