CHAPTER 102
TWO MONTHS LATER
Casabella’s POV
I was already six month gone but my baby bump was already looking like I was nine month gone. Sometimes I feel light kicks on both sides which I think might be I’m pregnant with twins but I’m not really sure until the scan is conducted which is today.
I have an appointment with my doctor today to carry out the scan and administer some drugs to me since I have been feeling a bit sick lately throwing up frequently.
“Honey, please come help me out.” I called out to Mark who was checking out the outfit I will put on.
“Just a second, my love. I’m trying to look for a dress you won’t have to feel uncomfortable on.”
“Can you please be a little faster? I want to pee really badly.” I explained trying to get up but he rushed up to me.
“Let go.” He led me inside the bathroom while I cleaned up myself before we walked back to the room.
“How about you try this dress? It’s a baggie dress which is good for the bump.” He asked, showing me a fat pink short dress.
“Are you complaining I am always putting on your clothes?” I narrowed my eyes, staring curiously at him.
“Of course not, wifey. We’re going to the hospital and I can’t let you go out looking like this."
“That's because I feel really comfortable in your clothes. I really don't know why I have to put on this dress."
"You have to, my love. I also want to take you out." He revealed.
"Why didn't you tell me about it earlier? Are we going to a restaurant and will I get to eat whatever I want?" I asked, crossing my arms around his neck.
"What's all these, wifey? Are you trying to seduce me into taking you to a restaurant?" He smirked, wrapping his hands on my waist.
"Can't I be romantic with you anymore?"
"You only act this way when you want something."
"But this time around I'm not the one requesting for something but the baby."
"Is that so? How do you get to communicate with the baby all the time?"
"Can you stop questioning me and give me an answer to my question?" I whined.
"Okay. Yes, I'm taking you to a restaurant, can you please stop crying now?"
"Really? You're the best, hubby." I embraced him.
"I love you too. Will you allow me to change your dress now?"
"Yes Mr Clinton." I responded as we pulled away and walked over to the bed.
Mark's POV
After getting her ready for the hospital, we held each other's arm and headed to the dining area to find the maids setting breakfast on the table.
"Good morning sir. Good morning ma'am." They choired.
"Good morning Stella, Alice and Elizabeth." Casabella replied pulling away from me to take a seat.
She's so addicted to food and can do anything to get it and when I say anything, I mean even if it has to do with being romantic like a while ago.
"Wow! You guys made sweet potato fritters and pancakes. Come try some sweetheart." She beamed, dishing out the food for herself.
I took a seat close to her and dismissed the maids before serving myself as well.
We finished up with our breakfast in a few minutes and left the house to the hospital.
In less than an hour we arrived at the hospital and went straight to the doctor's office.
I made sure the doctor who will be handling my woman should be a woman like her and not a man who will get to look at what belongs only to me.
We stopped in front of the doctor's office with her name boldly written on the door.
I knocked on the door and instantly I heard her urging us in.
We stepped in and found her having a cup of coffee.
"Good morning doctor." Casabella greeted her.
"Good morning Mrs Clinton. I'm glad your husband decided to join us as well. Good morning Mr Clinton." She reciprocated.
"Good morning Dr Angela. Thank you for taking good care of my wife."
"It's my duty as a doctor after all." She smiled and offered us a seat.
"I'm glad you decided to join us for the scanning today, Mr Clinton." She added.
"I want to see what my first baby looks like in the womb." He replied, smiling at me.
"It's really a good feeling to witness it as a father as well. So, Mrs Clinton, have there been any complications after our last appointment?"
"Actually yes. I've been frequently throwing up at every little thing I take which I don't think it's really normal."
"It's really normal Mrs Clinton. You just have to reduce the intake of some unhealthy food for the baby."
"I'm glad the baby is fine. Also, I'll try to stay away from unhealthy food."
"Alright. That being said, shall we proceed to the examination room now to start the process?"
"Sure, after you." I responded, holding Casabella's hand as we trail behind her to the examination room.
Casabella’s POV
The doctor gave me a pair of pink gown to wear with the help of Mark inside the restroom.
“Are you all set, Mrs Clinton?” The doctor asked the moment Mark and I stepped out of the restroom.
“Yes, I am.” I replied as Mark helped me in getting on the examination bed.
“So, Mrs Clinton, you will see what your baby looks like through the screen after I apply this gel around your bump and use this vibrator to spread the gel.” She explained.
“Okay. Can I get a photo to keep?”
“Of course, you can.” She responded and applied the gel on my bump which felt cold before she spread it all over my bump.
I took a look at the screen and saw the image of my baby’s tiny legs before it moved to the body part.
“That’s the head of your son and it looks like there’s another leg after his.” She uttered moving the device to the left as the image of another baby appeared.
“Wow! It’s another baby and it's a girl.”
“This is amazing! I can’t believe we’re having twins.” Mark expressed, holding on to my hand.
I had the feeling it wasn't just one baby but two babies growing in my womb. I don’t know how to express such great joy.
“I’m so happy right now.” I burst out in tears and pulled Mark to myself.
“Congratulations to you both.” The doctor expressed, taking the device off the device off my bump.
“Thank you doctor.” He responded.
“You’re welcome. I will be in my office when you both are done so we can talk about the safety measures she needs.”
“Okay. Thank you once again.”
“You’re welcome Mr Clinton.” She replied and trooped back to her office.
“I’m so proud to have you in my life, wifey. This is the best news I’ve ever received.” He confessed, taking a seat right next to me.
“I’m really excited we’re having twins. I noticed it with the way my bump was growing so fast and the amount of good I consume.”
“I really can’t express how happy I am right now.”
“Me too. I hope you didn’t forget you’re taking me out to have whatever I want.” I reminded him.
“I can’t forget honey. You can always have whatever you want, I don’t mind.”
“And that includes sex as well?” I asked, shyly.
“Yes Mrs Clinton. I’m all yours after all.” He chuckled.
“You’re too sweet, hubby.” I pouted my mouth and pulled him closer before slamming my lips on his in a passionate kiss.
After a short while, I got rid of the patient’s dress with Mark’s help and changed into my dress before we joined the doctor in her office.
“I’ve taken some notes of the drugs she needs to take. Please have your seats first.” She stated the moment we walked inside the office.
“Thank you doctor.” Mark uttered and helped me to take a seat.
“Mr Clinton, she needs to have a lot of rest and you should try as much as possible not to get her hurt or sad because she might tend to hurt the babies in the process, please be mindful of that.” She explained to Mark who nodded his head in response.
“I will make sure nothing of such happens.”
“Also, she needs to take in lots of vegetables and fruits and lessen the intake of oily stuff and these are the names of the drugs you will get for her at the pharmacy.” She added, handing a paper with the list of drugs on it.
She can’t possibly stop me from eating chicken wings and other delicious meals I crave for.”
“I will keep note of that. Thank you so much doctor.”
“You’re welcome Mr Clinton. Take good care of yourself, Mrs Clinton.”
I wanted to lash her with words for trying to stop me from taking my favourite meals but seeing how nice she has been to me, I had to control myself.
“Okay, I will. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. I will see you soon.” She replied as Mark and I left the office.
After getting the prescribed drugs in the hospital pharmacy we left for Twist Connubio restaurant which I picked myself due to the range of tapas dishes on their menu.
They have the best dishes you could ever imagine and are very good at making it.
After long minutes of driving, we arrived at the restaurant as Mark and I held on to each other as we walked inside the small and cozy restaurant.
We took a table at the end of the restaurant as one of the waiters walked up to us with the menu.
“Good afternoon sir, ma'am. Welcome to Twist Connubio. Here is our menu." He stated handing the menu to us.
“As you know, my love. It's my treat so order whatever you feel like."
"Erm.. I will have Burrata, Confit tomatoes, aubergine puree, Pollock,braised chicory, capers, anchovies and Culatello dry cured ham." I hummed.
"I will be back shortly with your order." The waiter responded and walked away.
"I still have one other thing to surprise you with for giving me such great news."
"Awwww... Really?" I asked, tearing up.
"Yes, wifey. You're so special and deserve something special and unique as well."
Having such a caring husband like Mark is really a blessing in disguise and I'm so lucky to have him in my life.
