Genuine feelings
Shania stirred in her sleep, the need to wake up was there. Unfortunately, her eyelids felt heavy. Her body was in pure agony as she tried to move. The cold breeze brushed on her exposed skin making her moan softly, sliding her arms below her head, her yes flickered open, but immediately close them when the brightness of the room blinded her vision
“Ah,” she shifted around until she was lying on her back. Her hands reached for her face and slowly rubbed her eyes. Shortly after, she heard the opening of the door. As if realizing what was happening. Her eyes flew open at once, and she got the surprise of a lifetime,
“Good morning baby,” it was Christian said with a grin and walked up to the bed. Shania was confused as she raised the duvet and looked under and gasped upon finding herself naked
“You!” She pointed at Christian angrily, but he only chuckled and gestured toward the sitting area. Shania followed his gaze and found the table filled with all sorts of dishes, the smell of delicious food lingered in the air. Even so, she averted her eyes from him
“He-he, are you shy now…baby… don't break my heart like this,” Christian chuckled as he sat on the bed and reached for her face. Shania shrugged him off, but he simply held her by the chin
“How did you sleep, like a baby right?” He muttered huskily and tilted her head upwards. Shania managed to shove his hand away and fixed the surrounding sheets
“You are a shameless scoundrel…what's wrong with you…is everything about sex huh” she made a low yell and kicked him, Christian let out a sarcastic laugh and gestured at the nightstand. Shania didn't want to look, but from the corners of her eyes, she saw a glass of water and what looked like pills
“We had unprotected sex last night… you are not on birth control,” he remarked seriously and picked up the cap and handed it to her. Shania scoffed disdainfully. This wasn't the first time he did that. To know this man took advantage of her
“You are a bastard, Christian…don't you have any shame…or any gentleman manners,” she said, glancing at him from the corners of her eyes. Christian would have been offended to receive such insults from someone else. But since it was her. He grinned and leaned forward,
“Not at all… I'm willing to stoop to any level to get you. Including taking you to some male strip club,” he said playfully, for her, he was willing to do anything. Yes, it was a bad idea to let his men do that to his woman. To know he hated sharing, but it was just to make her feel free. They weren't in a relationship, he only let her do that because he knew she wanted it.
Shania was a different girl. She wanted more. She was that girl who would undress in front of men and arouse them. But was afraid of getting intimate,
“We are not together, I can do whatever I want with any man I want” she simply said with an eye roll and slowly rose from the bed. Christian arched his brows suspiciously and watched as she climbed down and adjusted the sheets
“And you think I'll let you" she was being ridiculous, the club had rules. He knew what happened in that club. She decided to go there on her own.
“You are not my brother, not my father and certainly not my lover… I'm allowed to sleep with any man I want,” Shania said and sat on the couch and stared at the food before her. Even if the man who prepared the food was the enemy, she was hungry
“I'm your brother and lover…have you forgotten…ha, the sooner you accept that the better,” Christian followed her and half sat on the armrest, Shania ignored him completely. The food was tasty; hence she minded her own business. Seeing this, Christian chuckled and left from there.
The night was good, he had never felt so good before, Shania took him to places which drove him insane.
“That bastard, oh no,” Shania's facepalmed herself as soon as the door closed. She recalled everything that happened the previous night. Other than the charade of her with those men, it was nothing compared to a very hot night she had with Christian
“Whatever, we are not together…he's a jerk, nothing else,” she muttered while calming her nerves. After a while, she ate her breakfast and decided to take a shower.
When she was done, she wore something simple, white sweatpants with a pink crop shirt and tied her hair in a bun. She picked up her phone and left the room.
It was midmorning, Shania hoped to have a good day relaxing and going shopping later in the evening
“It doesn't matter… I'm sure my ride is ready to go,” she found Christian in the living room talking on the phone. He seemed happy. One thing she hated was how Christian was always happy. She wondered if there was anything which made him sad.
Picking up a magazine from the table, Shania decided to mind her own business perusing through the magazine. Even so, she heard Christian's conversation. He was going to race again, after what she told him. He still wanted to be risk it.
“I'll be there in a few hours…” Christian said and disconnected the call, he was aware of Shania's presence
“What time are you going shopping?” He asked as soon as he turned around. Shania's eyes narrowed, how did he know she was planning to go shopping,
“Why do you want to know? I'm going alone,” She scoffed and cheekily crossed her leg over the other.
“You can go now…since I have a few hours before the car race… I'm volunteering to accompany, you” he remarked while looking at his wristwatch, he glanced up and smiled warmly. Shania didn't like him. Especially when he was trying to be the perfect man
“No”
“Call it a date, we can have lunch at any restaurant of your choice, and we'll do whatever you want,” he was open to following her around, instead of working or hanging out with his friends. He chose to be with her. Shania frowned and slammed the magazine back on the table
“Why are you being nice huh? Christian, I don't need your politeness… just stop it…we all know what your family is all about,” this time she was angry, he was trying hard to be pleasant, and she despised it. Christian didn't understand her sudden outburst.
“Again with this…for the last time quit acting like you don't want me…” he whispered with a frown, he disliked the way she acted all clingy at night but when it was morning, she pretended as if he forced her.
“Why do you hate me?” He asked and advanced close to her. Shania took a step back. Christian wanted answers, the hate she had for him made him worried
“Your father stole her from me…the time she was supposed to take care of her three years old girls…she was babysitting another woman's child… I hate you and your father for this…it's a shame I'm stuck with you,” Shania spat out disdainfully, hatred flashed in her eyes, and it was directed at Christian. At first, he didn't understand a thing she said but soon realized her statement
“It wasn't my fault… I didn't force her…my father did not force her… your mother decided to remarry on her own,” he simply said and averted his eyes from her. If this was why she hated him. Then her hatred was directed at the wrong person
“Oh really?” Shania said sarcastically, “then leave me alone…you don't know what it feels like…you are selfish just like your family… I hate all of you,” she snarled and stormed out of the living room. Christian didn't move from where he was. The previous night, he thought everything would be fine between them. But things were getting worse. Shania hated him because she thought his father stole her mother and married her. Christian knew he needed to work hard to prove her wrong. He had to show her, his feelings were genuine.
