Found her

TONY was driving the car quietly, listening to the conversation between his boss and his assistant.

"I want to know her true identity as soon as possible," Steven ordered Grey.

Steven had also decided to stay away from Nicole so that he can think rationally. He thought of avoiding her and distracting himself with other things to avoid temptation.

"I'll talk to the detective you trust later," Grey replied to the young boss.

Steven also ordered Grey to keep an eye on Nicole. He will be his representative for things that they need to talk about.

When the two passengers got out of the car, Tony quickly called Kanor.

"Why did he think of investigating Nicole? Did something happen that I didn't know about?" Kanor asked Tony with a frown.

"I think something strange is forming between them, Sir." Tony replied to the gentleman.

Kanor thought that Nicole would seduce Steven. Perhaps there was already something between the two.

"What are you going to do now? They will surely know that Nicole is not your biological daughter." Tony said when Kanor remained silent.

"Her true identity cannot be revealed yet. But if necessary, I will not allow anything that do not favor Nicole." Kanor answered seriously.

Tony could tell that Kanor has something that can be released in case everything is revealed. All he had to do is find out how the investigation of Nicole's identity is going.

Danica sat on her seat restlessly. She is waiting for the call of the man she hired to look for Soledad and Gardo. When the call rang, she answered it quickly.

"I have Soledad now, Ma'am."

"Very good! Take her to our agreed meeting place." She commanded Brando, extremely pleased.

"How about the child?"

At the same time as Brando asked, Danica heard a child crying.

"Let go of my grandmother! Don't take her!" Natasha cried pleading with the man she didn't know.

Natasha became afraid of the man even more when he aimed the gun at her grandmother Soledad.

"Shut up if you don't want your grandmother to die!" Brando threatened the child.

Natasha quickly shut her mouth for fear that the man would do what he said.

Danica smirked as she heard the child cry. Like Daniela, the child didn't know about the whole truth about her.

"Take the child too, but put them in separate cars."

"Don't! I'm begging you, don't involve the child and take her away from me!" Soledad pleaded with the man while weeping.

From the voice she heard, Soledad had an idea who was looking for her. This was what she feared would happen. Danica found her and that meant only one thing. Nicole had definitely showed herself.

"You follow everything I say if you want that girl to live!"

Soledad couldn't do anything when Natasha was forced into a car. And she too was put in a different car. She did not know if Gardo had also been found by their former boss. Since they went on their separate ways, she had no news about the man.

Danica waited patiently for Soledad to arrive. From the province of Bicol, Brando traveled for a long time with the child and Soledad. She could hardly sleep at night because she couldn't wait for Brando to arrive.

Soledad is very worried about the child she loves dearly. They intended to keep Natasha away from her so that she would obey what they wanted to happen. She is afraid not for herself if she is killed. But for Natasha, she was too young to be with her in the afterlife. She loved the child very much and so did she.

Ever since Natasha came to her, Soledad's life was full of colors. She had no news of Gardo and she didn't know how Danica found her.

Danica sent the child to a rest house she owned. She brought Soledad to a remote place so they could have a talk.

When Danica saw Soledad, she angrily rushed at her and pinched her cheek. "Tell me the truth, did Nicole really die?"

Soledad bit her lower lip to prevent herself from complaining of pain. She could do nothing because she was held in both arms by two unknown men. When Danica asked, she didn't seem sure if Nicole was really alive.

"Answer me!" She pulled the woman's hair and made her lift her head. "You won't hide from me if you have nothing to hide! I can't even find Gardo!" Danica raised her voice.

"I don't know what you're talking about." She stammered in response to Danica.

"I'm sure now you lied to me! I trusted you before, so I didn't bother to look at her corpse!"

Soledad was utterly overwhelmed and when Danica decides to dig up the grave of the corpse, she will also know the truth. Only sacks were buried there, thus nothing of a corpse could be seen.

"Admit it if you don't want to increase my anger and let me kill that girl first!"

"I beg you, please don't!" Soledad's voice was shaking and she was ready to kneel in front of her. "You should blame Gardo because it was his idea to lie to you."

Danica's eyes widened with madness as she stared at Soledad. She felt like she was suddenly out of breath because of all her feelings. She slapped the woman hard on the cheek before breathing out one after another.

"You are useless! You let a dying woman escape from you!" Danica slapped Soledad on the cheek continuously out of anger.

Soledad was forced to tell Danica what really happened then. She felt that her eyes were swollen because of Danica's scratch. Even her lips were beat and she tasted her own blood in her mouth.

Danica pulled her own hair out of anger. For a moment, she thought of a way to get rid of Nicole. Now she knew why she looked at her in a certain way. She wanted revenge on her, thus she pretended to be someone else. But she figured she was making a way to reveal the truth. And she wouldn't let that, she would act first and if necessary, she will kill her.

"Lock her up in the warehouse and wait for my call!" Danica commanded Brando. She can't think of anything now and she needs Soledad's life.

"My granddaughter, where did you take her?" Soledad mustered courage to ask.

The anger Danica felt only grew at the thought of Nicole's second child. She also needed that girl's life to make Soledad obey her.

"Have mercy on the child, she has nothing to do with this, so let her go. I swear, I will do whatever you want as long as you don't hurt her." She begged Danica.

Danica smiled at Soledad's visible concern for the child. "Don't worry, I'll keep her alive as long as you do everything I want."

Soledad nodded one after another.

Danica left Soledad with Brando. She can use Natasha to hold Nicole and Soledad by the neck. At that thought, Danica's anger lessened. But for now, she will try to kill Nicole first.

Danica told Brando what he had to do. She also left a large amount as down payment. She didn't care about the money spent if it's to erase Nicole from the world.

Nicole felt that Steven was avoiding her. She didn't know what he was thinking. After acting like a possessive boyfriend, he suddenly became cold to her. Annoyed, Nicole came out of the building. She had to go home late because Steven didn't seem to want to give her time to roam somewhere. She was given tons of work and only Grey came to let her know what Steven wanted her to do.

When Nicole stepped into the parking lot, she suddenly felt nervous. She took a look around. She didn't see anyone, but she felt that someone was watching her. This was how she felt when she was under the power of the enemy. She couldn't see the person, but someone watched her from somewhere.

Nicole took big steps to where her car was parked. But before she could open the door of her car, someone riding a motorcycle was coming to her. He was fast and he was going to her direction. Due to the shock and the speed of events, she could not move an inch. Her eyes widened as she saw the motorcycle driver raise his right hand and point the gun at her.

"Ahhhh!"

Nicole's loud shout coincided with the gunshot. The bullet hit Nicole's shoulder as she fell and fainted from extreme fear.

Brando quickly turned around to take a good look at the woman and make sure she's dead. But his attempt to approach the woman was interrupted when he saw a car approaching and honking its horn. He quickly started the motor and headed out of the parking lot.

Panting, Tony approached the woman lying on the floor and bleeding. He wasted no time and picked her up to take to the hospital. The security guard also ran to where he was and helped him take the woman in the car. He ordered his companion to help him to support the victim's body.

Those still in the company were in a panic because of the noise of the gunfire. Steven, who was on his way home, quickly went out to find out what had happened.

"Sir, I don't know, but I just saw your driver was carrying a bloody woman." A guard said to Steven.

Steven's heartbeat suddenly quickened when he heard that the victim of the gunshot was a woman. He glanced in the direction in which the crime happened. He was momentarily like a statue when he saw Nicole's car. The mirror was shattered because the bullet had penetrated it.

"Shit, search the area and find the culprit!" he commanded the guards and quickly called Tony.

Tony immediately answered the phone when it rang and put it on the loudspeaker. "Sir, I'll take Miss Nicole to the hospital."

Steven almost dropped the cell phone he was holding when it was confirmed that Nicole was the victim. He seemed deaf to the loud horn from the car Tony was driving. He knew there was traffic at the time and he had to make a noise to clear the way.

"Please, hold on!" Steven said to her inwardly. He quickly ran toward another car that was also parked there.

Everyone was left confused by the events, particularly by how their CEO worried.
