121 - The chapter where they exchange confidences

I found the bikini Liam had given Skyller as a present and held it up, taking pleasure in watching my friend's face turn red.

" Why am I not surprised? " I laughed.

" He might dream that I'll wear this in public at some point, but it's not going to happen.' She snatched it out of my hand, pocketing it and putting it in the bottom of her bag.

" That was the smallest thing I've ever seen,' Cam laughed.

" What about this one? " I offered a vintage high waist option with a navy blue top with white polka dots and a blue bottom with white stripes on the waistband and delicate red contour lines highlighting the piece " If you get a hat, Theo will die when he sees you!”

" Oh my God, Rose! " Cam blushed.

" I agree with her on that one! You're going to be perfect! " Sky endorsed the chorus.

" And despite what you've said, I doubt you've never been curious to see what he looks like," I teased her and for a second, I thought the girl might faint right there.

" I've seen it by accident once, it's not bad at all," Sky confided.

" What? " Cam's eyes widened.

" Tell me more about that " I stared at her.

" When we were in high school we went to the winter dance on a double date. He was with my cousin and I was with a friend of his. Our parents are neighbors, I went to his house to see if he was ready and when I entered the room, he was not... not ready at all " she laughed.

" 'I'd be embarrassed to death,” Cam hid a small smile.

" I bet you'll love it when you see it," I winked at her.

Cam grabbed the bikini from my hand, practically running to the bathroom, making Sky and I look at each other before he started laughing.

" She doesn't exist! She can be more of a prude than you!”

" Rose, I'm dating Liam, how prude do you think I am? " Sky returned, getting up and going to the mirror, starting to put the finishing touches on her makeup, leaving me behind, stunned by her answer.

I stood up, following her immediately. If she thinks she can say something like that and just walk away, she is very wrong!

" Come back here, I want details! “

" Details? " She laughed " I never asked you for details.”

" I don't mind giving you details if you give them back." I teased her.

Cam came out of the bathroom afterwards, looking a bit insecure with her appearance, distracting us for a second. The bikini had looked great on her body, standing out well on her fair skin. We just need to fix her hair to get it out of the way of her face and she would look perfect!

" What did you think? " She asked shyly.

" It looks perfect on you! " Sky assured her.

" Are you sure?”

I took her by the hand, guiding her to the free chair, getting ready to start working on her hair. Theo would have a nice surprise today.

" You can keep that bikini for yourself, because it looks great, really,' Sky completed her compliment, receiving a discreet smile in response.

We just concentrated on getting Camille ready for a few minutes in silence, until she decided to bring it up.

" What were you guys talking about?”

" What do you mean?”

" 'When I came out of the bathroom, you were telling Sky that you didn't mind answering any questions,' she explained.

" That? We were making a deal, right Sky? " I teased my friend.

Sky just smiled, combing Camille's hair while I looked for a red fabric tiara that I was sure would look great with that bikini.

" What deal? " She wanted to know.

" You don't want any part of this, Cam,' Sky advised.

" Come on, you can't exclude me,' she returned with a pout.

We both exchanged an amused glance before I shrugged, deciding to include her in the conversation.

" All right then. Tell me, Sky, is Liam everything he promises? " I teased my friend.

" No “ she said back with an amused expression.

" NO? " Camille widened her eyes.

" He's more than he promises! " She returned, making me laugh " I'm serious, after the first time, I was wondering how I could waste so much time away from him!”

After making sure Cam's tattoo was clearly visible, I walked away, focusing back on my own clothes, picking up the pants I would wear until I got to the hotel.

" I don't know how you wasted so much time either,” I teased her.

" Wasn't it weird having sex with him? I mean, you've known each other for so long, and suddenly..." Cam asked, getting up from the chair he'd been in for the last few minutes as Sky started to put on the rest of his clothes as well.

Sky seemed to consider that possibility for a second before shrugging.

" No, I think what I was most afraid of was the first kiss, but once it happened, the rest... Well, it was a consequence.”

" Consequence? " Cam frowned.

" I bet after the first kiss, you couldn't stop,” I teased her.

Sky just smiled, showing how right I had been in my deduction.

" Was it like that with you and Chris too? " Cam asked.

" Not exactly,” I said thoughtfully.

" You never told me how it started between you," Sky commented.

I sighed, remembering our first kiss so many months ago and everything that had happened since.

" When did you start? " Cam wanted to know.

" At the beginning of October, that's when the Cutter thing happened... After they took me away from the party, Chris started fighting with me and Theo had asked him to put me to bed, and...'.

" Oh my God, he took the task of putting you to bed seriously? " Sky's eyes widened.

" Unfortunately not! I tried, when he left me in the room, he went to say goodbye and I kissed him, and... At first he responded and I could have sworn I was going to have the best night of my life, but... He remembered I wasn't sober and dismissed me " I pouted.

" And how does the motorcycle story fit into that? " Cam frowned. 'If he rejected you, wasn't it strange to meet him again?”

A small smile appeared on my lips as I remembered the details of that day. I definitely couldn't wait for the weather to improve so I could enjoy a bit more of everything the Harley had to offer!

" The next day he decided to distract me from all the attention on campus and at lunchtime he took me to one of his favorite places to teach me how to ride the Harley. At first I thought he wanted nothing to do with me and I was embarrassed and didn't know how to act, but then I realized that wasn't the case.”

" How did you realize? " Cam asked while Sky just watched us, already putting on his shoes.

" Well, I could feel his body reacting every time he came near me and he even tried to disguise it, but it's not that simple a task," I hinted, starting to put on the boots I had separated after getting fully dressed.

" None of them can cover it up," Sky quipped, and she was right. We'd been to enough parties with the boys to witness all sorts of situations!

" And you... “

" I was on the back of the bike, so I just put my hand down and got rid of that indecision." I shrugged. "And don't look at me with that surprised face, Camille, it was a normal reaction, I just showed that I was interested."

" In a very direct way! " She stammered.

" 'We have to go, but I can teach you a bit about it later', I winked at her before walking to the door, 'Maybe you can put it into practice after the party.”
