CHAPTER 43
AUTHOR'S POV
Everything was fixed as Dr Edward, Sean and Daisy were ready to have the strange girl taken to the car when Dr Sam stopped them.
"Sean, one of my staff members got these items in her pants. I'm sure it will be a useful means to track where she came from." He said, handing an I.D along with two business cards and a piece of paper with an address on it to his best friend.
Sean collected the items and took a look at the I.D and saw it was the girl's own. He saw her name is Casabella Smith but couldn't see an address on it but believes she was going to the particular address in the paper.
He couldn't believe he was extremely beautiful before she suddenly got burnt on her face.
"I'll look into it. Thank you so much Sam. I'm really grateful for the help you have rendered to me, hopefully I'll repay you one day." Sean shows gratitude to his friend Sam who smiled.
"It's nothing Sean. What are best friends for?" He joked and Sean smiled knowing how his best friend can be very funny at times.
"I will repay you one day, don't forget that." Sean insisted.
"If you insist. I can't stop you."
Sean, his wife and Dr Edward all left along with the strange girl being placed on a bed and still unconscious.
Sean already called for his private plane to be brought down to New York by the agents that worked under him. What he found more hurting was the fact that the private plane was brought for his daughter. He wanted to make it a surprise on her birthday but fate had other plans installed for them with someone else.
Dr Edward, who was aware of the couple's daughter's dismissal, felt bad for them and vowed to make the surgery a success for them.
Furthermore he believes the strange girl whose name is Casabella will help them to seek revenge for the couple's daughter. However, something kept bothering him nonstop. How and who could have hurt her and why?
But he knows when she learns of the new face that will be given to her, she will learn to embrace it and appreciate the couple for saving her life and rendering their daughter's face to someone they nearly know.
After a long drive, they arrive at the location the agents were waiting with the plane as the bodyguards rush towards the car and carry up the strange girl on the roller inside the plane where the body of Madison was kept.
"It's good to see you, Mr Williams." An older bald man in his 70's who is regarded as the president of the agents welcomed Sean and Daisy.
"Thank you, Mr Flex."
"I'm sorry for your loss. After hearing of the news, I thought it would be best if we met in person."
"It's okay. You also lost many men."
"Yes but it isn't compared to yours. I'm really sorry." He added which made Daisy become sober and had Sean notice the change in his wife.
"That's alright, Mr Flex. Let's proceed." Sean insisted and grabbed his wife by the waist.
"Let go." Mr Flex urged them as they all proceeded to the plane including Dr Edward.
LONDON, UK
They finally arrived by 8pm and headed straight to Mr Edward's hospital with the escorts Sean requested from the agency.
In a couple of minutes, they arrived at the hospital and had Madison and Casabella pulled out from the bus and taken inside the hospital.
Dr Edward had Sean and Daisy meet his fellow colleagues who will be performing the surgery with him.
"You don't have to worry about anything. We're the best in face transplant and we will make sure we leave you guys stunned by our performance." One of the doctors with grey hair jokes to Sean and his wife.
"Alright, Mr Philips." Sean responded by the man's name.
"Shall we get ready?" Another doctor inquired.
"Of course, you all can head to your office and get ready. I'd like to have a few words with them." Dr Edward addressed his colleagues who obeyed since he is the best among them.
Dr Edward cleared his throat and reassured Sean and Daisy of a successful operation and stroll to his office to get himself ready in his medical uniform.
NEW YORK, USA
Mark's POV
"King, we have checked all the places we could but she's gone. I don't think she's still in the country."
"There's no possible way she would have left the country. You have to keep searching for her."
"We'll still keep on searching until we have got a clue of where she is. I'm so sorry boss, it's all my fault. If I hadn't fallen asleep that day, she probably would have been with you right now. Please forgive me, King."
"It's not your fault Leo, it's all mine. If I had confessed my feelings to her the last time I saw her, she would have been with me right now. It's all my fault."
"You're not at fault as well, boss. It might be her uncle's doing to make her leave the house." He suggested, which made me recall the son of a bitch.
"Let's go to that mansion now. I must provide for her in one way or the other."
"You've got to calm down, King. I'm sure she will be seen "
"I can't do that until she's found." I admitted, feeling like a part of me is missing.
"You have to stay strong. Remember, you're a Mafia king and nothing makes you lose your path."
"I can't lose my path but she has a great impact in my life and without her I don't think I can ever become normal again."
"King!" He called out in shock.
"It's the real truth but you must keep it a secret and please, you have to keep searching for her."
"Noted, King but please compose yourself. We still are yet to find the captain of those bandits who attacked Miss Rosy."
"You're right, Leo. I almost forgot I have a sister to protect from the devil's eye. When are you guys planning on the second mission to find the captain?" I composed myself.
I've got to deal with my emotions or it will only put my sister's life in danger which I don't want to happen. But I still need to know where she is and how she is doing without anybody to call a family or a helper.
"We're striking tonight. We already found his real location and we're heading there along with the lite group."
"That's wonderful. Keep me posted and keep searching for her no matter what."
"That won't be a problem, boss." He replied and I dismissed him.
My heart says she is still close and much alive. Where are you Casabella? Please, come to me. I can't leave a normal life if it's not with you. You have tamed my heart completely. Please, come to me.
AUTHOR'S POV
Madison and Casabella's bodies were already moved into the theatre room as Dr Edward and the rest of his colleagues, who are five in number and all dressed in their medical uniform, all head into the theatre room and begin the face transplant.
Sean and Daisy were anxiously waiting to hear the situation of the operation as it was already past seven hours since the operation started.
Daisy on the other hand couldn't help but feel scared of the outcome of the rest and asked her husband questions.
"Honey, do you think the operation will be successful?"
"I also don't know but since the doctors already guaranteed us of a successful outcome, we shouldn't be doubting any further and hope for the best." He responded honestly and hugged her to himself.
After some couple of minutes, Dr Edward and the rest of the doctors walked out of the operation room with sad expressions on their faces which got Sean and Daisy even scared and rushed up to them.
"Why are all your faces looking down? Did something happen to the girl?" Daisy asked anxiously.
"Did the operation turn out to be a success just like you guys had said or not? Please, talk to us." Sean pleaded to Dr Edward who only sighed and urged his colleagues to go after him.
"Why can't you say anything? What's wrong with the girl, is she dead or something?"
"No, please don't talk that way Mrs Williams. She isn't dead but we have got a problem."
'What problem, Dr Edward?" Sean stammered.
"Well, the thing is, the operation was a success just like we did tell you guys but..."
Dr Edward doesn't know how to break the sad news to the couple but he is sure a miracle will happen.
Daisy on the other hand couldn't take the silence from the doctor anymore and hold him by the collar.
"Please, tell us what's wrong with her?" She pleaded, breaking down in tears. She doesn't want to believe what her heart was telling her about the girl who she sees most of her daughter's features in.
"Calm down, honey. He will tell us." Sean pleaded with her and pulled her hands away from the doctor and apologised to him.
The doctor pulled off the gloves in his hands and cleared his throat ready to break the news anyhow to them seeing they are so eager to know the state of the girl.
