Chapter 92
Thea's Point of View
As we stepped inside, he grasped Cray's hand. He no longer speaks to me even in the car, which makes me sad. I really don't want to bother him any longer since he already thinks too much, and I don't want to add to it. When I think about him, it gets much worse in his eyes. I came to a halt because tears were welling up in my eyes. I felt as though something was stuck in my throat and I couldn't get it out. I don't feel good anymore, and I believe things are getting worse. My heart ached further as he walked up the steps and still didn't look at me. My throat was parched, and I couldn't say what I needed to to him.
He gazed at me as I wept. Because of what he was doing, I couldn't stop sobbing. In recent days, my mood swings have been changing, and I may easily become irritated with Cray or Craig. Every morning, vomiting visits me, and I have an idea why, but I don't want to tell him until we've settled our situation with Joana and Mason. When everything is in order, I'd want to tell him this blessing news.
I turned away from them, wiping the tears from my cheek. Perhaps they don't need me anymore, and they can be just the two of them.
As I approached the door, a hand clutched my waist and refused to let go. Because of what he had done, tears welled up in my eyes. When I took it off, he kissed my brow and sniffed the top of my head. My tears spilled even more with each movement. I know I have nothing to worry about, but what if they go so suddenly? What if, one day, when I opened my eyes, they weren't there? I'm terrified.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to harm you, I don't want to hurt you, but I'm scared of what you're doing. I know Mason and what he's capable of. He doesn't care who he runs into; what matters to him are himself and his mother. I'd like you to stay at home until I get some answers regarding what's going on. I'm concerned about Cray and you." He went quiet and hugged me, and Cray came to me, so I hugged them even more. I nod as he finishes what he's saying. "I've also increased security to ensure that what happened in our last residence does not happen again."
My phone rang as we hugged, so I hurriedly grabbed it, hoping for news of the woman. I didn't anticipate much because it was only lunchtime, but when I saw who was calling, I returned Cray to his father and answered the phone. Craig and I exchanged glances as I listened to the voice on the other end of the call. I also activated the loudspeaker so that Craig could hear what we were saying and handle the matter. I put the phone between us and began listening to what was on the other end of the line.
"We're with the woman now, Mrs. Holden; she's already consented to come with us; we're just waiting for you to tell us where you want to talk to her. Is it at the police station or at your house?" Because of what the cops stated, the excitement in my heart is alive, and I didn't believe it would be simple for us to do. I smiled at Craig, and he didn't seem to understand why. I haven't told him where I went, and I don't think Megan has told him what happened.
"Take her at our place, we will talk to her about what she will do," I responded, cutting the call short because they knew where they were heading. When I placed my phone back in my bag, I noticed Craig waiting for my explanation, so I hugged him and told him it was only a matter of time before everything was perfect. It's only a matter of time till I don't have to worry about anything and we'll be happy. He's still not asking, and it appears like he's waiting for me to tell him everything.
"That woman will be our solution to finding out who is truly to blame for everything," I said to him. I also told him how I learned about CCTV and his mother, and he simply sat there and listened. Everything will be easier for me since it is all coming to an end.
My delight is still unimaginable. The woman I was waiting for came after I finished telling him everything. When the cops arrived, I was as happy as a toddler to see his or her parents.
When the woman came down, I thanked her by hugging her and she seemed shy of what I had done, and when I broke with the hug, I uttered the words I wanted to say to her.
"I appreciate your cooperation. Just tell me what you want, and I'll give it to you.”

Everything will eventually come to an end.
We're currently hiding and waiting outside the building. I'm currently with the cops, and Amara has already entered. The woman's name is Amara, and she wants to help me because she wants to get the firm back on track, and I was relieved when she told me she is more has confident to me than Mason.
The cops respond shortly so that when the copy is received, Mason and Joana have a guard to prevent them from fleeing. It was all over if I viewed the video; I had nothing to think about. Craig held my hand since it was sweating when I was inside the car.
I've been biting my nails for an hour and Amara still hasn't come out. Mason's puppies are still not leaving their position, so I know Amara hasn't been apprehended. When I looked at my watch, it was exactly an hour before she was inside, and Craig took my hand in his and kissed it, assuring me that everything would be alright.
And it was as if a thorn had yanked me out as Amara emerged, clutching her handbag fiercely. Mason's minions stared at her, but they didn't detect anything in her bag. When she passed them, she raced to us, and I jumped out of the car to embrace her. She instantly rummaged through her bag to give me the tape, and when I saw the correct date, I handed it over to the investigator who had come with us. We didn't waste any time and rushed to the police station. We took Amara for her own protection.
The police did not spend any time, and when we got to the station, the tape was quickly filtered so that we could watch the film while it was being forwarded. My pulse was racing because I was about to see the true perpetrator of what had transpired. And when the moment came, we stood there calmly watching what unfolded.
When the video began to play, everything appeared to be typical; as Craig stated, my parents had a disagreement, and as a result, mommy Lily just went; the film did not show how her earring fell, but the fight did not end. Many males arrived at my parents' location, but three stuck out: Mason, Joana, and someone I didn't expect: my father's friend, Director Jackson.
They were only conversing at first, but I covered my mouth with my palm when the guards seized my parents in black and carried them to a location where the camera had not struck them. When the explosion happened, Craig hugged me right there. Although it is not revealed how everything was made, it is obvious who created everything. The policemen moved rapidly, as if they knew exactly what they were going to do.
"Don't worry, Mrs. Holden; Mason and his mother will be arrested today as well. His associates will undoubtedly be held responsible. Just allow us a few hours to prepare the arrest warrant." I stopped waiting for the detective to say anything. He rose up and approached the guy who was now issuing the arrest warrant. Craig simply held me as Amara was sent off to rest first. I didn't want to go home, so I persuaded Craig that we stay here. Until I didn't know I had dozed off.
I had only just awoken when someone touched me on the cheek, and as I opened my eyes, I noticed that everyone was getting ready to depart. Because I didn't sleep well, the warrant was carried out fast. When I realized I was the only one they were still waiting for, I stood up and prepared to go.
Because the others had already risen, I hurried up. Craig, on the other hand, was merely there to support me. I grin because they are finally going to pay for what they have done to me.
When we got to the company, they refused to let me in, but when they realized how many of us were with the police, they removed themselves out of fear of what the detective would do. When we arrived on the correct level, he was not at his desk, so the detective inquired as to where Mason was, and we discovered that this was the day he would sign for him to receive all I inherited, so we both ran to the meeting room, Craig came ahead of me and opened the door for us.
When I noticed Mason, he had already raised his hand for the signing that he was about to do.
But when I saw him and aunt Joana arrested, it was as if a tremendous load had been removed from me. Because they were struggling, a warrant for their arrest was issued. Their eyes widened when they saw me. I approached aunt Joana and smacked her across the face with a sharp slap that rang throughout the room. When she couldn't understand what was going on, I walked up to Mason and slapped him in reverse. I wouldn't have stopped slapping him if the police hadn't stopped me. I couldn't even look at them or talk to them because I despised them.
They were escorted out of the conference room, leaving Craig and myself alone. I held him when I was sure no one was around, and that's when I burst into tears. My cheeks were red with tears, but he didn't say anything and simply held me. I kissed him after looking him in the eyes while he grabbed my waist.
"It's all over now. We shall be happy.”
Craig lowered my veil and softly pushed his gentle lips on mine. I shut my eyes. I used to be terrified to close them because I didn't know who I was going to marry, but I don't think that will happen anymore. This previously scary prospect now makes me delighted.
"I am proud to welcome Craig Holden and Thea Curtis Holden, the newlyweds!”
When I open my eyes, I am filled with love. It's not a fantasy. Who would have guessed that something I used to think would be just a dream would now be something I hope is more than a dream.
A lot has changed and a lot has happened. Everyone has made amends. I've forgiven Wayne and mama Lily since she's already apologized to me, so I know all the negative memories are now in the pit. I'm back in business. I know that no matter how many challenges arise, Craig and I will be able to tackle them all. I used to live in the dark and full of hatred, but today I can say I am happy.
My life was a roller coaster, yet I was content.
