Close to the truth
In the early morning, or four hours after that, the team of doctors finally agreed to send Arthur for treatment abroad. The team of doctors was convinced, even the German specialist doctor called directly and explained Arthur's condition which he had been observing all this time. They came to a mutual agreement.
Arthur was pushed out on a wheeled gurney. Livy followed behind and saw that the sleeping Arthur looked calm and didn't understand his surroundings.
She was relieved to see him still breathing in the oxygen mask.
They drove Arthur to the airport where a private plane had been chartered and several people were ready for departure, even two doctors were on the way.
"You're really not coming?" Evander's voice rose and sank in the wind that blew at the airfield.
Dave's hair swayed in the wind, he held it in annoyance. "Don't worry. I'll catch up as soon as I'm done with my business."
Evander wasn't worried about the business, but worried about how Dave would work it out.
"Don't be too hard on him." He said.
"I'm not going to kill him anyway." Dave grinned.
Then he glanced at Livy and smiled. Livy, who still remembered how Dave shouted at her, immediately looked down nervously. Dave understood this attitude.
He sighed. "Sister-in-law, take care of the boss for me, ok?"
Without hearing her answer, Dave got into the car and several people followed him inside. Two cars immediately drove away from the airfield. After everyone was also logged in and ready, the private plane took off.
Outside, Dave stopped the car and pulled up to the side of the road. Watching the plane slowly ascend.
"Little boss, the plane has taxied!" Kibe exclaimed.
"I've seen it, you fool! Come on! We also have unfinished business." Dave fastened his seatbelt, started the car engine on the street. "Where's that bastard?"
"At the club, Boss. Just came out."
Dave went to the night club in question, immediately confronted a red luxury car in the middle of the road and circled it without gaps.
"Hey, little handsome brother. Come on, get out. We have something to talk about!" Dave got out of the car while stretching.
His troops came out too, all of them wearing black shirts, big bodies, batons in each hand.
Matthew, who was very drunk, saw scary people confronting him, his drunkenness immediately disappeared and he was confused.
He came out casually, and a punch immediately landed on his arm.

In the afternoon, Luther got two bad news at once and he was hit by a complicated feeling. First about Arthur who just disappeared and Matthew who was beaten by thugs when he came home from drinking at the club.
"Who did it? Was it an enemy of the company?" Luther asked the assistant standing in front of his desk.
"I'm not sure, sir. They look like a bunch of thugs." The young male assistant replied.
Luther slapped the table. "So you're saying it's a random attack? I don't believe it. Find out who those thugs are! They must be the orders of someone who wants to destroy my name."
"Understood, sir."
"One more thing. Don't let word about Matthew get out."
"Yes."
Luther clenched his fists. He tried to think of who might be trying to take him down by attacking Matthew, but he found no clues. When he looked up, he saw the assistant still standing in front of him, looking doubtful.
"Anything else you want to talk about? Why are you still here?! Go!" Luther was angry.
The assistant handed the envelope he had brought to the table. Before he could say anything, Luther grabbed it and read it.
"What's this?"
The paper was thrown.
"That ... Young Master Arthur has resigned from the company," the assistant replied.
Luther stood up and looked even more angry. "What kind of nonsense is this? That kid really likes to make trouble. Just now he messed up Matthew's inauguration and took his shares back, now he's resigned again! Does he think this company is his toy?"
The shares in question are 80 percent of the company's shares which previously belonged to Arthur. At the inauguration, Arthur agreed to transfer all of the shares to Matthew, but then he canceled. Then all of a sudden he resigned with no word on how the stock had ended.
"Do you know where he went?"
"I don't know, sir. We've investigated, but there's no trace of the young master." The assistant shook his head.
Luther scoffed. "He must have gone into hiding with those shares to destroy me. So, this is the moment he's been waiting for, right?"
"..."
"Barry, you find out Arthur's whereabouts first. Then investigate who the thugs attacked Matthew. Maybe this is related."
Barry nodded. "Yes sir."
"I want good news tonight."
The next half hour, Luther continued to have online meetings with company officials to discuss the continuation of the problem. The officials were confused because there was no leader in the company and asked Luther to make a decision. He had even heard that Arthur's assistant, who was usually up-to-date with all the work, had also suddenly resigned.
"Assistant? Who?"
"His name is Evander Zamiel. Usually he fills in for CEO when there are company matters, and he also often goes to meetings. I just realized this, that some of the big meetings, this young man often becomes the spokesperson if by chance our CEO is not present." One of the finance directors explained.
"He is very capable and shrewd. Even when there is a problem, we can directly report to him and he can solve it himself."
Luther had never heard of this assistant and he didn't care either. As everyone was saying about all the work of this unknown assistant, Luther guessed that some good work seemed to be done by this assistant.
"Why did he resign?" he asked.
"He said it's boring to work with the old fools here, he's tired and wants a vacation."
Luther frowned. "You joke with me?!"
"N-No, sir. That's what Evander said when he resigned."
"What's his name again?" Luther asked.
"His name is Evander Zamiel."
After hearing the answer, Luther hung up the video call.
"Evander Zamiel ... Huh? Zamiel?"
Why is this name familiar?
Luther decided to get out of his study because he felt annoyed. He had previously asked his wife to see Matthew first in the hospital. Now he will go there to see for himself.
Arrived at the hospital. He saw his wife crying on the chair. As soon as she saw him, his wife immediately approached him in a panic.
"What is it?" Luther panicked.
"D-Doctors said he needed surgery. Fractured his leg and arm. They said he should put a pen or something in the bone. I don't know. I was so scared." Nancy immediately sobbed.
"Then do the surgery. I'll talk to the doctor."
After the surgery which took several hours it was finished. Matthew was sent to the treatment ward where he finally woke up from the anesthetic.
Luther looked at his son's battered face with anger. Apart from the scars on his face, even his hands and feet were covered in thick bandages and casts, almost like a mummy. Luckily the surgery went well and there were no other serious injuries. It didn't even hit his head.
"M-Mom ..." Matthew whispered weakly. "W-Why can't I move my arms and legs?"
"Mommy is here, sweetheart. It's okay. You just had surgery, that's normal." Nancy sat beside Matthew worriedly.
Matthew nodded his head weakly, looked at Luther and called out, "Father ..."
Luther gritted his teeth. "How do you feel? Who did this? Do you have any enemies?"
Even though it was too soon to ask this now, Luther couldn't help himself anymore. If this was really the doing of his enemy, he really had to act.
"E-Enemy? What enemy, Father? I have no enemies." Matthew haltedly said.
"..."
"If it exists, it must only be brother. It is brother who is hostile to me."
Luther frowned.
"You mean Arthur?" Nancy finally said angrily. "Is that kid really doing this? Why does he keep bothering us?!"
Matthew gritted his teeth while laughing lightly. "Who else hates me, Mom. He ... he must be the one who sent those people to kill me. He really hates me."
Luther looked at him doubtfully. "Did you hear the thugs say his name?"
"Even if they don't name that son of yours, can we not be sure that he is the culprit? He hates us so much because of his mother's death in the past. I'm sure he will get his revenge sooner or later!" Nancy gasped for breath. "Honey, you have to act this time. You have to give him a warning! No! It can't be just a warning! He has hurt our Matthew, he has to feel the same way! Send him to the police!"
Luther ignored her, still staring at Matthew.
Seeing that his father was still demanding the continuation of his story, Matthew said, "They didn't mention brother's name, but I'm sure they were someone sent by brother."
"I also believe that kid dares to do this?! He is so cunning!"
"Nancy, shut up!" Luther said sharply.
Nancy immediately silent fear.
"Father, don't blame mom. It's my fault, I was the one who made brother angry. I heard that he was going abroad, so I tried to prevent him." Matthew showed a gloomy face. "Because I couldn't persuade him, I came to my sister-in-law and this made my brother angry with me."
Luther's eyes narrowed. "Abroad? For what?"
Matthew shook his head. "Brother took back the company that would fall to me, I thought he would still be here to take care of it. I also don't know why he decided to go abroad."
Matthew coughed a little because his throat was dry. Nancy gave him water.
Then he continued, "I went to my brother to persuade him not to go, but instead he threatened me to sell the company's shares."
"See! He's been like this and you're still keeping him at home? Did you think I was just making this up all this time? He hates us so much." Nancy really couldn't stand it and wanted to go to Arthur and beat him up. "He's also cunning! We should have kicked him out in the first place!"
Luther clenched his fists.
If this is really related, then what Matthew said is true. Chances are Arthur is going abroad to offer his shares.
"Which country did he go to?" asked Luther.
Matthew shook his head. "I ... don't know."
Even though he knew Arthur was going overseas for medical reasons, he really didn't know which country he was going to. It was as if someone had covered up this information so he couldn't find out.
Luther didn't say anything more, he stormed out in a fit of rage. Immediately took out his phone.
"Barry, what did you get?" Luther didn't mince words.
"Sir, I'm sorry, I can't trace the young master's whereabouts at all. The information is private." Barry answered, then explained, "I tried checking the whole place even through the identity data, but there's no recent activity."
"He's going overseas. Search all arrival airports in other countries. Find where he might land!"
"..."
"Why are you silent? Do you understand what I mean?!" Luther raised his voice.
Barry in a calm voice said, "Sir, I seem to feel that something is off. Every time I try to find information about the young master, it's as if the information is tightly closed, we can't access it carelessly, it's like someone is trying to hide it. But this kind of thing could only be done by someone with power.”
"What do you mean?"
"Sir, could it be that there was someone who helped young master escape and that person was extremely powerfull?"
Immediately one name came to Luther's mind. He said hurriedly, "Investigate about Evander Zamiel for me."
"Sorry?"
"Inquire about Evander Zamiel's background, and give me the information right away."
Luther hung up.
... to be continued ...
