Escape
When Danica arrived at the other hideout, Brando met her immediately.
"You idiot, why did you leave this bag in my car?" She threw the bag at him and it hit his chest.
Brando scratched his head when he saw the bag. "I'm sorry, Ma'am, I was in a haste and I didn't even think about where I put it."
"Be glad and no one else saw this." She rolled her eyes at the man. She went to where Nicole was.
"Ma'am, could you let us taste her before you bury her alive?" A subordinate asked Danica while smirking.
Danica smirked and looked at Nicole. She was irritated with her perfect body, so she was pleased to think that other men will harass her.
"Danica, don't do this to me. If you're going to kill me, do it now." Nicole pleaded, and she was afraid.
Instead of feeling sorry for her, Danica became even more annoyed with the woman. She approached her and slapped her hard on the cheek.
"That’s for being the villain in my life! If you didn't come back, Rita and I would still be friends!"
Nicole immediately tasted the blood coming from inside her mouth. Danica's slap was hard, the inside of her lip hurt.
"You're a coward! You're forever a loser!" She shouted at Danica.
"Say what you want to say, but it can't do anything to save you from death." Danica laughed out loud as her eyes widened creepily at Nicole.
"I swear with my life that you won't be happy!"
"Really?" She smirked and brought her face closer to Nicole's. "How's that? Steven and I are getting married next week. And did you know that our grand wedding will be held in Italy?" Danica said mockingly.
"I will die happy because someone truly loved me, unlike you who if not for using me, no one would love you!" Nicole smiled insultingly.
Danica's glare at Nicole sharpened. She pulled her hair and lifted her head up. "Are you proud of your parents? Well, don't worry because they'll die before you. And Rita and Gaven? They'll be following you too with Natasha!"
Danica laughed again because of the anger in Nicole's eyes. But she could do nothing but curse her, and those hurtful words no longer affected her. She stopped pulling at her hair when Brando entered.
"Ma'am, there's bad news."
Danica turned angrily to Brando. "What do you mean?"
"My subordinate couldn't reach that woman's parents. According to their maid, the couple was on vacation abroad."
"Why didn't you take care of killing them earlier?" She scolded Brando.
"There's another one," Brando said while avoiding the woman's scorching glare.
"Ahh!" Danica angrily pulled Nicole's hair and vented her anger on her. Soledad was no longer in her cell, so the prisoner they paid couldn't kill her.
"Couldn't Rita have found a way to ruin your plan?"
"Impossible! I made sure she won't talk to anyone since you freed her." Danica was suddenly confused and worried about what was happening.
"About Gaven, security at the hospital has also been tightened, so the person pretending to be a nurse can't just enter."
"That man is definitely the one opposing me!" Danica exclaimed.
Nicole was happy with the news. Even though her scalp and cheeks hurt, she was happy to think that her parents and Gaven were safe.
"Watch her and don't take advantage of her. Wait for my go signal." Danica instructed the man before commanding Brando to follow her so they could talk properly.
Steven was in the middle of the trip when his sister called.
"Brother, Sean is missing!" Rita reported while crying.
"How did that happen?!" Steven's voice raised slightly.
"I don't know, Brother. But I've looked for him in and out of the mansion, but he's nowhere to be found."
"Damn, calm down first. I'll review the CCTV outside the mansion. Don't let Daniela out of your sight." He strictly instructed his sister. She already knew that he knew Danica's true identity.
Mauro did not wait for Steven's order. He immediately opened the screen monitor and reviewed the CCTV attached to their gate and garage.
Steven barely blinked as he watched what was on the screen.
"Sir, look at this." Mauro pointed to a footage where the boy could be seen going to the garage.
Steven's eyes widened when he saw his son enter the back of Danica's car.
"What are we going to do now, Sir?"
"Where is Danica now?" Steven's jaw clenched.
"She had already left the first location she went to. Our subordinate at the place where the man was, called. Danica was there."
"Ask them to check if they saw a child."
Mauro immediately called his subordinate. But according to him, the back of the woman's car had been opened since earlier and they did not see anyone else get out of there.
"In that case, he was left at the place where Danica first went. I have to follow my son there."
Mauro turned to go to the first location. It was a bit difficult for them to pinpoint the exact location because Danica's car was no longer there.
Steven regretted why he didn't figure out what gadget his son was using. Because of a series of events and being busy with business, he didn't think about that.
"Sir, Sir Gaven is calling."
Steven turned to the gentleman, he was also with him to attack the opponent. "Answer it."
"Tony, where are you guys?" Gaven immediately asked..
"Sir, we're going to Laguna because we've already located where Danica hid Ma'am Nicole. But there's a big problem now because Danica separated the hostages and Young Master Sean is also in danger."
"That's why I'm calling. I know where Sean is and I'm on my way there. Tell Steven to head to the other destination and rescue Nicole."
Tony didn't need to repeat what Gaven said, because his phone was on loud speaker. Steven quickly snatched the phone from Tony.
"Gaven, I entrust the lives of my children to you!"
Gaven was silent for a moment when he heard Steven's voice. "I promise I'll take them home safely. But promise me that Nicole will be safe with you, too."
Steven nodded, even though Gaven could not see him. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fist.
"Don't worry, I can easily find Sean because of the phone he's carrying."
Steven was relieved and thanked the latter. "You have my greatest gratitude for this."
Steven ordered Mauro to proceed to the first place they were going. But he also sent more people to find the place where Gaven was going.
When the man lay on the long sofa, Sean hurried into the room.
"Shh!" He motioned for his sister not to make any noise.
Natasha's eyes widened when the boy appeared. He was probably the same age as her, but what surprised her was that he looked like her.
"We need to get out of here."
Though scared, Natasha nodded. She would later ask who he was. The important thing right now was that she gets out of here and finds her grandmother Soledad.
Sean came out first and held his sister tightly by the hand as she followed him behind. He saw the man sleeping and he was near the door. The other one was also asleep in a room. Before he entered there earlier, he had sent a message to his Daddy Gaven to pick them up.
The two children held their breath as they stepped out the door. Both were afraid to create noise that might wake the guards up.
"Brrr, hmm…"
Both of them halted and could not continue stepping on the floor when they heard the man snoring. Their hearts beat louder as he moved. Sean turned to his sister and motioned for her to cover her own mouth so as not to make a sound. They let a few seconds pass and when they were sure that the man was sound asleep again, they slowly walked out.
The two breathed a sigh of relief when they reached the door. When the door opened, it created a noise. They didn't look back, Sean quickly pulled Natasha and ran away.
The guard was startled when he heard the door open. He quickly got up to see who opened it.
Sean quickly led his sister to hide behind a drum. He could see through the small hole that the man had peeked through the ajar door. When he closed the door, he helped Natasha to her feet. They had to get away from there before the guard knew that their captive was no longer in the room.
"Damn it!" the man cussed when he found out their captive was missing. He quickly went to his partner's room.
"Wake up! The kid is gone!"
"Damn! What are you doing and that kid got away?" Toby frowned and got up angrily.
He did not answer his companion. He went out first to look for the child.
"Hurry up, they can't chase us!" Sean huffed, pulling his sister's hand as he ran.
"I'm tired!" Natasha spoke softly and felt dizzy.
Sean worriedly touched his sister's forehead. She was sweaty and pale. He forgot that she was sick and it seemed to have worsen.
"You can leave me alone, they might catch up with us." Natasha gasped and pushed the boy away.
"I can't leave you!" Sean looked around to search for a place where they could hide.
They could not cross the road because they could be easily overtaken by the guards. On the other side, there was a forest. He led Natasha there, so that they could somehow find a temporary hiding place.
"Go there and I'll go here!"
Sean heard the voice of a man chasing them.
"We need to find that kid because otherwise Brando will kill us."
"Shut up and it's your fault!" Toby shouted angrily at his partner. "Surely she has not gone far. Search on the road and I'll search in the woods."
Sean hugged his sister who was now trembling because of her fever and fear as well.
"Don't cry, I'll save you and won't let them get you back." He whispered to her.
"W-Who are you and why are you helping me?"
"This isn't the right time for us to talk because they might hear us. But remember, I'm your Big Brother Sean and Mommy and I have been looking for you for a long time."
Natasha wept quietly as she stared at the boy who introduced himself as her brother. Her grandmother never told her about her mother. But she believed in Sean and trusted that he will save her from the hands of unknown men.
Sean quickly thought of a way to prevent the men from seeing his sister.
"Stay here, I have to leave you here and confuse them, so they won't find you." He whispered softly as he adjusted his sister to lean on the big tree.
"Where are you going? They might take you." Natasha was scared and tightened her grip on her brother's arm.
"Don't worry about me and just trust me. I have to do it for you. But no matter what happens, don't leave here, okay?"
Natasha nodded at him while crying.
"Hold this and don't let go. This will help you so Daddy can find you."
Natasha accepted the thing Sean handed her. Growing up in poverty, she did not know what her brother had left her.
Sean cautiously left and changed course. But before that, he dirtied his clothes and voluntarily appeared in front of the opponent before he could get close to where his sister was.
