EPILOGUE
TWO DAYS LATER
Casabella's POV
I stared at my pregnancy report which confirmed I am three weeks pregnant for the second time.
I really can’t wait to share the good news with Mark but I want to make it a surprise to him.
“Congratulations Mrs Clinton.”
“Thank you Doctor Angela.” I smiled and hugged her tightly.
“You’re welcome. I’m sure Mr Clinton will be very much happy when you share the good news with him.”
“He will. Thanks once again.” We pulled away from the hug before I trooped out of her office.
I stepped out of the hospital and found the chauffeur waiting for me in the car.
I got into the car and instructed him to take me to my parents’ mansion to pick the kids up.
In less than an hour, we arrived at the mansion as I found the kids playing with Norman and my dad in the garden.
They didn’t notice my presence which made me head inside as the aroma of spaghetti and meatballs coming from the kitchen hit through my nostril.
Oh goodness! The food is really going to be mouthwatering. Mum sure knows how to welcome me with such treats. She’s really good when it comes to cooking.
I dropped my bag and the pregnancy report on a small sofa in the living room and trooped towards the kitchen.
I found her inside the kitchen totally engrossed in cooking unaware of my presence as I tiptoed towards and hugged her behind.
“Hey baby! When did you arrive?” She asked, turning around to hug me.
“Just now mum.” I answered.
“So, what did the pregnancy report say?”
“It’s positive. I’m three weeks pregnant mum.” I revealed.
“Wow! That means I’m expecting another grandchild.” She exclaimed.
“Yes mum. I’m still thinking of a way to break the news to Mark.”
“You have come to the right person for the solution. I've got a lot of ideas running through my head.”
“Awwwn mum, you’re really the best.”
“Thanks baby.” She smiled.
“Mum, I’m so hungry right now.” I blurted out.
“Don’t tell me it's the baby’s demand.”
“Mum!” I called out pouting my mouth.
“I’m being serious here, honey. The baby hasn’t even developed to any stage yet and you might want to get away with that just like you did the last time.”
“You’re really funny, mum. It’s not the baby’s demand this time around.” I assured her.
“That’s good to know.” She chuckled and served me some meatballs.
Mark’s POV
I checked the time to see it was just noon yet I was missing my wife so much unlike before.
I still don’t get why I was acting that way but I just wanted to be with her. I can still endure this great urge and round up all these files before going home to be with her and the kids.
The thoughts of going home left my mind as I focused on the files on my desk.
But after a while, a knock coming from the door distracted me.
“Yes, come in.” I ordered as Thomas walked in.
“Are you busy sir?” He asked.
“Yes. Is something wrong?”
“There’s someone who wants to see you.”
“Who is it? Did the person have an appointment with me?”
“No sir. But the person doesn’t need an appointment to see you.”
“What does that mean?”
“It’s your wife and the kids.”
“You mean they’re here?” I asked in shock.
“Yes sir.” He smiled.
“Send her in right away.” I ordered as he walked out.
I can’t believe it was a feeling she was close to me. Our connection is really great and perfect as soul mates.
In a minute, the door was opened as my beautiful wife and kids walked in.
“Daddy!!!” Alice and Kelvin called out rushing towards me while their mum just stood at the door watching us.
“Hey kiddos. How is grandma and grandpa doing?”
“They’re fine, dad.” Kelvin responded smartly.
“Daddy, we have come to take you home.”Alice uttered.
“Did your mum tell you that?” I asked, staring at Casabella who looked away.
"No daddy. Mummy has got something to say to you." She replied, smiling which made Casabella clear her throat.
“Uhm kids, can you go out and play with Thomas. Your dad and I have something to discuss.”
“Okay mummy.” Alice responded while Kelvin just smiled and held his sister's hand as they both left the office.
Kelvin happens to inherit all my features; the looks, smile and the character which I feel so me again.
“How are you doing, Mr Clinton?” She asked, walking towards me.
“I wasn’t really fine until you showed up. Do you know I’ve been missing you all day long, honey?”
"Really? It's a good thing I showed up. I've a surprise for you, that's why I am here." She sat on my lap, crossing her hands around my neck.
"A surprise?" I asked, curiously.
"Yes and I want you to guess what it is."
"I can't guess, my love. Just tell me."
"I will only tell you on one condition."
"Is it? What's the condition?"
"I want us to spend Christmas in Spain. I heard it's a beautiful country."
"That isn't something hard to do. Consider it done, just tell me what the surprise is all about."
"I know you would. Erhm... Actually, I'm three weeks away." She said, smiling.
"Away from what, my love?" I asked, confused.
"Gosh! You're really something else, hubby. It means I'm three weeks pregnant."
"Wow! We're going to have another baby?" I asked, joyful.
"Yes, we are." She nodded, smiling.
"This is really great news, my love. I can't believe this." I laughed, holding her around the waist.
"Can you bear my hormones again?" She asked, suddenly.
"Why not, wifey. That's the best part I love to see in you."
"Really? Which part do you love most? Is it the sexual desire part or the angry part?" She asked in a soft sexy tone.
"You know the answer after all, Mrs Clinton." I answered.
"You're so corrupt, Mr Clinton."
"Only for you, wifey. Only for you." I grinned and slowly captured her lips.
I'm the happiest man to be blessed with such a darling and caring wife who fills my life with everything a man wants.
Indeed love is an intense feeling of deep affection.that makes you feel like the luckiest person in the universe.
