Chapter 91 Excellent Sophie
"Good! Mom, I'm so happy!"
"Norton, will you miss your class if you come with me?"
Upon arrival, Bane found out that Norton had already begun to learn about college.
She had no idea that Bert had raised Norton so well. The sight of Norton's packed schedule made her feel tingling, but Norton was under no pressure to learn.
"Don't worry, Mom! Those I listen to once will, will not fall behind homework, we hurry to pick up the younger sister back!"
Norton looks worried, his little face full of anticipation.
Without further comment, Bane and Norton went to the hospital together. Myron had already arranged for a driver and would drive them directly to the hospital at a moment's notice.
Sophie had long been awake, her handsome uncle had told her, oh no, her father had told her, that her mother and brother would come to the hospital to take her home.
Sophie was quick to accept the news. Bert had told her what had happened when she woke up, and when she understood, she had simply called Bert "father."
She also stopped using the word "little" when addressing Norton.
Annie smiled at the expectant look on Sophie's little face. "Is Sophie waiting for Mom?" she asked.
Sophie nodded earnestly. "I'm still waiting for my brother!" she said happily. I will have a brother in the future! Dopted mother! I have a brother and a father!"
Sophie had repeated the words dozens of times, as if she wanted to break the news to the world.
Anne sighed inwardly at Sophie's delight.
Whether it was a good thing or a bad thing that they met now, no one could tell.
It was true, however, that Anne was growing uneasy.
As soon as Bane and Norton entered the room, Sophie climbed off the bed and rushed to grab Bane's legs, her little face glowing with excitement.
"Mom! Big brother!"
At the sound of his sweet brother, Norton's heart almost melted and his eyes twinkled.
Bane took Sophie in his arms. "Is Sophie waiting for Mom?" he asked.
"Yes, yes, Mother, you've come to take me home, haven't you? Dad? Where is father?"
The sight of Sophie accepting Bert so quickly and addressing him so affectionately filled her with mixed feelings. She felt that Bert had taken her treasure away from her.
Sophie looked behind her without seeing Bert, and a slight disappointment came over her face. "Mom," she said, "why isn't Dad here?"
Norton secretly blames a Bert for Sophie's disappointment, for not even coming home for the first time today! That's too much!
Bane paused, then said, "He's engaged, so he didn't come."
Is there something? After I came back from the island, I left directly. In the meantime, I made a few phone calls to arrange things.
Where he is now, we have no idea.
Sophie, a little disappointed, understood that her father had been absent because of business. A new smile came over her face as she called out, "Mom, we can now live with our brother! We'll take our godmother with us!"
Sophie has a brother and a father, but she hasn't forgotten her godmother.
When Bane heard this sentence, his eyes suddenly felt a little bitter.
Anne walked over to Sophie and touched Sophie's head. She paused, then touched Norton's head again. Then she said, "You can live together, no godmother.
"Sister Norah, you'll come with us..."
Bane couldn't resist saying it anyway.
But Anne said no.
"No, the funds have arrived, I just can help you manage, I will help you outside."
"Sister Norah..."
Bane felt bitter. Anne had helped her so much. She knew Anne wanted so much to live with Sophie, but she refused.
Sad to hear that her mother was not coming, Sophie called out to her, "Gamma, will you stay with us? I don't want to part with you."
Norton also stands up and says, "Gamma! You'll stay with us!"
Anne is a little moved. Norton and Sophie say something that makes her happy, but she still refuses. "No," she says, "if my godmother has time, she'll definitely come to you.
Bane just needed a boost on the outside, and she was the perfect fit.
After they were discharged from the hospital, Sophie and Norton watched their godmother standing there in the car. Her little faces were so sad, especially Sophie's, that tears came straight out of her eyes.
"Mom, let's go find my godmother when we have time, OK?"
Bane, his eyes misted, nodded, "Mmm."
They went straight back to the chateau. Next to Norton's room, Sophie's was pink, spacious but cozy.
At the sight of the room, Sophie's eyes lit up with surprise on her little face.
All girls have a princess dream.
"Mom, is this room mine?"
"Well, would Sophie like it?"
"I love it!
At this point, Norton stood up and said excitedly, "Sophie, brother will show you!"
"Good!
Bane stood in the doorway, watching as Norton took Sophie's little hand and introduced her to the contents of the room.
Watching this, Bane suddenly felt a little daze, but he felt very warm.
Perhaps, for Sophie, this arrangement is for the best.
Living with her would be a real grievance to Sophie. She was a princess of the House of Ron and should live in the castle.
When Sophie moved in, Bane officially took up residence, and he was surprised by the size of the estate.
Bert didn't forget Sophie, either, and hired a world-famous art teacher for her.
After seeing Sophie's painting, the teacher became so excited that she spoke Chinese. She wanted to take Sophie as her student, but she was not the same, so she gave up the idea.
Sophie now has to study not only art, but also some of the subjects that aristocratic ladies do. Norton has been studying since the age of three. Sophie has too much to learn.
Bane frowned at the amount of work Sophie had to do. After all, Sophie wasn't in the best of health and needed more rest, but the expectant look on Sophie's face made him say nothing.
Norton and Sophie were better than she had ever imagined.
Such a gifted child, indeed, should not be treated with ordinary eyes.
Sophie's initial show of contentment, perhaps, was a reassurance to her ineffectual mother.
Bane felt more and more like a failure.
