120 - The chapter where the girls get ready together

Yes, it was still winter, but Wayne had told us that he had set everything up so that we could enjoy the heated pools at a tropical-themed party, and all the most popular and influential people from the college would be there. And as much as we couldn't stand the presence of some of those people, we weren't going to be left off that list.

" Are you girls really going to wear bikinis? " Cam blinked dazedly as we walked up the stairs.

" Of course, what else do we wear? It's a pool party! " I frowned.

" No, it's just that I always wear swimsuits " the girl explained " I don't even own a bikini.”

" Ohhh, that's the problem? You can go in a swimsuit, there's no problem " I tried to reassure her.

" Do you think anyone else will wear a swimsuit? " She asked.

I thought for a second, surely there would be someone with a swimsuit there, she shouldn't worry about that.

" Of course! " I smiled in response.

" Are you going to wear one? " She asked hopefully when we were already entering my room.

I thought for a second about that possibility, I had a few swimsuit options, but none were on my list of preferences for that party.

" I'm sorry, but I've already picked out a perfect bikini, check it out." I walked over to our bed, lifting up a small light pink one-piece with delicate white flowers.

Camille's eyes widened when she saw what I had chosen to wear to the party. I had bought that bikini for that exact occasion, and I knew it would look perfect on me! Sky walked over to the bed and picked up the bikini top, smiling in approval.

" It's going to look great on you," she assured me.

" And I'm finally going to wear the Christmas present Alex gave me. Look at that," I took the delicate gold body necklace, showing it to the girls.

"Great, now you make me feel awful in the best bikini I have," Sky grumbled, putting the backpack she was carrying with the clothes she was going to wear to bed "I brought makeup, but I didn't even think to accessorize!

I went to my closet, grabbing the pants, tight blouse and a short furry coat I had set aside to wear that night, then returned to the room.

" It's a party, we have to get ready! " I assured, surprised to see Cam sitting on the edge of the bed looking dejected.

" We'd better shower at once,” Cam forced a smile, causing Sky and I to exchange a quick confused glance.

Nevertheless, we did as she suggested, and a few minutes later, we were back in the bedroom, wearing only our bathrobes while we took care of our hair and makeup.

" Sky, seriously, you have to wear that pair of earrings, they're in the drawer " I told you.

"Ahhh my God, look what I found " Sky laughed as she opened the desk drawer, finding my sculpture " Can I take it?".

" Carefully, it's still drying," I replied, smiling.

She lifted the small male body sculpted in clay, turning it carefully in her hands to see all the details while Cam joined her.

"Oh my goodness!”

" It looks great, doesn't it? " I teased them " and I don't understand what all the drama is about Chris, he has nothing to hide!”

I got rid of the robe, putting on the bikini before starting to take care of my makeup while the two of them continued to observe the sculpture.

"If you've really been faithful, he really hasn't,” Sky quipped.

" 'I know,” I winked at her.

" 'You even got his tattoo, I thought no one was supposed to find out,” Cam pointed out.

" 'It's not like the girls in my class have seen him shirtless before,” I shrugged.

" Deep down, you know they'll find out." Sky put the sculpture back in the drawer, turning to me with an analytical expression.

"Maybe at some point, but it won't be now," I shrugged, returning my focus to the mirror.

We tidied up in silence for a few more minutes, I could feel Camille's uncomfortable gaze on us the whole time, but I couldn't quite understand what was wrong with her.

" 'That's it, I'm going to change my bikini, there's no way I can wear that with you all dressed up like that " Sky complained as she helped me put on the body necklace.

The jewelry was composed of a choker that went straight down my lap, with small crystals and golden shells before splitting into two thin chains on each side that went around the bottom of my breasts and ribs perfectly.

"You're exaggerating, and here are the earrings I told you about," I offered her two rings.

"Rose, I'm not the type to wear rings." She returned, despite taking the earrings from my hand.

" Cam, is there a problem? " I asked, surprised by the absolute silence of the girl who was still dressed in her robe, while Sky was wearing her copper-colored bikini that stood out well on her skin.

" 'I think I'd better not go to this party,' she sighed, crestfallen.

Skyller and I stared at each other in amazement before walking over to the girl, trying to understand why she was so insecure.

" Why not? It's your first official party and you'll be next to Theo!" I pointed.

" 'Besides, everyone already knows you're together, you're just making it official today, you have nothing to worry about,' Sky endorsed.

" 'First of all, I didn't expect to spend the night out at my first party, secondly, I don't have any clothes to go with!

I sighed as I understood the reason for that little crisis. 'It's okay, that will be easy to solve!

" Cam, is all this because of the swimsuit? No one will notice, you can wear it calmly " Sky reassured her.

" And as for the party, you'll be with Theo, you can ask him to bring you home whenever you want " I added.

But it didn't do much good, and soon we found out why.

" You guys are overproduced and all I have is this! I'm going to be the laughing stock once again! " Cam reached into his bag, pulling out the garment.

I took the black swimsuit from his hand, stretching it on the bed, finally understanding his motives. It looked like the uniform of my old high school's swim team. She definitely couldn't go dressed like that.

" 'Don't you have any other models? " Sky pondered.

" 'I have another one just like it, but in red,' she replied shyly.

"First of all, red would stand out well on your skin, so next time, go for red," I warned before turning to Sky, "That suitcase of yours is still here, right?".

" What suitcase? " Cam frowned as Skyller went to the closet, to get what we needed.

" 'The bag where she keeps her underwear away from Liam,' I explained. 'I could lend you one, but I don't think it'll fit that well.”

Camille stared at us blankly, not knowing how to respond as Sky brought a wheeled suitcase I kept in a corner of the closet to my friend.

" Why? " The poor girl asked dumbfounded.

" 'Because in our first week sharing a closet, he decided to customize a gym top of mine because he considered it too closed, so I decided to rescue all my underwear before my panties started showing up with additional openings " Skyller explained, placing the suitcase on the bed " This includes the bathing suits”

Skyller opened the compartment reserved for her bathing suits, and the two of us started going through them piece by piece in search of the perfect one for Camille.

" Do you really want a swimsuit? Because I don't have that many models, you know, I'm not Rose.

" Hey!”

" Rose, come on. I don't know how Christian finds room to store his clothes in here! " Sky stared at me.

For a moment, I thought about disagreeing with her, but I couldn't deny it.

" 'Come on, what do you think of this one? " I held up a flowery red one.

" 'So everyone can compare me to you? " She complained.

" 'She has a good point,' Sky agreed with the girl, making me roll my eyes.

That was ridiculous, it's not because I decided to dress up for a party that they should be so insecure. They never bothered with that before. Okay, this is our first pool party, but still!

" And this " Sky showed a yellow striped option.

"It's going to look awful on her skin tone,' I denied.

"She has the same skin tone as mine, Rose," Sky looked at me with both eyebrows raised.

"Take it any way you want," I hummed.
