Chapter 20
Kendra POV
I run upstairs. I will not be beaten by Thomas anymore. I can hear the growls and fight below me. I run into my old room. The horror in the room makes me sick to my stomach. I need to release the women Tobias is holding prisoner.
I open the door. It makes me sick what Tobias is doing, and these wolves need to pay. I run to my old bed. I undo the lock to release the woman.
“Daddy will be very upset,” she says.
“Fuck him, we are getting out of here,” I say to her.
The other woman lies on the floor, blindfolded and tied. How in the hell could he do this? I thought Tobias was a good wolf. Of course, he is not a good wolf; the bastard kidnapped me.
I untie the woman, remove her blindfold. “He will be angry,” she says.
“I do not care,” I respond.
The fighting below stops. I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. The two women cower behind me. How in the hell will I get the three of us out of here. The door opens. It is Tobias. The two women lay down on the ground. They are terrified of him.
“What did you do to them?” I ask Tobias.
He hangs his head. I run at him, hitting him. “I hate you,” I scream at him.
He grabs me, pulling me into his arms. “I did not hurt them, I promise,” Tobias says.
“It looks like from where I am standing,” I say.
“I did kidnap both of them. I brought both of the women here, but I never had sex with either of them. I only needed someone to be here,” Tobias says.
“Take the both of them back home where they belong,” I demand.
“I will take both of them back,” Tobias says.
“You cannot do this to people. You cannot kidnap someone, drug them and expect them to love you,” I say.
“I thought if they were here, then Alpha would stay off of you,” Tobias says.
“You left me alone, thinking I was pregnant. I was kidnapped again, and do you want to know all of the things Thomas did to me? Do you want to know all of the hell he put me through, how he beat me?” I ask Tobias.
“No, I am sorry,” Tobias says.
“Sorry, it is not good enough. Now, help me get them cleaned up so they can go back home where they belong,” I demand.
“We have to hurry. Alpha will be coming looking for Thomas,” Tobias says.
I stop what I am doing. “Where is Thomas?” I ask him.
“I killed him,” Tobias says.
I drop to the floor crying. I am happy the little bastard is dead.
“Do they have clothes?” I ask Tobias.
“Yes,” he answers me.
“Get their clothes; we have got to get out of here,” I say.
The two women on the floor look defeated entirely. I go to the woman I pulled out of my old bed. “What is your name?” I ask her.
“Stephie,” she says.
“Okay, Stephie, I need you to dress quickly when he bring you clothes okay,” I say to her.
“Yes, ma’am,” She says.
“My name is Kendra. What about you? What is your name?” I ask the other woman.
“Tete,” she says.
“Okay, I need you to get dressed,” I say.
Tobias comes back with clothes for both of them. I cannot even look at him. I knew he had a dark side, but this is ridiculous. “You have anyone else tied up here?” I ask him.
“NO, Kendra, I do not,” Tobias answers me.
The women dress quickly. I lead the two of them out of the bedroom past Tobias. We are leaving here.
“Tobias, get your shit, and let's go,” I scream at him.
He grabs his keys and follows us to the garage. We go out the side door into the garage. Tobias unlocks the car. “Get in,” I say to the women.
The two get in the backseat. Tobias comes around to get in the car with us. I get in the front. “Drive them home, then me,” I say to him.
“Do you think we can drive out of here without any problems,” Tobias asks.
“I said start driving,” I tell him firmly.
Tobias cranks the car, opens the garage, and begins to back out. “He is here,” Tobias says.
I look behind us. Alpha is pulling up. “Just drive, you idiot!” I scream at him.
“You will never be safe, Kendra,” Tobias says.
Tobias puts the car in park. “I do love you, and I want you to know that,” Tobias says. He gets out of the vehicle. I crawl over to the driver's seat.
“Use the GPS to get out of here. Never come back. There is cash and a credit card in the glove box. Go somewhere and start over,” Tobias says. He leans down to kiss me.
“Daddy loves you,” Tobias says.
“I love you,” I say.
Tobias slams the door. He goes to confront Alpha as I continue to back out of the garage. I put the car in drive. Alpha tries to stand in between me and the road. Tobias pushes him out of the way. I punch the gas. The women and I are headed as far from here as possible.
“I need one of you to crawl up in the front with me,” I say.
“I will help you,” Stephie says.
She climbs into the front seat. “Set the GPS for wherever you want me to take you,” I say to her.
She hits buttons on the dash until she figures out how to set it. We have a six-hour drive. “What about you?” I ask Tete.
“I don’t have anywhere to go,” Tete says.
“Okay, we will figure something out for you,” I say to her.
We make it out of the wolf community without any problems. I assume they are all tied up with Tobias. I know they will kill him for what happened. They all need to pay. I do not know who to ask for help. There has to be someone willing to stop them.
“I can stay with her; I do not have to go back home. I hate it there anyway,” Stephie says.
“How long has Tobias had you two,” I ask?
“Daddy, I got me a month ago, and Tete about a week ago,” Stephie answers me.
“A month ago, right after he took me back home, I think. I am not sure how long it has been. I was kidnapped a second time by the Alpha’s brother,” I say.
“He never touched us, but Alpha did,” Stephie says.
“Tobias, let Alpha have you,” I ask.
“No, he would come over when daddy was gone to play with us,” Stephie says.
“I am sorry that happened to you,” I say.
“Daddy told us all about you,” Tete says.
“Let’s not talk about daddy anymore. Why don’t we get as far down the road as possible? We can find a place to rest for the night,” I say.
I don’t want to talk about Tobias or those wolves. I only want to put distance between us. I need to get these women somewhere safe.
I drive until I am exhausted. We cross a bridge as the sunsets. I see small cabins resting on the water. We can stop here. I pull off the highway. Both women are still sleeping soundly; I leave them in the car while I get us a cabin for a few days.
I go into the main cabin. A handsome young man comes to the desk to help me. “Can I help you?” he asks me.
I look at the name on his shirt, Bradley.”Bradley, I need a cabin for two friends and me,” I say to him.
“I will put you in this first one,” he says.
“Thanks, Can I pay cash?” I ask.
“Are you in trouble, miss?” Bradley asks.
I start crying. I know he was not serious, but I am in trouble, big trouble.
“Why do you ask that?” I ask.
“You have the wolf collar marks on your neck, and you are paying cash,” Bradley says.
“There are three of us; we are running from the wolves,” I say.
He will either help me, or he will call the wolves.
“Hold on a minute,” he says.
He leaves the front desk. When he returns from the back, he has a stunning woman accompanying him.
“This is my mother, Alissa; she can help you,” Bradley says.
“Give them the key to the cabin, Bradley,” she says to her son.
“I do not want any trouble,” I say.
“Oh, honey, I know exactly where you have been. Go settle in. I will come to you with dinner when I finish cooking. We can talk,” Alissa says.
Bradley hands me the key to the cabin. “Thank you both,” I say to them.
I go back to the car to collect Tete and Stephie. I wake them. “Come on; we can freshen up and get dinner in a bit,” I say.
The two get out of the car. We go into cabin number one. Please don’t let this be a trap. I will die if I ever have to go back to those wolves.
