Hidden revenge
"Come on, Boss, you act cold as soon as you see me. Don't you miss me?" Dave sulked at Arthur's unfriendly look.
"I've heard it all from Evan."
Dave's expression changed at this sentence. He sighed and plopped down on the couch.
When Arthur mentioned this, Dave seemed to know what he meant.
"You know how sneaky that bastard is? Can I just stay quiet?" he said defensively.
But Arthur's voice was still cold, "You harmed Matthew. I didn't ask you to do that."
"Then I have to let him harm you?" Dave's voice rose. "You saw how he hurt sister-in-law, I couldn't bear to teach him a lesson! It's up to you! Everything has already happened! You want to punish me, then punish me."
Dave got very upset.
Kibe and several people who joined Dave entered, still standing in a tense atmosphere and looking worried.
"Boss, don't be angry with little boss. We were the ones who provoked little boss' anger at that time, we were all the ones who persuaded him to avenge your half-brother. Blame it on us," Kibe said to Arthur.
All of Dave's men who were there agreed.
Arthur didn't look at them at all.
The one who wasn't in a tense mood, Evander, calmly drank the apple juice from the bottle he brought with him. When he finished, he quipped bluntly, "I told you not to be hard on him."
Dave was triggered. "Hey, don't you think you didn't do anything! You got people to instigate that bastard Matthew into selling Luther's company property, right?"
Evander choked.
Arthur had had enough of all this, without saying anything else, he got up, headed to another room. He left everyone with a guilty expression and thoughts.
"Anyway, Evan, why did you fvcking tell him everything? Damn it!" Dave snorted.
Evander shrugged calmly. "I accidentally let slip. Besides, without us telling him, he'll find out sooner or later. Matthew is disabled right now, he'll definitely have someone investigate why."
"But I didn't kill him. You know how much I wanted to kill him, right? I've been holding back so far."
Kibe massaged Dave's shoulders from behind the sofa. "Then what should we do, Second Boss, Little Boss?"
"What else? Awaiting our punishment of course." Evander chuckled dryly.
In his room, Arthur stood by the window, watching rainbow-colored butterflies fly across the potted blooms. They were very beautiful, but could not calm his broken feelings.
It had been a long time, since he had abandoned the intent of revenge for his father and stepmother. Now that things had turned out like this, he was afraid that something bad might happen in the future.
Granted, this isn't entirely Dave's fault. As long as Arthur had known this man, Dave was indeed an impulsive and reckless man. Dave can do anything he doesn't like on the spot, he doesn't care if those things affect his future, he acts on instinct. That's not a bad thing actually.
It's just that Arthur didn't know that Dave will cripple Matthew. Even though at this time his half-brother seemed to be able to move normally, but because of the attack he received, he had broken bones in his legs and arms. So for his recovery, he had to put pens on the two bones.
For a famous model like him, it was a heavy blow.
Six months has passed, Arthur was blind about this. Because he felt safe with Livy by his side, he really didn't witness the outside world. Little did he know that in months, so many things had happened. Whether it was the news that Matthew was injured, or his father's company that was almost bankrupt, he even heard rumors that his father had divorced his stepmother.
He had missed a lot.
For the next hour, he kept thinking about this in his room. Silent and quiet without any disturbance. As soon as he intended to contact Livy, the door was knocked.
"Come in," he said.
Evander entered without a sound on his footsteps. He sat down on one of the sofas. Said nothing.
Arthur finally looked at him. "Where are they?"
"Setting up your things," Evander replied. Arthur's attention returned to the flower garden, discreetly squeezing the iron bars on the windows.
"I don't completely blame you and Dave. If I were in the same position as you guys, maybe I would too."
"I know."
"I'm just afraid that Matthew has a grudge because we destroyed his only dream. I never intended to do that." Arthur's voice dropped.
"I know." Evander sighed, then continued, "What's your plan?"
Arthur walked over to the bed and sat down before asking back, "Did you know where Matthew and his mother were?"
Evander shook his head.
"Matthew selling the company property wasn't such a big deal so my father had to divorce the woman. Do you think there was any other reason?"
Actually Evander has also investigated this. In the past Luther's company had also fallen and even worse from this problem, but the old man still looked calm and confident to rebuild it. It's just that ever since this problem existed, it seems that men have lost faith and have not forgiven Matthew at all.
Not forgiving Matthew is another thing, but divorcing his wife?
"You want me to investigate this?" asked Evander again.
"Please. There may be something we missed."
Something that was missed? Evander thought about it, but found no answer.
Then he remembered one thing happened and said, "I remember several times Luther came to your residence to meet you. He insisted on getting your location, but the guards kept his mouth shut nicely."
"He wants to see me?"
Arthur also realized that while he was in Germany, he wasn't getting into any trouble or anything. He really lived quietly as if he had no enemies out there. Didn't his father know that he was abroad?
But with Evander's power erasing his traces, it might be possible. Even his father may not know that he has made a full recovery.
"Did my father say something?" he asked again.
Evander shook his head. "He just insisted on seeing you. He came back several times. Out of frustration, I ordered a family to live there as if they were buying your house. Since then, he hasn't come back."
"When?"
"Since four months ago."
That's enough time to complete the divorce proceedings.
Because the whereabouts of Matthew and his mother were unknown, Arthur was afraid that unwanted things will happen. If they knew he had returned to this country, while their revenge intent was still there, that meant, he couldn't sit idly by.
Previously, he had promised to release Livy from the guards, it seemed he was forced to need them again.
"Help me prepare some bodyguards for Livy."
"I've prepared it," Evander said calmly.

Arthur's prediction of the revenge hidden from his eyes, did exist. At least there is some intention hidden behind the darkness. Even though he managed to cover it up well, his return was news that could be heard.
"Your hunch seems right. That son of a bitch went overseas to recuperate. Does that mean it's hard for us to get into your father's life again?"
Nancy bit her lips anxiously. In a simple room, she didn't wear expensive jewelry, her clothes looked cheap. The walls of the room she was leaning against were not displayed with expensive paintings, nor was the floor carpeted with tapestry. Instead of the walls turning yellow because of old age, the floors were dirty and dusty, becoming a crowded sight.
Matthew tapped his walking cane. "Before he intended to do it, I thought I almost succeeded. Turns out his people are more cunning than me."
"Matthew, son, you should wake up. If you didn't sell the company property to the enemy, would we be living like this now? How are we different from beggars?"
"I told you I was framed! Don't you understand what I'm saying?!" Matthew raised his cane, in annoyance nearly hitting his own mother.
Nancy was so frightened that she immediately protected herself. "Ok. Ok. I'm sorry, honey. I'm sorry."
In this world, Nancy only has her child. She couldn't possibly return to her hometown in a poor state, she could be ridiculed. Her only survival is working with Matthew.
"Then what's your plan?"
Matthew bit his nails until the tips snapped, his eyes twitching. "I wanted to know how father knew we faked the DNA test. Did Arthur finally take action? No. No."
"What if that damn man did it? He could have gotten someone to attack you, he could have told your father the truth too."
"No. No way." Matthew still wasn't convinced.
Even though he couldn't know all of Arthur's secrets, he knew that Arthur didn't want to return to Luther at all. About the fake DNA test, Luther couldn't have known from Arthur.
"What's impossible? He's cunning! He could do it on purpose! He wants to destroy us!"
"Shut up, Mom! Shut up! Shut up!"
Nancy's hand reflexively protected her head from being hit.
Matthew panted with anger and frustration. He sat back down, threw his cane at his mother's leg, and let out a rough breath.
"Damn Luther! He's ditching me now and going to beg that bastard, right? Fvck!"

"Eh? Dinner at your new house?" Sarah asked confused.
Livy nodded. "Me and Arthur bought a new house. It's so close to college. Even though it's small, there are lots of rooms, you can stay overnight. How's that?"
Sarah stared at her in disbelief. "Didn't you say you just landed a few hours ago? Why aren't you tired at all?"
"I'm used to being busy taking care of many things while caring for Arthur, so it's as if I'm back to my old routine. Not tired at all."
"But you are pregnant now." Sarah shook her head in disbelief.
"I heard my brother and some people are already there." Amara joined in.
Sarah was shocked. "So this isn't just the four of us having dinner?"
Suddenly Sarah shuddered. She was still uncomfortable around Evander because she felt from the start that he was not friendly at all. Moreover, their last meeting where he forced Sarah to tell Livy's whereabouts, even though Sarah didn't know at all.
The man was very scary behind his diligent and smart look.
"Arthur did invite some of his men to clean up. It's going to be crowded!" Livy was smiling.
This still did not calm Sarah.
"That's ... can I not come?" She said.
"No way! It wouldn't be any fun without you. Come on!" Livy pulled Sarah's hand. "My driver will arrive in a moment."
"But ..."
"Come on, Sarah. We're both single, so I wasn't going to leave you there alone. How was it?" Amara said. Only then did Sarah feel a little relieved.
Actually she doesn't like hanging out with lots of strangers, but if she can't be separated from Amara, everything will be fine.
"That's my car." Livy exclaimed.
Livy and Amara immediately pulled Sarah to the car. The three immediately headed to Livy's new residence. And sure enough, the house looks a lot simpler than Arthur's house before. Also, this house is located in a mid-level commercial area. The atmosphere is beautiful and there are many houses on the side and opposite. Even every house here doesn't have a fence.
The three of them went straight into the courtyard from the small door on the side. Sarah's eyes were immediately spoiled by the large pots and the arrangement of raw meat on the table. Not only meat, there were processed seafood, liquor, wine, also vegetables and fruit. It's all complete as if there was a big party.
"Arthur was there." Livy looked at the second floor balcony with a big smile, waving at the man in question.
Arthur smiled back and waved. Without saying goodbye, Livy went to dart inside.
"Look at that! When she saw her husband, she immediately forgot us." Sarah snorted.
Amara responded with a chuckle. "You'll understand when you have a husband someday, Sarah. Just bide your time."
"Hopefully my husband will be handsome and rich too." Sarah imagined a prince in her head.
Amara shook her head. She headed inside the room as well, remembering that her brother had asked her to help Livy with the personal belongings inside. At that moment, she thought Sarah was following her, so she just walked on without looking back.
In fact, Sarah was still in her imagination with her imaginary handsome prince. Then her eyes fell on the gazebo hung with small colorful lights. In the middle of the night, the gazebo will definitely be beautiful and stunning. Sitting alone with your partner there, while having a candy light dinner, it's like in romantic movies.
"Ouch!"
Suddenly she bumped into someone, her nose seemed to hit someone's chest hard and it hurt.
"I'm sorry. I'm sor—eh? Why am I sorry? If I walk and don't look around, whoever bumped into me should be the one apologizing, right?" Sarah rubbed her nose, annoyed.
A male voice cleared his throat in front of her.
Sarah immediately looked up. She saw a man in a maroon shirt. The man is handsome, tall, neat, bespectacled and looks educated. Not the typical Sarah's ideal man, but handsome nonetheless. When she heard a second cough, she came to her senses. She even flinched realizing that the handsome man was Evander.
If it was this handsome man, Sarah would back down!
"Are you shameless, Miss? It was you who bumped into me, but your words seem to blame me." Evander pushed up his glasses in a determined motion.
Sarah stuttered frantically, ran screaming, nearly tripped.
"I don't know you. I don't know you."
She screamed.
"Amara?! Where's Amara? Huwaaaa. There's a pervert uncle who wants to take me out! Help!!!"
Evander's forehead twitched.
