13. The chapter of Theo's project
Rose
In the early evening we gathered in my room, spreading out all the pieces of Theo's model on the floor as we worked. I was lying face down on the floor, working on a miniature painting while Theo cut the balsa wood moldings for the furniture and Skyller painted some pieces and laid them out to dry on a piece of cardboard on the floor.
Liam had been in charge of picking up the pizza for Dinner and was taking longer than we expected.
" Does Davis know your room? " Sky asked.
" Ahhh if he doesn't know, he'll love to find out today " Theo teased me.
" Very funny, Peterson. Why don't you concentrate on your project?”
" You said yourself that he was after Alicia to get laid, why not with you? " Sky teased me.
I shot her an amused look before turning my attention back to my miniature painting.
" If you look at it that way, then you're more his type. Thin, delicate," I sneered, "besides, the guy who picked out my ribs to get a tattoo just so I could feel pain doesn't deserve to get laid with me.”
" You know, this love-hate relationship between the two of you can be a frustrated sexual tension. You should work on that," Theo warned.
" I didn't know you had decided to become a psychologist, Peterson.”
I put the painting aside, getting on all fours to reach for another piece to start painting when the door behind me opened and by the amused expression on Theo's face, I could imagine who was there.
" Now that is an interesting sight, my little Walter Gropius," Liam's voice caused me to look back over my shoulder to find him and Christian holding two pizza boxes, standing by the door.
" She doesn't even study architecture to get that nickname, Liam," Sky joked.
" Hey, thanks to Peterson, tonight we're all going to be honorary members of the Bauhaus," he returned with amusement, closing the door behind him.
I grabbed a small sideboard and lay back down on my stomach, still feeling both of their gazes on me.
" Did you come to help with the project or to stare at Rose's ass? " Sky asked nonchalantly.
" The second option, definitely the second option," Liam didn't even think before answering, making me laugh.
He put the pizza boxes on top of my desk, while Christian sat next to me, watching everything that had to be done.
" Davis, two things, I hope you can handle paint, and are you here because you want to have sex with Rose? " Theo asked bluntly, making me choke.
I sat up in one quick motion, feeling like I could choke my friend right now for being so indiscreet.
" Okay, I'm confused. What kind of project do they pass on to you in this course? " Christian frowned.
" Theo, you are ridiculous.”
I threw a dirty paintbrush in his direction, and he dodged it with ease, still laughing.
" This is a valid question," Liam picked up a piece of anchovy pizza and sat down on the floor, "what do you intend to join our group, Davis?”
" He certainly doesn't intend to have sex with me," I muttered.
Christian gave me an amused look, seeming to find my reaction amusing. Not offended by our friends' indiscretion.
" So, Davis. What do you want? " Liam insisted.
" To go to parties, meet girls, and have someone to help me when I leave a project to the last minute.” He shrugged his shoulders and began to brush the white base on an MDF wall.
" Isn't leaving projects to the last minute an option? " Sky rolled her eyes.
" No," we all replied together, causing her to snort.
Liam looked thoughtful for a few seconds before he cracked a satisfied smile.
" Okay, I have the perfect party for us to go to this weekend.”
