Chapter 75
Thea's Point of View
She was wearing a purple dress and holding a purse. She was gasping for breath while she was furious. How did she follow us? I didn't show that I was surprised when she arrived, but it seemed that this woman was already engulfed in anger when she started shouting. Everyone was already looking at us, so I didn’t even wait for the ice cream and was ready to leave there.
I grabbed Cray and began to go, but she yanked my hair tightly. It felt like I was burning my hair and ripping out all of my hair, even the roots. I close my eyes responding to the intense tension of her engagement with me. I tripped because she pushed me. I rolled in the dirty ground while fastening and protecting Cray's head because I was terrified it might collide with a rock.
“MISTRESS! YOU STOLE MY Fiancé! GET YOUR OWN!” As she kicks my legs with her heel, she shouts those words. My head was just hidden in Cray's body because of the mixed rumor.
“GARBAGE! I WILL KILL— AHH HH!”
With the loudness of her scream, I looked at her. I saw the impoverished Craig. Felicity, on the other hand, was pushed back when Craig pushed her again. Felicity held her cheek. I stood up suddenly when Craig strangled Felicity. I also quickly stand Cray, who still didn’t stop sobbing. Felicity's right hand that had been holding her cheek was now holding Craig's hand that was choking her.
The air was blocking her throat, but no one tried to approach the two of them.
I immediately ran to Craig and hugged him from behind. But even if I did that, he still wouldn’t let go of Felicity. This is the first time I have seen him so angry. It's as if he can kill a person.
“C-Crai …g” Felicity couldn't continue what she was saying because she was choking.
“Daddy! Stop … !! ” The crying Cray hugged Craig's knee. The two of us hugged him. I was from behind him while Cray was at his feet.
Craig looked at his feet and looked back at Felicity.
“Try to follow through on what you tell my wife. Maybe I'll murder you right now. Right here, in this spot.” He spoke sharply and strongly. Even I; couldn't say much to what he said. Thereafter, he talks again with deep.
“I can kill anyone who disrespects my wife. Keep it in mind, Felicity. If you're in the position of these two, you're not yet on the ground she's treading on.”
He then released the grip on Felicity's neck and pulled Cray off his feet and carry him.
He returned his gaze to the woman, who was now coughing as a result of the choke he had created. I also let go of his hug, and I didn't respond right away as he tugged my hand away from those folks. I just gave in because I couldn't keep up with his rage anymore.
“C-Craig, our things,” I whispered gently, but he didn't look at me or simply respond. We walked right up to his car. That's when he pounced on me. My eyes, on the other hand, seem like they've been reprimanded by their owner. When he looked at me, his eyes were filled with rage. Is he upset with me?
“I'm not doing anything, why do you look at me like that?” I pout to lighten the tone between the two of us. Cray, on the other hand, had stopped weeping and was feeling sleepy. I would have snatched him from Craig, but he evaded me. I asked him a question with my eyes. In his rage, does he sympathize with me?
"That is the issue! You're doing nothing! What happens if I'm not here or there? Will you just stand there and let her hurt you like that?” He had the appearance of a lady. My lips curved into a grin.
He'd never done anything like this before. Even after our child died. It's simply too bad that he just discovered this after our kid died. Cray's twin may still be here if he had pushed Felicity away from us sooner. But, at the very least, what I stated before was a smack in the face, and he is now taking steps to rectify them. And I was at ease because I knew he'd never allow his mother or Felicity to abuse us again.
Out of excitement, I peck him in the lips. The smile on my lips could not be erased, no matter how hard I tried to avoid that flash. I hem, put my hand behind my back, and sway my body. I feel like a teenager answering the person I admire to be my boyfriend.
“You won't be gone, will you?” I feel it would be better not to take the smiles from my lips because I believe they will help me get closer to him and learn more about him.
In reaction to what I stated, he sighed. I wanted to take him to our province and show him where my folks were from.
Because it is my backup plan if the two of us are unable to work together any longer. The only exception was that Wayne abducted me, so not everything went as to plan. At the same time, I'm thankful to Wayne for doing something he shouldn't have done for whatever reason.
“You are no longer safe where Megan is because Felicity may already know that place. I'll just take you to the house where she won't know where it is.” After he said that he handed me Cray who was sound asleep now. I didn't notice that he was asleep because I was focused on the conversation between Craig and me.
“How was your old house? I want to live there.” I was still swaying Cray, so he wouldn't wake up because we were still out of Craig's car. We were lucky and Felicity seemed scared of him, and he didn't follow the two of us. The only problem was: I didn’t know what was going to happen to him.
“How about you? How is your relationship with Felicity? I know you had an engagement party because she wanted to help you get back on track with your company, and he cleared your name by stating video.” My voice was sad, if I hadn't just let Mason take over the company I might have helped him and I can still give him support from our company.
In all of my queries, he seemed to be considering everything thoroughly first. Because he pauses to consider his response before responding. He appeared to be deep in meditation, and he didn't want me to be a part of the drowning out of his thoughts. It's still my choice, no matter how hard he tries to keep us out of our old house. I'm going to fight Felicity the next time she does it to me.
I just did not fight sooner because I believed I was the incorrect one.
“Do you not want a new house? You're distant from everything, and you're alone in the silence. Moreover, you only have negative memories of that house; why do you want to return?” He had already opened the front seat, but I was still standing where I was.
Before stepping inside, I responded to him.
“What you said to me in each “like this” between us was fine because you said I was there.” As long as I'm with you, I'm the same. We also can't flee Felicity if she intends to harm us. All we have to do is confront the issue she will bring.”
He locked his gaze on me for a long time, peering deep into my soul. He kissed my brow first, then moved on to my nose and lips. “I hope I'm as brave as you. I hope I can muster the same bravery as you.”
He embraced me hard after that as if he didn't want to let Cray and me go. Craig, I'm the same way. I hope you always embrace us like the way. I hope you don't take away the tightness of your hug because you have no idea how much bravery I absorb with every hug you give. I am strong with every kiss and embrace you give me. I'm getting more energy to go through the day.
We didn't go immediately to Megan after getting in his car, so I merely informed her that I would pay the money I borrowed from her through the bank, but she refused.
It was still dirty when I arrived home. The way we left it when we met here still appears to be the same. He hadn't cleaned it yet, so I took advantage of the opportunity while Cray was sleeping. I also don't think Craig will sleep here. He has already informed us that he has a lot on his plate.
When I was finished, I sat on the sofa and glanced about the home. I wasn't sure what I was going to do next, so I got out my phone and texted Craig that I was simply going someplace. Because he may return home unexpectedly and be unable to contact us, and who knows what else he would think. Cray awoke shortly after I sent the message, and I spotted him upstairs rubbing his eyes.
I acted swiftly and searched the app store for anything to wear because I couldn't afford the clothing I'm going to wear right now. Good, and Craig's bank account is linked here, so I can buy whatever I want. I also purchased Cray some new clothes. We sat for a bit, and I let him watch while I cleaned the rest of the home.
It arrived within an hour, so I prepared for where we were heading. I'm not certain if the clothing I purchased would make me giggle.
It's almost like a disguise. I don't even want anyone to know who we are. I ordered everything in black, and it came with a black mask to hide the fact that I was Thea Curtis — former Holden.
I'm still debating whether to bring Cray or leave him with Megan. I eventually decided to simply leave him with Megan, since I didn't think the area was appropriate for him to witness. I'll only be there for a short time, simply to visit my parents and light a candle.
I feel their souls were lost in the blast.
It was just a matter of time until we arrived in Megan. I also brought some new Cray's clothing just in case I was late.
“Megan, can you look after Cray first? I'll just be somewhere for a bit. When I'm late, his clothes are here.” I handed her the tiny bag and sat in front of Cray. “Please don't be cheeky here, okay?” Mommy just has to take action. “Don't make Aunt Megan hurt her head.” I kissed him on the cheek and walked outside.
I went to the market before I arrived at my location to get a few candles. I got out of the taxi and was walking when I noticed the yellow thing that the police use whenever there was a crime to limit. It appears that they have no intention of reopening this case because it has been too long since the crime occurred, but if the case does not advance, I just knew that it has been closed for a long time. After breaking through the barrier, I noticed a smattering of combustible things. This is the location of the chemical explosion.
I lighted the candle and then placed it on one of the soldering irons. First, I prayed, and then I began talking to my dead parents.
“How are you?" I ask, chuckling. I feel like a lunatic speaking to the wind. “I'm sorry, and I just came here.” I wasn't sure whether I was ready to talk to you without even having a full recall of what happened to you. I feel as if I'm speaking to nothing since I can't recall the experiences we had back then.”
I noticed a rock and moved up to it, cleaning it with my fingers before sitting down. I shrugged my eyes at the thing, which was no longer identifiable owing to the explosion's extreme tan.
“It's me, Thea. I don't think if I am alright. However, I'm happy.” I smiled and began to weep. “I'm sorry I couldn't obtain the business. I felt apologetic, and I placed myself first before thinking about the firm. If only I'd thought about you sooner. I wish I had the company now so that I could assist Craig.” I got down from the rock and smile. “However, I can reclaim that company. Just give me some time to map everything out again.”
I stepped on something as soon as I started walking. I raised my black rubber shoes and then glanced at what it was. I saw the pierced diamond earring on my rubber shoes as I picked it up.
I examined it closely, and it wasn't an ordinary diamond.
