Chapter 49: Find her
"Edward, are you sure about this?" Mark asked him worriedly.
"Yes, I'm really determined to find her no matter what," he said with frustration on his face.
"But it's been five years since that accident happened. Do you really think she is still alive? Is it possible to survive in that accident?" Mark inquire.
"So, are you telling me that she is already dead? as long as there's no dead body of her. I will believe that she's still alive! so don't you ever there question me like that again!" he yelled at his friend enraged. Edward can't control himself every time he hears something like that. He doesn't want to think that his wife is already dead, he's still hoping that Cassandra was alive.
"I'm sorry. I know what happened to both of you hurts you so much, but Edward thinks about Akia as well. Your daughter needs you, and I am also hoping that she's still alive because I don't want to see you like this, "Mark said worriedly to him.
"Don't worry, Mark; if I still can't find her, I will start accepting everything that happened," Edward said, taking a deep breath. "But this time, let's give it a try. Help me find her, even if it's just her dead body, even if she's really dead. I want to give her a proper burial, but if she's alive, I promise to fix our family once again."
"Okay, I will help you," Mark said as he tapped his shoulder. Mark felt pity for his cousin. He's been stressed and frustrated.

"Anthony, are you really going to keep doing this?" His mother ask, worried.
"Mom, I know what I'm doing. I love her and I can't lose her. I and Ana are happy with her with Eddie. She is my wife now, and we are a real family," Anthony says.
"Of course, you are happy with her; she is your wife now, but for how long? Anthony, you can't keep the truth from her; she needs to know the truth, her true—" she didn't finish her sentence when Anthony slammed the desk with a little anger on his face and then looked at his mom.
"Stop it, Mom!"
"I don't want to lose her. Please understand me too, Mom," he cried.
"My dear son, I'm just saying this because I'm worried about you and Ana; we both know she is not her biological mother, and Ana knows it as well; she'll be hurt once Cassandra regains her memories," Anthony's mother said with a teary-eyed.
"Don't worry, mother; as long as she continues to take her medicine, she will not recover her memories," He replied, confidently.
"What do you mean? Did you change her prescribed medicine? But why did you do that? "
Mom, we both know why I did that, so stop minding my business now. Just sit here and relax. You don't need to worry because I will take care of her and everything. Maybe next month we will migrate here to New York for good. I don't want her to meet Edward, I don't want them to end up seeing each other once again not this time that she's already mine. That man will just be going to ruin my plan," he said as his mother remained silent but still concerned about his son's plan.
"How did you become like this, Anthony? This kind of love is selfish. This is not my son that I raise so well," his mother thought to herself as she watched her son start doing some paperwork.

"Mark, what's the news? Have you found her now?" Edward inquired hastily.
"Sorry, Edward, my men didn't find her; there are no traces of her," Mark said with sadness on his face.
"F*ck!! All of you are useless!! Tell your men to look for her in other places; maybe she's just in different countries," Edward grumbled. Mark knows that it will be his reaction. He then takes a deep breath and called his men once again and ordered them to search Cassandra once more before he left Edward alone. Mark knows that he needs some space, leaving him alone might help him to think properly.
Mark was about to leave when a little girl called his name.
He sighed as he held her innocent face and gazed at her. He was concerned about his niece.
"Akia, I'm not sure where your mom is, but I swear she'll be back soon. So, go upstairs now and watch a cartoon movie since Uncle needs to go home now, okay? " He said.
"Okay, uncle," the young girl nodded and ran upstairs. He disliked lying to her, but he had no choice. He felt sorry for her.

Anastasia was bored at their house and had been laying in bed for hours. She was about to fall asleep earlier, but her mind kept swarming with her curiosity about her accidents. She then quickly stood up after looking at the wall clock. "F*ck, it's already 6 p.m.," she grumbled as she dashed downstairs to prepare her dinner.
The house is quiet without the kids. She then walks to the refrigerator and opens it as her eyes widened.
"Oh, holy sh*t. I forgot to tell Nana Soling to buy some groceries," she said With a frown, he said. "But maybe it's not so bad if I'm the only one going to buy some groceries; after all, as far as I remember, the last time we went out with my husband, there was a grocery store nearby our house," she thought to herself before taking a look around. "Well, my husband isn't here, and I'm alone now, so I guess he won't know about this if I go out without his permission," she smirked, contemplating her plan.
So he dashed out the door to the nearest grocery store he knew and purchased what they would need at home.
"Wait, something is missing from my list," she muttered, think what it is.
"Oh, yes I remember I need some ketchup too, potatoes and ham," she said to herself as she slowly pushed the shopping cart when she was interrupted by someone.
"Cassandra??"
