It hurts for me to realize how Rozzean changed because of what I did as Tali. Back then, I only thought of myself, and I hurt him so much with my decision to leave without telling him the truth.

I was scared, but I didn't realize that he would be even more frightened by what I was planning to do. I thought he would just be angry with me. But now, as the anger has subsided, what remains is the fear that I might leave him again.

Now, I looked at him while he was on a call with his cellphone. I overheard that it was work-related. After our meal earlier, we went straight to his room, and he immediately opened his laptop. He became busy, while I sat on the side and used my cellphone.

I was chatting with Thes. She planned to come over tomorrow to discuss what happened.

I glanced at Rozzean and my cellphone alternately. When he finished, he returned to the sofa and faced his laptop. I sat beside him and leaned on his arm.

"Is there a problem?"

I liked his scent. I wanted him always by my side because of his smell. I also felt that my sense of smell had become stronger.

"Nothing, baby, I just need to go to work early tomorrow because I have a meeting with the board members."

He looked at me and kissed my forehead. He also held my hand that was gripping his arm.

"Thes said that she will come here tomorrow, Rozzean. We'll have a chat. She wants to know what happened. I'll also tell her about the upcoming wedding. It won't be nice to inform her through a call."

He smiled at me and nodded.

"It's good that she's coming so you'll have someone to talk to, to distract you a bit."

I chuckled at his response. I wouldn't get bored here in his house because I could spend my time cleaning and taking care of his garden. He had neglected it, and many leaves had dried up, and the flowers had withered. What a waste.

"I have something to occupy myself with—your garden. There are so many damaged flowers... you haven't been taking care of it," I teased him.

His garden held significance for him as it was a memory of his late sibling. And the reason he neglected it might be because of me, because of what happened between us.

"I am sorry, baby. I didn't notice it because when I used to come home, it was already night. But you are here now," he said and kissed me on my forehead again, "I know you will take care of it."

I didn't leave Rozzean's side. I just watched him as he worked on his laptop. While looking, my eyes caught the CCTV footage of his house. It was connected to his laptop. Suddenly, memories of what happened when I left flashed through my mind.

"Let's sleep?"

Rozzean stood up, and I followed suit. I glanced at the clock on the side. It was already ten, and he still had to go to work early tomorrow. But I wasn't sleepy yet. When I felt Rozzean's hand on my waist, I looked at him.

"I still can't believe that you are here with me..."

He lowered his head and rested it on my shoulder.

"I hope that when I wake up tomorrow, you'll still be by my side."

I caressed his back, making him look at me. I smiled at him and held his cheeks. I just needed to constantly remind him that I would never leave. Until he felt secure that I wouldn't abandon him.

"Yes, of course..."

We went to his bedroom. We lay down. Rozzean held me tightly as I ran my fingers through his hair. I bent down and smelled his hair. It was fragrant. I bent down again and took another whiff.

"Baby..."

My eyebrows raised when he called me.

"Hmm?"

He looked up at me, smiling. After a while, he reached for my lips and kissed me passionately.

"Thank you, I am so happy..."

I ran my hands from his forehead down to his cheeks until they reached his lips. I traced the corner of his lips.

"I am happy too, Rozzean," I kissed his lips and even his forehead. He closed his eyes in response.

"Sleep now. I'll wake you up tomorrow so you won't be late for work."

He nodded, and then his hug tightened.

"Okay, good night, baby. I love you."

"I love you too..." I replied to him and kissed the top of his head.

After a while, I felt that Rozzean was in a deep sleep. I got up slowly. I also gently removed his hand from my waist. I left his bedroom and focused my attention on the laptop he left on the table earlier.

I sat on the sofa and opened it. He had told me his password earlier. Surprisingly, it was my name.

When I opened the laptop, I accessed the CCTV footage from the past weeks. The first thing I watched was the night I left his house. Then I fast-forwarded to see him waking up and leaving his room. He kept pacing while looking at his cellphone.

His face showed deep concern. As I watched, I didn't realize that tears were already streaming down my face. He didn't even sleep! I also didn't see him eat. He would leave and talk to Manang, then return. The police even arrived.

I covered my mouth to suppress any noise from my crying. I hurt him so badly...

When I reached the video where I confronted him as Thaliana, I didn't expect that there was also CCTV in the guest room where he stayed. I saw how he threw everything in anger. He was extremely furious.

From the movement of his mouth, he kept saying I love you. My chest tightened as I watched. After that, Manang entered Rozzean's room several times. She brought food but left with a sad face.

It was also the night I went to try to seek his forgiveness. I cooked food for him, but he rejected it and spilled it on the floor. I fast-forwarded that part and, when Luther and I left, I saw him talking to Manang.

What I saw next was unbearable. A sob escaped my lips even though I tried to hold it in.

Rozzean picked up the food that had been spilled on the floor and ate it. He ate everything. I couldn't finish watching the video, so I paused for a moment. I had to calm myself from crying. When I fast-forwarded the video, I was halted when I saw Klari.

She was holding a paper bag. They talked to Manang before she left the house. She went to the kitchen, put down the paper bag, and then headed to Rozzean's room. When I glanced at another video, I saw Rozzean sleeping.

My hands clenched when Klari entered the room. When I saw her sitting on the edge of the bed, I bit my lower lip hard. I felt anger rise when her hand moved and caressed Rozzean's face as he peacefully slept.

What she did next intensified my anger.

She leaned down and kissed Rozzean on the lips.

"Damn."

I forcefully closed the laptop and stood up. I paced back and forth while folding my arms. I couldn't stay still. My chest heaved as I felt the anger intensify. She f*cking kissed my fiancé while he was sleeping! What the hell!

"You have the nerve, Klari."

"You are so desperate."

I calmed myself down. I needed to compose myself and go back inside. Rozzean might wake up and start looking for me again. I took a deep breath, and once I assured myself that I was okay, I went back inside the bedroom.

"Baby..."

When I heard his voice, I touched Rozzean's arm. He turned towards me and hugged me again. He buried his face in my neck, and I felt his heavy breathing.

But I was still annoyed.

So that's why I wanted to watch the footage in his house. I might see something.

"F*ck you, Klari. You won't get Rozzean from me. He's mine."

The next morning, I woke up to kisses trailing down my neck to my chest. I struggled to open my eyes. I stretched my hands when I realized what Rozzean was doing.

"Hmm... what time is it?"

He didn't respond. I looked down at him and only then did I realize that the buttons of my pajamas were already undone.

"Rozzean... I'm still sleepy..."

What time did I even go to bed last night after watching the CCTV footage in his house? And here he was, all lively and active. I could feel it. Too early for this.

"It's nice to do it in the morning, baby..."

I shifted to the side and sprawled out to avoid him because I was really sleepy, but I was surprised when he smacked my butt.

"Rozzean!" My eyes widened, struggling to fully wake up.

He responded with a hearty laugh. I thought he was going to explain, but instead, his hand landed on my backside. I sat up and pinched him on the side.

"I'll go now, take care, okay?"

When Rozzean left, I went inside the house and had breakfast with Manang. We talked about what happened, and I told her that the wedding might happen next month. Manang was so happy that she even cried while I was sharing the story. Since I'm also easily moved, we both ended up shedding tears.

"Oh! By the way, Thaliana dear, I'll bring breakfast to the guards, just a moment, okay?"

I quickly stood up when I heard what Manang said.

"I'll take care of that, Manang. I'll also help you clean the house while waiting for my friend."

She smiled at me and nodded. Manang prepared the guards' food, and once it was on the tray, I headed outside. They were surprised to see me.

While the four of us were talking, my gaze landed on Klari's house. My eyes widened. I couldn't forget what she did while Rozzean was asleep.

"That neighbor of Rozzean, Klari, has the orange farm, right? Has she shown up?" I asked.

One of the guards looked at the witch's house.

"Oh, that house is for sale, Ma'am Thaliana. Just last week, the owner started living there because it's easier to talk to potential buyers when they're around."

My lips formed a circle in surprise at what I heard.
