Chapter 47: 5 years later
Warm fingers run up and down her spine.
"Mhm," she groans, rolling herself over and pressing a kiss against a hard chest. Her hand rises, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. He grins when she looks at him.
"Morning, honey," he whispered as his hard chest rumbled. His hand, which had been moving up and down, was now dangerously close to her sensitive area. When he notices her stiffening, he whispers and smirks, "I had fun last night."
"Yes, the dinner date was astounding," she teases, knowing he wasn't talking about the dinner date.
"Well, the dinner date was fantastic, but honey, I was talking about after dinner," he flutters his brows oddly.
"Oh, what happened after the dinner date? I forgot," she exclaimed, her eyes widening and her lip biting.
"I believe I'll have to remind you," he says quietly, nibbling at her bare shoulder.
"I guess so," she said, wrapping her leg around his waist. He rolls onto his back and pulls her down, slowly kissing her.
"Good morning," she says quietly as she pushes him away. He smiles up at her, twirling a strand of her hair around his finger, his beautiful eyes twinkling. "You look to be happy."
"I am, I can't believe you're here beside me, I'm so happy," he says as he pulls her down, his lips ghosting over her. "You're mine now--" he added but he didn't finish his sentence when she, pressed her lips to his, effectively shutting him up.
"Naughty," she mumbles, pulling her lips away from his.
"You're my wife," he laughs, the crinkle in his brow. "I love being naughty with my wife, honey."
"Shut up and wish me a happy anniversary," she says as she runs her finger down his chest.
"I like it when you're bossy," he smirks, rolling her underneath him.
A door down the hall rattles unexpectedly, and she laughs as he moans. He stands up and hands her nightgown before reaching for his checkered pajama pants and a white t-shirt on the floor.
They are both dressed at that precise moment, and their bedroom door opens. Her tiny feet were squashed a few seconds later.
Eddie, their four-year-old son, yells as she jumps at the foot of the bed, "Mommy! Daddy! Time to get up!"
Anthony comes forward, grabbing his legs and dragging him between them.
"Good morning, Daddy!" he laughs as he plants a sloppy kiss on his father's cheek. He is unquestionably his Daddy's boy. Anthony would be spoiled rotten their little boy if he had her way.
"Good morning, son!" exclaims Anthony. "Good morning, princess," he says to Ana, a seven-year-old who is attempting to crawl next to her.
"Hi, Daddy," she says as she flops her body between her mother and his younger brother. "Mommy, good morning!"
"Hello, sweetheart," she says, kissing her on the cheek. "Did you get enough sleep?"
"Yes. Will we be seeing King today? "
"Yes, we are," she says, pushing her dark curls out of her eyes, "as well as Aunt Lily and Dina."
"Are we going to spend the night?" Her blue eyes sparkle and Eddie stares at her wide-eyed.
"Yes," she said, tapping Eddie on the nose. "You're all staying the night."
Eddie exclaims, "Yay!" "I'm going to play with Harold!" he exclaims as he leaps from Anthony's arms and out of the bed.
Anthony nudges Ana and says, "Ana."
"Go make sure you have everything ready for your younger brother."
"Yes, sir," Ana says solemnly as she salutes Anthony and follows her younger brother out of the room.
"Where were we?" Anthony asks, sliding his hand up her calf. "Oh, I remember."
"Ah," she says, jerking away from him. "Kids are awake."
He pulls a pillow from beneath the blankets and places it on his face, groaning loudly. "I'm going to need a cold shower then," he pouts, stomping his feet like a child.
Her gaze wanders down the blanket, where she notices a large bulge. "It looks to be a very cold shower."
He tosses himself out of bed, grumbling. "This-" he points to the issue in his pajamas. "It's your fault," he says as he bends down, grabs her hand, and pulls her up, their chests pressed together. "Ohh, sorry, honey," she says seductively. "How about?" he says, bringing his finger to her chin and pursing her lips.
"Can you make it up to me tonight, when all the kids are gone?" he grinned
His hands rest on her hips as he moans. Take a few deep breaths. He pulls her forward and places a long, forceful kiss on her forehead, his hands reaching from her hips to her head. "Don't forget later when the kids are gone; I'll take a shower for now." She exits their room and goes downstairs once he is in the bathroom. Her eyes widen as she walks into the kitchen.
"Can you tell me what's going on in here?"
There are dirty bowls all over the black granite table, an egg on the floor, and a mountain of shells in the wash basin.
"Hello, Mom. We're preparing you and Daddy.
breakfast! "Ana yells, and Eddie jumps up and down beside her.
"Oh, the smell of burnt toast pervades the entire kitchen." "Where have you gone, nanny?"
"It's her day off, mom," Ana says, nodding.
"Oh, I forgot it's Saturday now," she says, looking around her kitchen.
She looks at the two masterminds. "You all go change and gather your stuff."
"All right, mom."
"All right, Mommy."
They share a laugh before taking the stairs to their rooms.
"Wait, what happened in here?" a voice from behind her asks.
"Our children prepared breakfast for us."
"Hahaha but they just make a mess," Anthony laughed.
"How about we make another one to make it messier," Anthony suggested to her. She flushed as a result of what he said.
"O-okay," she said shyly, "I think I'm ready for that."
"Really?"
She turns around to face him. "Another three babies?" she inquired.
"Our oldest is seven years old, and our youngest is four; are you sure could we have another baby?" he asked once again as his eyes twinkled.
"We can discuss it."
"What's the point?" he asks, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her against him.
"Would you like a baby?"
"Yes."
"We'll talk later tonight."
His body stiffens in opposition to her, and he sighs.
"What?" she asks, raising her head and looking him in the eyes. The spark that was there before has faded. He returns his gaze to the suitcase near the front door.
"My father called."
"Nooo," she says, a childish whine leaving her mouth. Her wedding anniversary weekend is now ruined.
"He needs me to go to New York for the weekend, and I'm sorry, but it can't wait," he grumbles. "Don't despise me, honey."
Her sigh fills the room. "You're going to have to do something incredible to make this up to me," she says, forcing her surprise to be postponed.
"I promise," he says, pecking her lips. "I will."
"Kids!" she exclaims as she walks past Anthony and towards the front door. "Would you like to say goodbye to your father?"
"Bye, Dad," Ana says as she runs down the stairs, high-fives her father, and runs back up.
Eddie whimpers, leaping into his arms, "Daddy!"
"Bye, bud," Anthony says as he ruffles Eddie's hair.
"I'll be back on Monday, so please be a good boy to Mommy, okay?" He hugs Eddie before setting him down as the young boy runs away, leaving his mother and father alone.
"I promise I will make this up to you when I return." He whispers.
"Where is my goodbye kiss?"
"Of course, honey. I won't forget that, "he says, bending down and pressing his lips against hers. Sweet and slow, they move together. He pulls away after a brief moment.
"I love you, my Mrs. Anastasia Rivera," he says, brushing his hand against her cheeks, and she shudders slightly.
"I love you too, my Mr. Anthony Rivera," she whispered as she kissed him once more.
