Chapter 50: Losing hope
"Oh, yes I remember I need some ketchup, potatoes, and ham," she said to herself as she slowly pushed the shopping cart to the right corner when she was interrupted by someone.
"Cassandra??" A woman said as she was shocked to see her.
"I'm sorry. Who are you? and my name is Anastasia, not Cassandra," she said.
"Oh yeah, I'm sorry. I thought you were her. It's just that you really look like her," the woman said before leaving her alone.
"Cassandra? sounds familiar," Anastasia muttered as she shrugged her shoulders and picked up the tomato ketchup and the other things she wants to buy. After that, she then went home.

She went upstairs to check her phone after she finished her dinner. She discovered it had 110 missed calls and over 200 messages from Anthony. She became nervous since it was the first time he had called her in this manner. She then opens and reads the messages. Anthony was questioning where she was and why she hadn't answered his call earlier but her phone abruptly rang, and she answered it nervously.
"H-Hello, hon—"
"Where did you go?" Anthony inquired as his voice raspy.
"What do you mean, honey? I'm just here, at home," she shrugged.
"Really? Are you sure?" Anthony asked once again, making sure that Anastasia was telling the truth.
"Y-Yes, and why are you asking me like that?" she asked, feeling as if he had any idea that she went outside.
"Because I can tell when you are lying or not, honey, so tell me where did you go earlier?"
Anastasia swallowed subtly.
"Speak up, honey," Anthony demanded.
"I'm sorry, I went outside but it was just in the grocery store, I swear I just only bought some food and groceries and I didn't take long, I went home right away after that," she explains.
"Didn't I tell you that you are not allowed to go outside, especially without me?" Anthony urged, his voice deep, as he was trying to control his temper and not be so angry.
"But honey, I only buy groceries; are you telling me that it's okay for me to get hungry? Because you got mad just because of that, "she scowled.
"You know what? you're too much now. You are overreacting for nothing," she continues, taking a deep breath.
"I don't know why you are so afraid of me going outside. For God's sake, Anthony, I'm not a kid anymore. I know I just had amnesia, but it didn't make me stupid enough for doing something that I can't handle and it's not a valid reason for not letting me do what I wanted," she screamed angrily. Anastasia felt suffocated by him because Anthony had been always controlling her life from the beginning when she woke up without memories from that accident.
She didn't know anymore if she was his wife or a prisoner.
"Honey, listen. I'm sorry, okay? I'm just worried about your health, especially since you have been complaining about your head aching," Anthony tried to explain to her.
"I know you're just concerned about me, but honey, you are treating me like I'm a f*cking prisoner, not a wife," she said as she rolled her eyes.
"OK, I'm sorry; would you like to go outside?"
"Of course, honey," she replied immediately.
"All right, I'll let you go outside, but on one condition we are going to move here to New York City next month, is that okay with you?" Anthony asked.
"Yeah but why is it so sudden?" she wondered. "I think it's better if we're in the Philippines."
"No, honey, besides it's better to migrate here at least we're all together if we are here," Anthony said.
"Not like this. I'm far from you because of some business meeting for the company, and I can't stop missing you and the kids," he added.
"And I miss you as well, and I'm sorry for what I did," Anastasia said.
"It's okay, honey; just don't do it again or ask my permission first because you have no idea how worried I am about you."
"I know, I'm sorry," she admitted, feeling guilty.
Everything was fine after that because they quickly resolved their quarrel. Anastasia let him win because she realized something was going wrong. She was curious about why he was afraid of letting her go outside without him and migrating to New York all of a sudden. She was also curious about her lost memories. She wanted to know more about herself and her past, what kind of wife she was, and how Anthony and she became a couple. She wanted to remember everything, but she feels like Anthony doesn't care about her lost memories. "I'm sorry, Anthony," she said to herself before taking a deep breath. "But I had a feeling you were hiding something from me, and I want to know what it is."

"Are you certain it was that woman?"
Sofie exclaimed angrily, "I don't know, Kath, but they have the same face and voice, and I know it because I can't forget that b*tch face who stole my man."
"Relax okay? but, according to you, she didn't know you. Maybe you are just tired, Sofie, and you end up hallucinating. We both know that she died five years ago, and you don't need to worry about that anymore; what you should be worried about is how are you going to be Edward's new wife," Kath smirked.
"Yeah, you're right, that's my priority. Forget about that woman, she's already dead; I shouldn't be bothered about her," Sofie said before sipping her wine.
"So, what's your plan?" Kath asked excitedly.
"I don't know yet, especially since Edward is still mad at me ever since he knows that I was just faking my pregnancy at that time," Sofie said, frustrated as Kath tapped her back to comfort her.
Sofie then mutters enraged, "He's blaming me for everything because of that b*tch," as she tightens her grip before taking another sip of her wine.
"But I'm sorry. I'm not going to give up on him since that b*tch is already gone; he should be mine now, and I'll make sure that I'm going to win this time."
