Chapter 88 What to Do
"Boss, there's only one hospital in the island! It's the only way to get to the hospital, and it'll take an hour to clear it."
But why did Sophie last so long? If this side effect is not checked in time, the consequences will be unimaginable!
"The boss! There's another shortcut to the hospital! But you can't drive there, it's too small.
'That way!
The driver made a quick turn and headed for the shortcut, which was an undeveloped road full of potholes and mud.
At the intersection, the driver, holding the umbrella, quickly got out of the car. He offered to help carry the child, but Bert refused, and Sophie was lifted out of the car.
Bane tried to get Sophie back, but Bert didn't give her a chance.
"Take Norton with you and keep up."
Bert wrapped Sophie in a quilt and covered her with a coat to keep her from getting caught in the rain.
Bert's bodyguards stood on either side of him, holding umbrellas to protect him and Sophie from the storm, and they hurried off to the hospital.
Bane picked Norton up through clenched teeth and followed.
Because she didn't have much strength to hold it for long, it was lucky that Anne would hold it for a while.
Bane looked at Bert's figure, his mind less flurred, and he felt that with Bert there Sophie must be all right.
Rain, finally weakened, the original overcast sky slowly restored to the original color.
After they arrived at the hospital, one by one are very distressed, no one's clothes are not dirty.
As soon as Sophie arrived at the hospital, she went to the emergency room.
Everyone was waiting in front of the emergency room.
Bane had not yet recovered from her fright, and her eyes rested on the emergency room door until a coat was thrown over her shoulders.
She raised her head and met Bert's eye.
"Don't worry."
"Said Bert.
Bane, with a red eye, bowed his head, and did not refuse Bert's offer.
Bane finally felt a warmth in his Bert coat.
Bert doesn't say anything more. He goes straight to Norton and sees Norton cowering there. Bert takes Norton in his arms and touches Norton on his forehead.
Norton grabs Dad around the neck, shakes his head, and whispers, "Daddy, Sister will be all right?"
His voice was so low that only Bert could hear him.
But Bert was silent.
Without wiping his eyes, Norton sobs, "Daddy, is there anything we can do to get my sister back? Dad, I want my sister to live well..."
At this point, Bert came up with another idea, a bone marrow transplant, and Bert and Sophie's bone marrow were not a match, so Norton had the best hope.
He closed his eyes and thought of what had just happened. As he held Sophie in his arms, he felt the most fearful he had ever felt.
He was really scared this time.
He couldn't watch his unrecognized daughter die.
There was a long pause, and then Bert said dully, "When you do, you examine it."
Norton did not ask why, but nodded obediently.
Just then Bane came up to them.
"Sorry, and thank you."
Norton is let down by Bert. Knowing that his father wants to talk to his mother, Norton walks away, and finally comes to Annie's side, where he waits.
Anne glanced in the direction of Bert and Bane, then touched Norton's little head and pushed him against her.
After that, Bane said nothing more.
These were the most words she had ever said to Bert, I think.
Even though Bert was always doing something that made her angry, she always found him when she was at a loss.
Her eyes rested on Bert, whose hair, now all wet, hung down on his head, and the drops of water were slowly falling from it.
His clothes were barely dry and his trousers were covered with muddy water.
Now he is very embarrassed.
But she couldn't look away.
She bowed her head and said, "I agree to be Norton's governess. I'll take good care of Norton."
Compared with Sophie, those moral boundaries and vigilance mean nothing.
How could Sophie ever forgive herself if something had happened to her?
Sophie had been saved many times. Bane owed him that, and it was time he paid her back.
Bert laughed and wept, and said, "You needn't thank me, and you needn't be sorry."
Bane paused.
"Those who... It was my responsibility."
Bane in the heart a tight, but still squeezed out a smile, said to still have some halting: "Bo...... Bert Ron, I don't know what you mean."
Bert looked at Bane carefully, a dark light passing under his eyes, as though he had decided something, or had already decided something.
"Match Norton and Sophie, and if they do, we'll be able to operate."
At this, Bane's mind went blank and his reason and thoughts vanished.
There was not a word of Bert's sentence that she did not know.
But when the words were put together, she was confused.
Bert looked at her carefully. "The world's top experts have been contacted," he continued. "They'll be here next week, Sophie will be on the latest version of her medication, and if they don't match, Sophie will be on the latest version of her medication."
Bane watched Bert's mouth open and close, but his ears seemed blocked and he could hear nothing.
"I'll extend my search overseas, too, and if I find it, I'll send it straight here. That's the only way."
Having said this, Bert stood there, not urging Bane to respond to him, but waiting for him to respond to him.
It took Bane a long time to recall her thoughts. She looked at Bert with a glazed face and said, "Noel, Norton and Sophie... Why match?"
Bert did not speak, but remained silent.
After a long pause, Bane pushed the smile back out and said, "Are you going to tell me a joke? Bert Ron, I don't like that joke."
Then Bert said slowly, "Six years ago, I was hiding in a room at the Noville Hotel after an assassination, and you broke into that room."
Bane's face went white in an instant, and her strength seemed taken away. She nearly fell to the ground, and Bert tried to catch her, but Bane pushed his hand away.
