Chapter 46: The accident
Cassandra's flight was early, so she was driven to the airport by a friend.
"Be careful. Call me if there's a problem," Ava advised, and Cassandra nodded as she walked to the airport.
She sighed as he boarded the plane, remembering how her husband had cheated on her the night before, causing her to cry once more.
"If you don't mind, you can use my handkerchief," a familiar voice said. "Anthony??"
"Yes, it's me," he said, smiling sweetly at her. "And why are you crying? Anyway, why are you alone? Where is Edward?" Does Anthony inquire?
"Why do you have so many questions?" she demanded angrily.
"Okay, sorry. I was just worried about you, Cassandra. Is that wrong?" Anthony asked as their gazes met, but Cassandra simply averted her gaze.
"Stop it, I'm not in a good mood right now; hand me your handkerchief," she said shyly. "F*ck, I should remember to bring my handkerchief next time," she muttered to herself.
When Cassandra's phone rang, Anthony, chuckled and handed her his handkerchief.
"Hello, this is Atty. Margarita, is this Ms. Cassandra Ogatcho?" the woman on the other line asks.
"Yes, just me. May I know when I can meet you to discuss everything personally?" Cassandra said on the other line, then hung up the phone after they settled everything, as she noticed that someone was staring at her.
"Stop staring at me, Anthony," she exclaimed angrily.
"Sorry, honey. I can't help myself because you are so beautiful," Anthony said as he winked at her, but Cassandra just rolled her eyes at him.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please be seated. Our flight is ready for departure.”

Their flight was quiet for a few hours, especially when Anthony fell asleep, which Cassandra appreciated because he couldn't bother her for the time being. Then it occurred to her what her plan would be after all of this. She can't stay in the mansion any longer, especially now that her trust has been shattered into pieces. She didn't want to see Edward because she was afraid she'd only remember how he cheated on her.
She was deep in thought when she heard someone shout. "No one will move! Or else, we will all explode here! I planted three bombs on this plane, so one wrong move and this plane will explode!" yelled the old man angrily, his arms covered in tattoos.
"Sir, please calm down; we can get through this in a calm conversation," said one of the passengers.
"No! What's the point? My wife is already married to another guy! He divorced me because of that scumbag pilot in this plane! "
"So, if you want to live, bring him to me right now!" he yelled angrily.
Cassandra felt pity for that man and was scared at the same time. She could feel his pain and it was the same pain she felt when she saw her husband with his mistress.
"But it's not right," she murmured.
"Sir, I understand how you feel right now. M-My husband cheated on me too, and instead of doing bad things because I hate him and his mistress, I chose to calm down because my children need me," Cassandra explains, hoping to persuade the man to abandon his plan to blow up this plane.
"Please, don't make a mistake that you'll regret someday," she added.
"Hahaha, are you crazy!? Do you think I'll listen to you! Hahaha, what a stupid b*tch!" exclaimed the man, laughing uncontrollably.
Cassandra then felt embarrassed when she felt someone holding her hands and realized who it was. It was Anthony, and his concern for her was visible on his face. "It's okay, at least you tried," Anthony grumbled as Cassandra sat down.
"Do you really want to die with that broken-headed man?" Cassandra asked, rolling her eyes at him.
"Of course not, honey. I was just worried about you. You don't need to force him to listen to you if he doesn't want to. Let's just think of another way," Anthony whispered.
"Such, it's too obvious that we can't survive here we can't stop him. He's crazy and we're on the plane, Anthony. It's a 50/50 for our survival," Cassandra said as she held her cold hand trying to calm herself.
When the man punched the pilot in the face, all of the passengers screamed. "Die! Due!" exclaimed the old man as he punched the pilot once more. One of the flight attendants tried to stop them, but the old man frightened the people who try to help the pilot by holding up the remote that was connected to the bomb then he took out his gun, pointed it at the pilot's head, and fired without hesitation. Everyone was shocked by what they saw.
Cassandra became even more nervous as she held her baby bump. "Anthony, are we really going to die now?" she asked, her tears streaming down her cheeks. Anthony then hugged her to calm her down, even though he was also worried about what had happened to them, but there was one thing he was certain of. He is determined to protect Cassandra at all costs. "Don't be afraid; I'm here to protect you and your baby," he said softly as he tapped her on the back but then someone grabbed her from behind. "And you, b*tch! I'm going to kill you too!" exclaimed the old man, pointing a gun at Cassandra's head.
She was unable to breathe due to the extreme tightness of his stranglehold, which was accompanied by extreme nervousness and fear.
"Please, let her go. She's pregnant. Have mercy on her," Anthony pleaded, but the old man simply laughed. "It's so funny to see you guys like this."
"I can only watch it in the movie I didn't realize it's more fun if I witness it personally," the old man laughed before Anthony rushed to grab the gun in his hand, causing them to fight as the remote bomb was thrown on the ground.
And then, the old man grabbed Anthony's gun and shot him in the leg. Cassandra screamed as she heard him groan in pain, "No!!"
"Please, I beg you, stop this right now," she sobbed.
"F*ck you, b*tch! You're really annoying!! You're ruining my mood. Should I blow up this plane now? Ohh, you're scared, right? hahaha don't worry, we're still going to meet in hell," he laughed as he picked up and clicked the remote. Cassandra then felt someone hug her tightly before the explosion, and then everything went black.
It was exactly 10:30 a.m. when the plane exploded.

Meanwhile, Edward is restless and frustrated. He tries to call Cassandra's phone, but he can't contact her. Edward then angrily sat on the bed. "F*ck!!! What did I do?!?" he screamed angrily as he punched himself in the face. He was mad at himself. He made her cry again and broke her trust once more. "This is all her fault. I'm really going to teach her a lesson! That stupid slut ruins everything!" he said, enraged when his phone suddenly rang. He then quickly answered it.
"Hello? Is this Mr. Edward Consuelo? "
"Yes, that's me. Who are you?"
"I'm Detective Carl. I called to inform you that your wife is already dead and she was involved in the plane explosion this morning. "
