Chapter fifty one

"The committee of elders is planning my coronation,'' Drew said.

It was over a week since he had come back from his trip to Paris. He and his mate were at the breakfast table when he got the message through the mind link the elders sent around. Drew was a bit surprised that it was this soon but he knew the reason behind the urgency. Jed and his men were advancing and the earlier they crowned him as King of the entire five packs, the better for him.

Drew couldn't afford for anything to go wrong in the state, especially since he had gotten word that the government hunters were planning a search of all things they perceived not to be human. Drew wasn't bothered about this because he knew he could easily make his way out of it. What he was bothered about was the coronation and what it could mean for the entire kingdom.

He knew he was the rightful heir to the throne but there were still some people within his cabinet whom the Moon goddess had warned against that didn't want to see him on the throne, those were the people Drew was worried about. He just needed to pass through one more screening and then, the throne would be his.

He didn't have any doubt in his heart that this set of people will one way or the other try to destroy what he had already built. He could never live with that if, in the end, it came to it.

"Drew!'' Laura snapped.

Drew sighed, taking her hands in his. He could see the worry etched in her eyes and he knew he had scared her.

"I'm sorry, I just got carried away for a bit,'' he said.

"It's okay, it happens sometimes. You had me worried especially since I've been calling you for minutes.'' Laura said.

"I just have a lot on my mind.''

"Then share it with me. I'm your mate and I deserve to know what's going on.'' Laura said.

"Trust me, you don't need to bother yourself about it,'' Drew said.

"If it's about the coronation, everything would be fine. I've had a vision about it and the only threats you would be getting is going to be minimal and they would be from Jed.'' Laura said.

It was in times like this that Drew was grateful for her magic. The ability to see the future was one gift he wished he had but he was glad that the moon goddess blessed him with someone who was bestowed with the gift.

"I love you, you know that right,'' Drew said.

He lifted her from her seat without a second thought as he placed her on his lap. Drew nozzled into her neck as a child would and he was glad to find the comfort and warmth he needed.

"You're in heat.'' Drew smiled.

He could practically smell her arousal and he knew she had been ever since the first moment he walked through the door on his return from Paris.

"Yes, and are you going to do anything about it?" Laura asked.

She ground the heat into his already hard member. She knew he was ready but being the stubborn man he was, he wouldn't easily accept it. He wanted to make her beg for it and Laura was prepared to do that just to ease the longing in her chest.

"You know I can never refuse you,'' Drew growled.

His wolf was prancing within him, happy that they finally had their mate for their pleasure. Drew chuckled within himself as she carried his mate to the set of chairs that would do their bidding.

"You're insatiable.'' Drew laughed

He gripped her waist, tearing her blouse in the process. Laura pouted, that was her best shirt but it was all forgotten the minute Drew placed his lips on her erect nipple. Laura gasped at the heady sensation that filled her body. Drew could be an expert with his tongue and he wasted no time in showing her that.

"Hands-on my shoulders,'' Drew growled.

Laura did that as she watched him pull down her shorts to reveal her soaking wet panties. Drew gripped the panties, shredding them as she tucked them into his back pocket. Now, she was completely bare for him.

"So beautiful, so so beautiful.'' Drew smiled.

He kissed her legs, all the way up in between the valley of her breasts. Laura writhed, trying desperately to bring her hands down but she knew what it could mean.

"Drew, I won't last long.'' Laura gasped.

"Don't you dare,'' Drew growled.

He dove in between her legs, scenting her arousal which rose to the surface. Laura cried out in pleasure as he moved towards a particularly sensitive spot. She couldn't help it as she released her hands. She caressed his back whilst digging her nails into him from the onslaught of pleasure he was giving her.

"Fuck, you're so wet.'' Drew laughed.

Laura smiled as she watched him shed his clothes in record time. She gasped when he entered her without any warning. Coupled with her heat and her wolf's readiness to mate, Laura was over the edge with pleasure.

Drew worked her body just as he had done before as he slowly brought her to the edge. Laura gasped when his fingers found her taut nipples, he flicked them one at a time before bringing one to his mouth. He sucked greedily as he moved swiftly in between her legs.

"All mine.'' he smiled.

"Yes... Yes, Drew I'm all yours.'' she laughed.

They moved as one, testing the waters until they found a safe place. This was their safe place, together with each other. They were two peas in a pod and Drew vowed to protect their pod and what they shared with everything he had.

"Drew, I'm getting close.'' Laura gasped.

"Wait, hold on for me. We'll do it together.'' he smiled.

A few minutes later, they found their release. Laura sighed at the bliss that came with loving the person you adored. Drew was her's and sometimes, she found herself not believing it but he was truly hers.

"Hello mate.'' he smiled.

"Hello to you too.''Laura giggled.

Drew pulled out of her slowly, flipping them sideways so they could lie side by side. He cupped her cheek, placing a gentle kiss on her lips.

"When is this coronation due?" Laura asked.

"The elders say next week but I'm not so certain about the exact date,'' Drew said.

"Okay. You're going to be a very good Alpha Drew, I can see that and I will also try as much as possible to be the best Luna.'' Laura smiled.

She touched his cheek, wondering how a man could be devastatingly handsome even without trying. She knew she was lucky to have someone like him even when other girls were falling for him.

"I think I love that. You're already a perfect mate for me and I'm satisfied with that. Please, don't change it stop being yourself because I love you just the way you are.'' Drew smiled.

Laura chuckled as he pulled her closer to him. She wrapped her legs around him, feeling his erection poke through her thighs. Laura knew there was more to come.
