Getting revenge on him

It was heartbreaking to get to the hospital and found Kevin in a bad state, they found him screaming like a pregnant woman giving birth

Aaron and Levi were pacing outside the room waiting for the doctors to come out and tell them what was wrong

“Why is he screaming like that…haven't they given him anesthesia or something,” Christian said as soon as he found Levi and Aaron, the two men rushed to him. Shania gave them both a hug for comfort,

“I don't know man, he's in their screaming like some fucked up girl…” Levi said and turned to peek through the door hoping to see something, ?”

“What exactly happened?” Christian asked, once the men were calm, the noises from inside ceased.

“He used your car, it lost control and went up in flames,” Aaron explained shaking his head, Shania felt bad as she glanced at Christian only to find him staring back

“Did you ask the men how my car did that… we tested it previously, and it was good to go,” he wanted to know how his race car lost control and went into flames. He had some men looking after it, including those who were putting it together

“No man, we hurried here when it happened… Kev was badly hurt when it happened, he tried to jump out of the car… Unfortunately, his leg go stuck,” Levi said and sat down, Arron exhaled heavily

“Damn,” Christian muttered while running his hand through his thick hair. Shania was waiting for him to say something

“He'll be fine…don't worry,” Shania went to sit down and comforted Levi, like a fool Aaron joined them as well. Christian saw through his friends and knew they were attracting attention from Shania. But he didn't care. Averting his eyes, he focused on something else. Shortly after, the door to the room opened, and an elderly doctor walked out rubbing his eyes

“Doc, how is he?”

“Did you amputate his leg…what happened?” Arron and Levi fired the tired-looking doctor with questions

“Guys, no” Shania stopped them, the doctor looked so tired as if he hadn't slept in days.

“Tell us,” Christian said more calmly, and the doctor nodded

“He's fine, only his left leg suffered a severe injury… a minor dislocation, but he'll get better,” the doctor said straight. He said more which they didn't understand, immediately he was done. They all went inside the room to see Kevin

“Haha, you look like sh*t,” Aaron said with a chuckle when they found Kevin lying in the narrow hospital bed. Dressed in a light blue gown

“To Hell with you fuckers, it hurts,” he whined giving Aaron and Levi a mid-finger

“Is this why you were screaming like a honeymoon girl,” Levi laughed and smacked Kevin's injured leg which was hoisted midair and hanging above. Kevin hissed in agony and glared at him

“Just relax… you are a man, this is nothing,” Christian scoffed disdainfully only to get elbowed by Shania

“They are just mean, tell me…does it hurt much…do you need a massage or some water” Shania walked closer to him and sat on the bed. Seeing her, Kevin grinned and pouted

“It hurts, you…you don't know how…how I almost died,” Kevin whined while showing Shania how his arm was bruised and his face covered in burns

“Don't worry, I'm here…these jerks should be worried but look at them,” Shania said and glared at the three men surrounding the bed. Christian rolled his eyes in annoyance while Aaron and Levi scoffed

“See this…she's the only one who cares… Ace, you should be the one in this condition…not me,” Kevin remarked and tried to move when he fell back down and cried out

“Yeah right, did I tell you to use my car…what nonsense,” saying that disdainfully, Christian walked out of the room

“Come on Kev, it's nothing… you are okay” Aaron said more seriously, Shania was surprised these men didn't think Kevin's condition was serious. He was hurt,

"Did you find the person behind this?” It was clear the attack was meant for Christian. Unfortunately, he was lucky while Kevin was not

“I don't know, I'm sure that Ace will get to the bottom of this,”

“Yeah, who knows the rascal who did this… I'm sure the son of a bitch wanted to harm Ace,” Levi chimed in, and Kevin nodded. It seemed Kevin was older than Aaron and Levi, but he was such a baby

“Okay…let me talk to Chris… I'll be right back,” Shania said and left the room. When she got out, she found Christian staring at his phone,

“Did you call the police?” She asked and Christian turned to look at her, he shook his head, “why not… I was right…call them now…we need to catch the culprit,” Shania lashed out, she wasn't happy about it. Especially seeing how calm Christian was.

“Relax and well…” Christian said and showed her his phone. Shania didn't know why, but she snatched it from him and narrowed her eyes to read

“You damned bastard is lucky…next time your dick won't be so lucky…” like a fool, Shania read the message out loud and regretted it. But she didn't understand what the message was all about until she read it again

“That bastard set me up…too bad I wasn't there,” Christian sighed and took the phone from her

“So you know him?”

“Yeah, don't worry it's nothing serious… just some joke among men,” he muttered as he stood in front of Shania and tucked some strands of hair behind her ear

“What do you mean…a joke doesn't hurt anyone… Kev is hurt, and you call it a joke…what if he died,” it sounded ridiculous to view what happened as a joke men did. Seeing her outburst, Christian's eyes narrowed into slits

“Are you worried about him?” He whispered, looking straight into her eyes. Shania averted her eyes a turned away

“Hahaha, then I would have loved to be in that car,” he chuckled in amusement only for Shania to turn around and glared at him

“This isn't a joke, you… you could have gotten hurt,” she knew what would happen, she even told him, but he chose to be ignorant about it, and now he was saying nonsense

“The reason is… if I got hurt, you would have been worried about me…and would have taken care of me especially,” Christian said softly and cupped her face. Shania was lost for words

“I'm jealous now, should I get hurt for you to give me your undivided attention?” He murmured while backing her to a wall, Shania didn't answer him. Even when he slammed her to a wall and trapped her with his large form

“Christian stop it…this is a hospital,” she whispered and attempted to get away; however, Christian used that opportunity and pulled her into his arms

“Worry about me more…” he mumbled and nestled in the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent as his eyes opened. Shania didn't move or hug him back. Christian didn't mind. As long as he was satisfied holding her

“That's enough,” she pushed him away. Christian complied and stepped away from her. To know he nearly fell asleep,

“I'll get some coffee for everyone, and please tell whoever played that prank on you that he's a good-for-nothing jerk,” Shania said bitterly before she left to get some coffee. Christian was amused by her. He watched her until she disappeared down the corner. Only then did he walk back inside the room

“So, he's getting his revenge, right?” Kevin asked Christian

“Nah, I don't think so…their marriage was just a compromise, Ace and Ash weren't in love,” Levi disagreed with a click of his tongue

“It could be…that jackass is an angry bird…he said something about killing Ace if he ever broke the engagement,” Aaron chimed in as well. Christian was also thinking the same thing.

He was aware the wedding he was going to have with Ashley Smith was fake. He had her reasons for marrying him. So, why was her brother acting up? Once they went back home, he was going to have a serious word with her.
