Chapter 74

Thea's Point of View

“That's it, everything can be done as long as Cray can't see," he said as he removed the hand from Cray's eye.

“Y-you!” I can't finish what I'm going to say to him because I'm at a loss for words. My eyes were filled with excitement and humiliation, yet what I liked won out, even if it went against my reaction.

I couldn't talk to him because I knew he wouldn't comprehend what I was going to say, so I simply put my hand on my brow and showed him that I was worried about what he was doing. As I bent down, I saw a glimpse of his hands moving, as if he had taken something from his pocket.

“Find a dress that can be used because we're leaving now,” he said, handing me the phone I'd been looking for. “Cray dialed my number. Even if he doesn't call, I'll come here. I prepared a couple of dishes. We just buy the remainder of the items at the shop for the picnic.”

I picked up the phone and then sat on the bed to shop for clothes to wear. I installed a shopping app, then registered. I did that quickly because Megan's connection is strong and the two men next to me don't bother me either. When I opened the app, a lot of dresses and clothes immediately popped up on the screen. When I saw the black tube, I pressed it because it caught my attention.

“Not that. Choose another one.” I turned to the man next to me and then raised an eyebrow at him. And who is he to tell and teach me what to wear?

I ignored his instruction and searched anyhow. Beautiful clothing, I observe, only in case the price appears to pierce my eyes. If my life had remained the same, I would have purchased it without hesitation. The only exception is that I need to preserve since the life I am living today is different.

A revealing dress is the only item I see that is so inexpensive. The design isn't great, but it can be overlooked if the person wearing it is charming. I'm still seductive, and nothing has changed since Cray was born. My body returned almost immediately, so what is the use of being sexy if I'm not proud of myself?

I instantly clicked add to cart and purchased loose pants. Because my legs had been wrapped up in some way. My top is just exposing enough to avoid drawing the other person's notice. I was going to borrow the money from Megan first since I was about to click the cash on the delivery button when Craig abruptly grabbed my phone.

He pressed something, which was returned to me after two minutes. My brow wrinkled as I returned my attention to my phone, and I wasn't sure how to respond when I discovered his bank account was linked to the store. There's nothing to worry about because the shop is secure, but I doubt he'll do it because he just gave me money. I used to be unconcerned about money, but now it's a major matter to me.

"I told you not to choose that because I don't know what I can do to a man who might insult you or when someone looks at you with a sticky look." He took what he said seriously and examined me from head to toe. I had bitte my lower lip. I feel so strongly for him that it appears like I will require a large number of containers to hold my love and overflowing affection for him.

"Maybe I'll be in jail next time."

I pushed his face away because I could no longer take what he was saying. I covered my face with my right hand while my left hand shoving his face. My heart kept screaming at what he said next.

"Let's not just leave and just let me watch you naked all day. What do you think?"

I instantly covered his lips with my hand and squeezed his arm tightly. It's like if we're kids having fun and messing around. He laughed while my hand was still covering his lips, but as he licked my palm, I swiftly withdrew it. I felt as if I had been burned as soon as I removed my hand.

Cray leaped on us and laughed at the same time. I locked my gaze on Craig, hoping that his words might not find their way into Cray's head because of the way he talks. Before I stood up, I stroked Cray's brow. I had already ordered the garments, and they will come in 1-2 hours. Because the business employs a personal courier, I don't have to wait long for my products to arrive.

I sat Cray on Craig's lap to get up because I needed to take a shower. They merely looked at me as I entered the restroom, taking the towel first, so I could wipe myself afterward.

My heart appeared to skip a beat as I entered the bathroom, and the butterflies never stopped tickling me.

I rapidly drenched in the water from the shower after entering and putting the towel on the handle. Because I was feeling hot, I let it run all over my body. It's humiliating that I'm experiencing something temptation while standing next to my son. I'm not even scared to death.

“Thea.”

I turned off the shower because of the knock on the door. I can't hear the voice well. When it didn't knock again, I called back. I grabbed the towel, and it was almost slippery as I walked.

I think I've been in the bathroom for almost an hour and taking a shower because the heat I'm feeling won't subside and dissipate.

Not only that, but I think I still have to consume all the water that this house has before it can be removed. It was also a while before I wipe myself because I felt with every caress I had on my body that something inside me would live.

“Why?” While undressing and wiping my hair, I asked why someone was calling me. There was still no answer, so I opened the door to the person who was outside.

I saw Craig knocking again but stopped because of my sudden opening. I frowned, but he just showed me the clothes I ordered.

It appears that its delivery has been speeded up. He hung it in the air, even the underwear that I had simply chosen earlier.

I don't believe he'll stop mocking me until much later. So, I scooped up my clothing and banged the door shut. Ugh! Craig's taunting of me is driving me insane. Cray seemed to have gone downstairs since I didn't see him when I glanced out the door.

I just hurriedly dressed, so we could go straight away. I didn't see him when I came out, so I knew he was below. The outcome I want — the aesthetic I desired — was achieved.

Downstairs, I noticed Craig conversing with Rayleigh while Megan was speaking with her daughter and Cray. Craig stared at me quickly, then murmured something to Rayleigh before leaving Rayleigh. He approached me right away and extended his hand. My lips quickly curved into a grin.

During these circumstances, I have no desire but not to end this day. I instantly clasped his hand in mine and accepted his offer.

“Let's go?” He invited me, and I gently agreed.

I looked at where Megan and the children were. I saw the glances of smiles on her and I knew she was happy too because I was happy. Likewise, I never thought I would reach this level of happiness. When I have no question in my brain. There is no why and how.

“Cray, let's go.” Holding hands, we called Cray.

The three of us got out and got in his car. I even looked around because I was afraid someone might see us. I let Craig first, then Cray and I followed. I was in the front seat while Cray was in the back and the seatbelt was tight.

We arrived at the park, which was crowded. I still plan to avoid many people so that no one will know Craig in the end, he still takes us to a lot of people. I stopped him from coming here, but he still insisted, so I did nothing.

We couldn’t go to the market because we lost it in our mind because of what we talked about. In the end, we'll just dig in Craig's cooked bento boxes. I don't eat that much and Cray doesn't eat that much either, so I think that's enough for us.

He pulled out a cloth and placed it on the relatively unoccupied part. Fortunately, there is a part where people don't go through much. He took us where it is. We also put the food we brought, and he also brought a book. That was exactly in the strong wind.

Beautiful as a relaxing place. Cray immediately ran to the children who were also playing, even though he didn't know them. I was just smiling as I watched him when Craig suddenly lay down on my lap holding a book.

“Do you think we would have lasted longer if we had explored something else like this? Not just my constant doubt? If I had asked you those times about the thing I doubt, we would be fine and not end up like this!” I was playing with his hair when I said that.

Looking at Cray as the wind also blew away my every utterance of the word.

“What do you mean by “like this “?” His face is now covered by the book. Then he began to talk. We're OK; every “like this” you say is fine with me as long as you're present for every “like this” you remark. If there's one thing I regret, it's that I've always let you down… therefore it appears that I might inflict further harm on you again.”

I didn't hear his final words because Cray was sprinting at us. He had barely been playing for a few minutes when his back became wet. He sat down next to his father. I messed with both of their hair. I didn't say anything about what he told me. I didn't realize that everything that was going well and not so well with us was absolutely fine with him since I was a part of it.

“Ice cream! Sorbets!” The ice cream vendor’s truck screamed as we lay down. At once, we turned there.

“Cray!”

Cray immediately stood up and ran there. He thought maybe that ice cream was free because we were in the park. Craig was about to stand up, but I stopped him.

“I will go with him. When something like this happens, I explain to him the wrong thing that he interpreted.” I pinched Craig's nose. I stood up, and his head drop fell on the cloth.

He would have stood up again, but I pointed at him as if threatening him not to stand. He sighed then pouted as if he was very disappointed. I laughed at his reaction. I followed Cray, hid my face in the sun, making my hands as if an umbrella. I saw him waiting to be given ice cream.

I crouched and bowed to him. Furthermore, I pat him on the back. He was irritated to have to confront me since the salesperson was still refusing to give him ice cream. I smiled at the man, as though apologizing, as he scratched his hairnet.

“You know, Cray, not everything is free. Like this ice cream, you have to have money to make it yours.” I stood up, then paid the man. I borrowed cash from Megan because it was difficult to leave without carrying any money. After I paid, I sat down in front of him again. “And you shouldn't suddenly run without letting us know. What if something bad happens to you?”

His eyes became gentle, and his face became apologetic. I messed up his hair to show I wasn’t angry, and I just wanted him to learn to be sorry for what he was doing, and he should have thought first.

“Miss.” The one who scooped the ice cream called me.

Normally, I'd take it to the salesperson, but it was abruptly bumped as if it had been tossed aside. My pupils dilated. Instead of staring at that individual, I turned to 'Cray, who was now screaming aloud because someone had thrown away his ice cream. I'd want to return my attention to the person who appears to have done it on purpose.

However, I was more concerned with Cray.

“Shhh. We'll buy it again.” I brushed away his tears and returned my gaze to the ice cream machine. The salesman began scooping ice cream even before I said anything. Cray was still unsatisfied, so I turned to the person who had done what had caused the ice cream to be thrown away.

Felicity's glaring eyes were the first I saw.
