Togetherness
As I request the people to let me and my newly engaged Ravine to spend some time together, the guests comply with the best of wishes. I really hope they don't get the wrong idea. She's on her periods and I can't do anything more than touch her skin, that's all.
As I see the clouds above our heads, she smiles at me and requests I sit beside her in the pool. I swim across and obey, positioning myself between her warm thighs.
"What do you wanna talk about?" I ask in a soft voice.
"Firstly... I want to apologise for getting you through that shit. I know it's been hard for you, to doubt me and all. I'm sorry?" She holds my wet face and apologises.
"Babe... you gave me the biggest reality checks of my life." I respond. She was confused by my words as I kiss her delicate hands which held my face.
"Love, you showed me that I could trust you no matter what and I was overwhelmed so much that I refused to believe you were cheating on me. When I was finding faults within me... I noticed that you never liked my violent personality. I wanted to give up on that life for you. And... I'm considering to." I say. She looks at me with expressionless face. She was thinking of something, to speak the right words to me which won't be one sided.
"Baby boy... I never said that." She says.
What a liar. She even tried to escape from that life when she was in danger, adamant that I stop being a bad guy and hurt people. I know I've grown into a heartless man in these two years, even going so far to hurt, torture and unalive my own family members.
"You threw a fit and cried in anger when we talked about it. You definitely hated me then, Ravine. Don't lie to me." I say and kiss her thighs to which she sighs heavily.
"Oh god, Aaron... you're kidding me right? I know you did that to protect—" her words are cut off when I kiss her. As we part, I stare into her eyes. She exhales sharply before saying,
"I'm sorry. For lying." I chuckle at her honesty, "It's alright, love. Well uh... when can I stretch you again?"
To my genuine question, I receive a slap on my arm as I laugh.
****
"Get yourself ready for some rumbling!!"
"No!!" I laugh devilishly as I kill her character with my ultimate move. We were back to playing video games while sitting on the floor than on the couch, again.
Sundays are so boring!
"Hey, Ravine. Wanna go to a cruise date with me?" I ask her out. I don't even know where I got the wild idea from.
"Whoa, that came out of the blue. I mean, yeah! Let's go!" My hypeman hypes as she agrees. I hug her tightly, an odd feeling settling within me.
We book an expensive cruise date and board it by afternoon. The captain and the other crew greet us as we join the other couples in the yacht. And yes, it was splendid to see.
Ravine was wearing a light colored cute skirt, confident that she won't stain herself and I wear Hawaiian shorts and a white shirt.
"To Copmare Island!!" (Yes I created it and it's a fictional Island and yes I mixed up the word 'compare')
As we take trail from the harbor of New York, we reach the middle of the ocean in less than an hour. From there, the ship moves slowly and we enjoy the breeze that flows with it.
The dance floor had a music band, playing soft violin like the pirate skeleton from an animation.
The music was touching our souls. I couldn't help but groove to the music while holding her waist in one hand and the complementary champagne in the other.
"Doesn't this remind you of our first date?" As I take my first sip from the sweet and sour and spicy champagne, she says to which I hum, my mouth full of the champagne.
"Yeah. And I loved it. I confessed to you first." I say.
"No, I confessed to you first." She stresses.
"What the— yeah. You're right." I sigh, disappointed with myself.
"Ravine?"
"Hmm?" She was taking a sip too as I call her name.
"Why'd you propose to me out of the blue, baby girl?" I say. My finger caresses her side of the face as I hold the champagne glass with me.
"Hmm, because someone was taking too much time to do it. So I took the initiation myself, and I loved your reaction, baby boy." She chuckles and leans closer towards my face. She was wearing heels, she could easily touch me with her lips as she kisses my cheek.
"Ah. It seems like I'm always considering things too much." I say. She lifts my hand up to twirl around it as she comes back in my embrace.
"And it's perfectly alright. You're one in a million for me, Aaron. If you are willing to do anything, then I'm already doing it because I know you'll take your own sweet time." I hear her say as she kisses me again. This time, I bend her down in a pose and bring her back to position.
We were swaying in our own separate worlds. As I do so, I promise myself one thing.
"Lovely Ravine... don't ever accept me if I'm going against your wishes, alright?"
"Why not?" She asks me after taking a few seconds to perceive my words.
"Because I can't bear to lose you, if I didn't something wrong." I say to her.
"Alright. And I will ask the same for you. It's for perfecting the relationship we have right?" She says as I nod with pride.
"Absolutely correct, my love. Let's keep loving till the end of time."
"I will love you even after the end of time. Believe me. I'm stubborn as hell." My laugh was genuine to her words.
"I know, baby girl. I know."
