Chapitre 20
"Here, put this on," Eros said, handing me his huge cloak.
Without hesitation, I followed his lead as we continued through the mountain. My hand was tight in his. No matter what I did, I couldn't calm my heart. My chest fluttered at the thought of what Eros would show me...
And what I wanted to say to him.
It grew colder around us as we neared the exit. I snuggled up against the huge werewolf beside me. Everything in me felt free and big next to Eros. Together we stepped into the Nordic winter night.
My breath caught at the sight unfolding before us.
Green aurora lit up the night sky like watercolors running down an invisible wall. In some places, pink mixed in.
We stood a few meters from the shore. Beyond was nothing but black-blue water reflecting the colors of the lights.
The infinite sea.
Very softly it rocked back and forth and splashed into the indefinite future, without fear...
"Eros, that's beautiful," I breathed. The cloud of fog vanished as quickly as it had come.
"Yes, it is," he replied, but when I looked up at him his eyes were on me.
A warm tingle went through every cell in my body. The northern lights reflected in his eyes. A fine mist erupted between my lips.
It was like an invisible bond was binding us together. There was no one I would rather share everything with than Eros. He was everything I wasn't: strong, responsible and serious.
And yet it was like two magnets that couldn't be more different. They got dressed and could not be separated by anything.
My heart thundered in my chest. It wanted me to finally say how I felt about him.
I swallowed.
Eros held my hands to his chest and I looked into his eyes. A shock went through all my muscles.
He felt the same way.
He couldn't do anything about the attraction either. He too had resigned himself to it and what was more: he even wanted it.
"Eros-"
He put a finger to my lips as if to silence me.
"Ephilia, you are the most stubborn and stubborn creature I have ever known," he said.
My heart sank and a huge spark of doubt ignited in my heart? Was I wrong? I wanted to pull my hands out of his grip, but he wasn't done yet.
"And I've never met anyone as spontaneous, carefree and beautiful as you. You alone have the ability to make even my wolf seem like a tame dog. I think you know what I'm getting at."
My breath caught in my chest as I tried to process his words, which ran down the back of my neck like a hot shower.
"Ephilia, I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you and start a family and I want to grow old with you because I know you'll keep me going. Damn, I love you and I will always protect you."
I hadn't noticed the cool tears running down my cheeks. Only Eros was so close to me that his words could touch me like that. I wiped them from my cheeks and tried to find my voice again.
“Eros, you are the most confident, stubborn, and strong werewolf I know; But with you I feel safe In your arms is the only place on earth I can turn my head off. I want to get better for you. Even if you don't show it, you're the best alpha I know. Not just because you saved my life, but also because you're doing what's best for your pack. I love you Eros and I trust you."
My voice trailed off as a sob ripped through my body. Eros was there immediately, holding me in his strong arms.
"Why are you crying?" he asked desperately.
"For joy," I sobbed.
We still had a long way to go. We both knew that. But I wasn't afraid as long as Eros was beside me.
I looked into his eyes, lit up by the aurora above us. They held me captive with their hypnotic expression. With no other living being in this world have I ever been or would be so connected as with Eros.
He knew what I wanted.
He leaned down and caught my lips in a kiss. He lifted me up passionately and I let the emotions roll over my body. I wrapped my legs around him as his arms slid down my side. A tremor ran through my muscles.
Eros immediately broke away and looked at me. Consternation and lust mingled in his expression.
"You are cold."
I shook my head, unable to explain that it wasn't the freezing air that was causing the shaking.
"Ephilia, I want us to swear an oath," he said. "From now on, we will always tell each other the truth, no matter how painful, embarrassing, or scary it may be."
I just nodded while trying to regain my voice.
"I swear," I breathed.
Instantly, Ero's eyes slid back to my lips.
"Damn, how much I love you," he whispered, and kissed me hard again.
Only when it got warmer around us did I realize that Eros had gone back into the mountain with me in his arms.
No more blood flowed through my veins, only desire for him. I couldn't stop it. I didn't want to slow it down.
With his back, Eros pushed the curtain aside and a second later I was lying on the bed with him over me. He unbuttoned the coat under which I wore the airy floral dress.
My breathing was quickened, trying to catch up with my racing heart. Eros felt the same way. His rapid breathing mingled with mine.
Everywhere he touched me a hot path ran over my skin and I had to suppress a satisfied sigh. I felt his eyes run over my body.
He removed his shirt and a surge of confidence electrified my body. I turned sideways so that Eros was beneath me. A playful grin lay on his lips, which had just kissed me.
He let me do it.
I sat on him, but that didn't seem to bother him. I ran my fingers over his strong muscles, casting shadows. His chest rose and fell in rapid rhythm.
Suddenly a growl vibrated through his body and before I could react he had turned us around again. I held onto his strong upper arms as he laid us on the bed.
Eros rested between my legs and lowered himself towards me. A new kiss ignited between us. My stomach clenched at the unfamiliar sensation of his touch. Despite the airy dress, my body was as hot as magma. My cheeks burned with an unfulfilled desire for more.
Now and then he lifted his head to annoy me. I pushed myself towards him and ran my fingertips down the back of his neck.
"You're the first and only man allowed to touch me like this," I breathed as I felt his possessive hold on me.
He raised his head one last time. My words seemed to have struck a chord. He shone in the light that shimmered around us.
"You're the only one for me," he whispered. There was so much emotion in Ero's voice that I hugged him to me.
I knew what he wanted.
I knew what I wanted.
I nodded imperceptibly.
Nothing stood between us anymore.
THURSDAY OF THE 9TH MOON COUNT:
Everything was calm. Everything was warm.
I lay on Eros with my eyes still closed. I enjoyed the peace and the feeling of his closeness. He kept stroking my hair with his hands.
I didn't know how long I had slept or how long we had been up yesterday. My cheeks flushed at the thought of yesterday.
I slowly opened my eyes. The floral dress lay forgotten by the bed. I groaned and looked up at Eros. A smile blossomed on my face.
He was watching me, still stroking my strands. I just wanted to snuggle up against his chest again and enjoy the time we could spend alone.
"Do you know how beautiful you look when you're still asleep?" he asked.
I buried my face in the sheets, embarrassed. Suddenly I felt a slight pain in my lower abdomen.
"Eros," I whined, but he just eyed me in amusement.
He planted a quick kiss on my forehead before untangling us and standing. I lay and watched him.
"As much as I'd like to stay here with you longer, we have to get back to the pack."
I sighed and nodded.
Eros was still the alpha. The break had done us both good in more ways than one. Now it was time to get back to reality. I held out my arms to him and he lifted me off the bed with no problem.
"You can keep the dress, a parting gift from Ilya," he said casually while buttoning his shirt.
"Do you still have my holy water?" I asked while doing the same.
"Of course," Eros replied, pulling it out of his coat pocket.
The turquoise water sparkled in the light and gave me security.
Created from water, purified with water.
You could definitely use it to heal wounds.
Eros stopped in front of me and buttoned his coat all the way to the top. I let him do it and instead focused on his beautiful eyes.
"I love you," I said without thinking.
It felt as natural as breathing. The words immediately caught his attention. Eros leaned down and brushed my lips.
"You too."
A dreamy smile crossed my face.
I was in love.
The world was perfect, at least at that moment.
