"Hi love, I hope you are as excited as I am. Today we will be introducing you to your other grandma and grandpa and also to your aunt Dee and uncle Nate. You don't have to be scared alright. I know they will love you as much as we do. So be a good kid today, alright? I will talk to you later. Daddy loves you so much, honey." Alexander whispered to Mel's stomach after which he placed a kiss on it.

Mel pretended to be asleep but she was watching what Alexander was doing. It was so adorable. Alexander was already obsessed with the growing baby in her belly. He never fails to talk to it. At least twice a day; when he wakes up in the morning and before he goes to bed at night.

"Good Morning, my love," Alexander greeted as soon as he noticed Melinda was awake.

"Morning," Melinda smiled and he kissed her forehead.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked and She nodded.

Melinda smiled. "I'm also excited for today."

It's been two days since the two lovebirds came back from Chicago. So they decided that today was going to be the day. The day where they would tell Mel's parents and their best friends about their engagement and the baby.

"What do you want for breakfast?" Alex asked, he wanted to know if she felt like eating something in particular.

"I'm okay with anything," Mel replied.

"Okay then, I will be right back," Alexander gave Mel a quick kiss on her lips before getting up from the bed to go prepare breakfast for his family.

As Alexander left to prepare breakfast. Melinda could not help with the smile that found its way to her face as she kept on wondering how lucky she was to have a fiance like Alexander.

"You're ready?" Alexander asked Melinda as he intertwined his right hand with her left hand. They were standing in front of her parent's mansion.

After pressing the doorbell twice, Rhoda opened the door.

"Melinda, my child. What a pleasant surprise!" Rhoda said as she pulled her in for a hug.

"Hi, Rhoda. It's so nice to see you." Melinda replied with a smile.

"Come on in you guys," Rhoda said as she opened the door wider for Alex and Mel to come in.

"How are you doing, Alexander?" Rhoda asked.

"I'm fine, thanks," Alex replied.

"Where's Mom and Dad?" Melinda asked.

"They are in the study room."

"You both should go check up on them while I supervise the cooking," Rhoda said and was about to excuse herself.

"Wait" Melinda stopped her.

"Is anything the ma......... OMG!" Rhoda squealed as she covered her hands with her mouth which caused Alex and Melinda to giggle.

Melinda had raised her left hand and Rhoda saw the engagement ring on her fourth finger which caused her to go speechless.

"I'm so happy for you both," Rhoda said with tears of joy in her eyes as she pulled both Alexander and Mel in a joint hug.

"You two are just so perfect for each other. God bless you both." Rhoda said while freeing them from the hug.

"Thanks, Rhoda." The lovebirds said.

"I have to get back to the kitchen to get lunch done, I will see you guys later," Rhoda excused herself.

"That was exciting," Melinda said and Alex chuckled.

He placed his hand on her lower back as they both walked towards her parents' study.

"Come in." The other voice said as soon as Mel knocked on the door. Mel recognized the voice to be her Mother's voice.

"Hi Mom, Hi Dad." Mel greeted her parents as soon she entered the study with Alexander behind her.

"Awwww, my princess came to visit," Michelle said as she pulled Mel into a hug and Mel chuckled.

Melinda later pulled away from the hug and went to hug her father who was seated on the chair behind the office desk.

"What a pleasant surprise. You didn't tell us you were coming." Michelle, Mel's mother said.

"Yeah, we actually wanted to surprise you," Melinda said to her parents after which she raised her left hand to show off her ring.

Michelle's eyes went wide before she cooed "It's so beautiful. Congratulations to you both." She said as she gave both Mel and Alex a tight hug.

Raymond, Mel's father stood up from where he was sitting then congratulated his daughter and son-in-law to be.

"Wow, you guys are not as excited as I expected you to be," Melinda said with a pout.

"Trust me, Mel, we are even more excited than you are. We knew this was going to happen."

"You knew?" Mel asked, a little bit shocked.

"Yes, dear. Alexander had come to see us about it. He came to ask us for your hand in marriage. So we knew he was actually going to propose. But we didn't know when exactly. Trust me, we have been excited since then." Raymond answered and Mel nodded her head, trying to digest all that her father just told her.

She then took a look at Alexander who was smiling really hard and she smiled back. She still couldn't believe how lucky she was to have him.

Both Melinda, Alexander, Michelle, and Raymond sat down for a while as they began talking about stuff like one big happy and extended family. Their conversation did not last long as they all had to go to the dining room for lunch.

While in the middle of lunch, Melinda and Alexander kept on staring at each other as if it was the right time to spill the beans. They were acting kind of weird and Michelle noticed.

"Is something wrong? Is there anything the both of you are not telling us?" Michelle said as put down her cutlery. That alone caught Raymond's attention.

"Nothing really mom. We have a surprise for the two of you." Alexander said, addressing Melinda's mom as MOM which put a smile on Michelle's face.

"So what is it?" Michelle asked excitedly.

Melinda smiled as she looked at Alex and Alex smiled back, giving her the go-ahead look.

"Actually mom, we have a gift for you and dad," Melinda passed two wrapped gifts to her parents.

"You know today is not our anniversary and neither is it any of our birthdays?" Michelle recalled as she looked at the wrapped gift in her hands with curiosity.

"Mom, just open it already." Mel playfully groaned.

Both Michelle and Raymond opened the wrapped gifts and they were surprised by what they saw. It was an already designed frame with a sonogram in it and two bottles of her parents favorite wine with the design "grandparents to be"

"Oh My Goodness!" Michelle whispered with tears in her eyes.

"I'm going to be a grandfather," Raymond whispered with tears in his eyes.

"Congratulations." Raymond and Michelle said as they stood up to hug the soon to be parents

"No wonder you are glowing wonderfully. How could I not have noticed?" Michelle said as she caressed her daughter's cheek which caused everyone to chuckle.

"How far are you?" Michelle asked as she took her daughter's hand and ushered her to the living room downstairs. While they left Raymond and Alexander at the dining table.

"Almost nine weeks," Mel replied with a smile.

"Am so happy for you dear. My baby girl is going to become a mom in a few months." Michelle said proudly and Melinda chuckled.

"Try to avoid stress alright and make sure you eat well. This is your first pregnancy and there's a possibility it might take a toll on you. If you notice anything strange make sure you inform Regina or you can talk to Alex about it and me too. Everything will be fine honey, we are all in this together." Michelle said with her hands intertwined with her daughter's own.

"Thanks, mom. I love you." Melinda pulled her mom in a hug.

"I love you too sweetheart," Michelle replied as she kissed her daughter's forehead.

No words could describe how happy this news made Melinda's parents. Raymond and Michelle tried to have another baby after Melinda but all effort proved abortive. Now, the thought of them having a grandchild made them so happy.

"So whose place should we go first? Dee or Nate?'' Alexander asked Melinda.

"I'm not quite sure. let me call Dee to know if she's at home." Mel said and Alex nodded.

Alex and Mel just left her parents' house. They really had a nice time. Michelle also gave Mel some pregnancy books to read. Words couldn't even describe how happy Melinda's parents were. They were so overwhelmed.

Now Mel and Alex were in the car deciding whose house to go to next. Nate or Dee?

"Hi, girlfriend," Desourire said from the other side.

"Hey, how are you?" Mel asked.

"I'm good, you? How's Alex." Dee asked.

"Fine, fine," Mel said in a sing-song voice.

"Are you home?" Mel asked.

"Hmmm no. I'm at Nate's place." Dee said.

"Oh perfect," Mel said with a sigh of relief.

"Don't go anywhere, Alex and I are coming over," Mel said.

"Alright, we will be expecting you guys," Dee said.

"See you soon. bye." Mel said and ended the call.

"It will be perfect to surprise them together," Alex said. He heard Dee and Mel's conversation because the phone was on speaker.

"Yeah, it will." Melinda chuckled.

Nate and Desourire were in Nate's living room arguing about something before they got interrupted by the sound of the doorbell.

"That must be Mel and Alex," Dee said as she stood up from the couch to open the door.

Dee opened the door revealing a smiling Alexander and Melinda. Melinda raised her left hand and she showed off her very beautiful engagement ring.

"Is that.....Oh my Goodness. Nathaniel come see." Dee screamed which caused Alex and Mel to chuckle.

"This is so beautiful," Dee said as she admired the ring on Mel's finger.

"Congratulations guys I'm so happy for you both. You guys really deserve each other." Dee said as she hugged them one after the other.

"Okay, what did I miss?"Nate asked curiously as he saw Dee hugging Mel and Alex.

"I'm engaged," Mel said with a smile as she showed Nate her ring.

"Wow!!!!" Nate said with smiles all over his face. "I'm so happy for you guys," He both engulfed Alex and Mel in a hug.

"Come on in. you have to tell me every detail. When he proposed, where he proposed, how he proposed, what he said, how you felt when he proposed. You are going to tell me everything without leaving a single detail out." Dee said with a very bossy tone as she ushered Melinda into the living room.

"Not yet. We still have one more surprise for you guys." Mel said as she winked at Alex while Dee and Nate just looked at each other confused.

"Yes, we do have another surprise for you guys," Alexander walked towards Melinda and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"We are pregnant." They both chorused.

"Oh my God, I knew it, "Dee screamed happily.

"Darn, I'm going to be the best uncle in the whole world," Nate said with a very wide smile.

Desourire dropped down to her knee and talked to Melinda's belly. "Hey, there cutie. I know you can hear me. I'm your Aunty Dee. I love you already and I can't wait to meet you. It doesn't matter whether you are a girl or a boy. Just get ready to have fun the moment you are born because I'm going to spoil you rotten." Dee said which earned a chuckle from everyone.

Desourire and Nate congratulated Melinda and Alexander. They couldn't be happier for them. Not quite long after their announcement, Tracy joined them too. Mel told her she was engaged and expecting and Tracy cried. It was all tears of joy. Melinda was someone Tracy looked up to as an elder sister and a role model and Tracy couldn't be happier for Melinda that she was finally getting all the love and happiness that she deserved.

"Today was indeed a memorable day for me," Alex said as he pulled Melinda closer to his chest.

They came back from Nate's house some minutes ago. So now they were on the bed, in Mel's apartment, getting ready to sleep.

"Yeah, me too. I can't even count how many hugs I received today." Mel said as she and Alex chuckled. That was very true. They had both received tons of hugs and so many congratulations.

"Thank you for bringing happiness into my life, Melinda," Alex said as he looked at her with so much adoration in his eyes.

"Thank you for being the best thing that has ever happened to me," Mel replied with a smile.

"I love you, Alexander," Melinda said.

"I love you too my Queen," Alexander kissed her after which he proceeded to kiss her belly. "And you too, my little Angel." He Whispered after which they both fell asleep.

In life, Melinda Davis had made so many decisions, some of which she regretted terribly, some which she learned a lot of lessons from, and some that made her a stronger woman and a better person. Of course, she would forever bless the day she decided to give Alexander a chance. Frank could no longer come near her because she had filed a restraining order against him. Who would have thought falling in love with her Driver would make Melinda Davis happy and complete?.
