Running away
Christian was feeling good about himself. He woke up feeling happy. Although he wasn't sure why but something in him was telling him it was a good day
For the first time he didn't have a problem staying with the family. In the past, he would feel annoyed but now, everyone was okay
“Trav, did you make sure the lady's office is set?” Christian asked as soon as he entered his office, Travis nodded and waited for his boss to settle down
“Everything is set sir… madam the new office is set,” Travis informed his boss and Christian smirked even more and sat down in his chair
“Great, then I have nothing to worry about,” he was more than pleased to know his little butterfly accepted the job. For one thing, she was better off working in a conducive environment than in that hellhole called a strip club. As beautiful as she was. Shania deserved a better job
“But sir. Are you certain madam won't go back on her words,” Travis asked hesitantly? They left the mansion an hour ago, Shania had gone out for her morning run. Christian didn't mean to rush her
“Of course… Trav, when was the last time I lost to a woman?” Christian asked shrewdly and tossed his coat away. Travis was even more hesitant to say anything as he shifted from side to side as if searching for an answer,
“Never sir…you've never lost,” he finally replied and Christian grinned as he crossed his legs gracefully. He had never lost a game before. He always got whatever he wanted, either be it a woman
Shania was stubborn, despite how many times he proved to her that she was attracted to him. She still acted like she felt nothing
Christian forgot about Shania when received a few guests and was in a heated meeting. It seemed the news of him calling off a wedding had reached even the people who weren't supposed to know about it,
He was irritated to know some men were bad-mouthing him, the reason the company was going down
“I'm certain someone is doing this,” Christian paced back and forth as soon as the men left. So much for freeing himself from an unwanted marriage, and now he had to smile and do nothing when he was getting insulted
“So tell me, is she here… it's afternoon already,” Christian asked glancing at his wristwatch,
“No sir," Travis replied and Christian turned to look at him immediately. His eyes narrowed into slits as he walked up to Travis,
“What do you mean?” He was already in a bad mood after those lousy men left and hearing Shania didn't come was stepping on his toes
“She didn't come sir…should I…”
“And where is she?” Christian asked angrily, making Travis nervous as he took out his iPad and started scrolling through. The entire time, Christian was venting angrily, he couldn't stand it. Especially when he desired something, and he didn't get it
“At the club sir…that's where she is,” Travis said after a while and Christian frowned. He clarified it, he had the rights over that club. He could fire her if he wanted. If she wanted to play hard to get, then he was just going to force her.

“I don't think so, are you certain?” Shania asked when Danny was busy ordering the men to load in the new furniture they bought for the bar. After making sure Danny was alright and back to work. Shania decided to spend some time at the bar.
“Look baby doll, I need the bar in tippy top shape…that's why I felt a fortune on these babies" Danny replied with a mischievous wink and continued ordering me
“What's up upstairs?” The bar was downstairs, while the strip club was upstairs.
“I still think you should give the girls a raise…what's wrong with you,” she didn't forget how greedy Danny was, for someone successful. He acted like a jerk. Danny didn't answer her, but finished his work when he invited her to his office. Shania took a glass of wine to relax a bit
“I'm not giving anyone a raise…they should work for it,” he had countless employees to manage, and the waitresses and waiters got their extra money from tips. That he didn't even touch. Shania rolled her eyes in annoyance and took a seat
“So Danny will always be greedy…” she said and crossed her legs elegantly. Danny smirked and leaned back in his chair. This was the first time the woman was sparing some time for him
“So tell me, why are you here… I thought Ace gave you a job," he knew as much as he wanted. He heard Shania was offered a job by his step-dad, and she had to work with Ace
“I don't need them, I'm fine here…and I have a proposal for you,” Shania said disdainfully, she only said yes to George because Madeline insisted. Otherwise, she didn't need them
“And what could that be,”
“Let's be partners here,” she suggested and Danny raised a brow at her.
“Ace is my partner…if you want to be on board, then I'll give him a call,” Danny remarked and reach for his phone when Shania stopped him
“I don't want that man close to me… why don't you end your partnership with him…do anything Danny come on,” she was tired of having Christian everywhere. At home, he was always there, at the club. She IA was done and wanted some peace
“It's not as easy as you think, Christian has the money and power as well as publicity… and well, he hasn't done anything wrong to harm the business, ” Danny said, shrugging his shoulders. He was helpless,
“Really?”
“Running away from him won't solve anything… you like him, right?” Danny asked with a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. Shania frowned and placed the glass on the desk and prepared to say something when the door burst open, both Danny and Shania turned to see who it was, and it was Christian. He didn't seem so happy to see them together. Shania could feel anger emitting from Christian as he approached the desk, she averted her eyes from him and focused on Danny. Of course Danny had a grin plastered on his face.
