Chapter Seventy-Nine
Chapter Seventy-Nine
Bella didn’t think much of it because Levi's personality had always been erratic, and what she said wasn’t wrong. Whatever their relationship was, Levi might forget, but she wasn’t allowed to.
No matter how good Bella's mood was, she was currently very tired after the flight and wanted to eat quickly and go to sleep.
"Stop being childish, I don't want to create more trouble for myself." Bella sighed, her tone and demeanor expressing exhaustion as if she wanted to quickly drive Levi away.
It was precisely this attitude of Bella's that once again irritated Levi, but listening to others was not his thing. He opened the pizza box without hesitation and took a slice, looking at Bella provocatively.
"I understand your concern, but unfortunately, I don't feel like leaving right now. Besides, I haven't done anything to you. I can still sit here as your husband's friend. Or are you worried because you're thinking of something inappropriate?" Levi smirked provocatively.
Levi's last remark made Bella blush immediately. She quickly avoided his gaze. Indeed, she was afraid Levi would make some request at this moment, like… having sex, but Bella couldn’t voice this embarrassing thought of hers. Maybe because she had been intimate with Levi often, Bella sometimes forgot that besides having a secret relationship with her, Levi was also her husband's friend.
But Bella's flushed face and evasive eyes betrayed her. She didn't need to answer; Levi could see her avoidance. He laughed, "What's the matter? What are you thinking about that makes you blush like that? Don't tell me—"
Before Levi could finish his sentence, Bella covered his mouth with her hand. "Alright, don't say anything more. As long as you don’t do anything excessive, you can stay, but leave soon."
Levi raised an eyebrow, looking at the woman before him, smiling as if very satisfied with Bella's answer. He licked her palm, causing Bella to quickly withdraw her hand in surprise.
"You just ate, and you licked my hand," Bella said, feeling uncomfortable as her palm was now slightly wet with his saliva.
But Levi just shrugged, signaling her to sit beside him. He laughed, "There's no part of your body I haven't tasted, so why feel uncomfortable?"
"You! Levi, this is my house, don't talk recklessly— grr... grr." Bella hadn't finished her sentence when her stomach growled in hunger, making her face even redder, like a ripe tomato. Bella had never felt this embarrassed, not even in front of Max.
Levi glanced at Bella's small stomach and laughed, "Hahahaha… It seems my presence is making your stomach upset, so it's protesting like that. Hurry up and eat."
Bella clenched her fists; her growling stomach was beyond her control, making her feel even more embarrassed. Levi gestured for her to sit next to him, but Bella walked past him and sat opposite, starting to deal with the food she was supposed to enjoy alone.
Bella rarely ate fast food like this. If it weren't for her tiredness tonight, she might have cooked for herself. Her eating manner was very gentle and deliberate, completely contrasting with the way her stomach had just protested.
Because she rarely eats Pizza, she didn't think it was that delicious. Bella couldn't hide her happiness and laughed while eating. Only then did she realize that there was not only her in the room but also someone else. Bella looked up and met Levi's eyes.
He didn't avoid her gaze but quietly watched her eat, his stare intense enough to bore into her soul, making the food in her mouth hard to swallow.
"Could you stop looking at me like that? If you want to eat, just eat." Ultimately, it was Bella who avoided his gaze. No one could feel comfortable eating while being stared at. The most uncomfortable and unsettling part was Levi's gaze, which seemed like he wanted to devour her right then and there.
Levi looked at the large pizza in front of them. "I already had dinner… but I don't think you're so hungry you can eat a whole pizza by yourself."
"Of course, I can't eat it all. I'll put it in the fridge; maybe Max will eat it when he wakes up. No matter how much money we have, we don't waste food." Bella said casually, as it was a very obvious thing.
The words she said were interpreted by Levi as her caring about Max, and wanting to save a portion of whatever she ate for Max. Levi frowned deeply without saying anything and directly picked up a piece of pizza to eat.
“Didn't you already have dinner?” Bella asked, simply thinking he wanted more to eat.
But instead of responding nonchalantly or teasing her, Levi said nothing and just looked at Bella with a displeased and unsatisfied expression.
Although Bella had ordered a large pizza, she only ate two slices, and the rest was eaten by Levi. Bella looked at the empty box with only a few crumbs left, not knowing what kind of expression she should have. She then asked, “Levi… were you that hungry? You said you had dinner, and I only ate two slices.”
Bella was about to say she wasn't full yet, but the words she wanted to say had to be swallowed back.
Levi slowly wiped his mouth, returned to his serious look, and raised his eyebrows at Bella, "Didn't you invite me to eat? I was a guest, and you said you couldn't eat it all at once, so I helped you. You should thank me.”
“You!” Bella was irritated but couldn’t yell at this man. If she had known this would happen, she wouldn’t have invited him to eat together from the start.
Thinking Levi would leave right after eating, but he instead remained comfortably in the living room. Bella sighed, hands on her hips, standing nearby. “When are you going to leave my house? Why don’t you go home? Your house has plenty of things for entertainment.”
Bella had visited Levi’s house once. It wasn’t just a house; it was a large mansion with many rooms designed to meet the owner's entertainment needs. But she had never seen anyone else in that mansion except Levi.
Even though Bella was the daughter of Mr. James William and married to a company director, she never imagined owning such a large mansion.
Levi raised his eyebrows, looking pitifully at her, "I don't know, maybe when I get bored, I'll leave. I feel very lonely at home alone. Could it be that you cruelly chased me back to the place where I felt lonely?"
Levi’s fake pitiful look only made Bella feel unpleasant, not the least bit sympathetic. “Do you think I’ll believe you if you say that?”
“Why don’t you come to my house? With you by my side, I won’t feel lonely. That way, you can get what you want—me leaving your house—and I can get what I want—not feeling lonely. What do you think?” Levi said casually, his face exuding confidence as if his idea was brilliant, leaving Bella speechless at his smug demeanor.
Just as Bella was about to retort, she heard a noise upstairs. She immediately signaled Levi to be quiet. Thinking Max might have woken up, she intended to leave the living room to check, but as she stepped towards the door, a strong force pulled her back.
Caught off guard, Bella’s back slammed into the chest of the person behind her, making her frown in pain.
“What are you-?” Bella couldn’t finish her sentence before Levi’s large hand covered her mouth. He leaned close to her ear, signaling her to be quiet. “Shh!”
The sound of footsteps was clear outside the living room, indicating that Max had woken up and was heading towards them. Bella wanted to break free from Levi, but he held her tightly, causing more pain the more she struggled.
Bella lowered her voice as much as possible, whispering, “Are you crazy? Let me go. I’ll just go out and tell Max that his friend is here, like every other time.”
So far, the relationship between Bella and Levi was a secret only the two of them knew. Max obviously couldn’t know his wife had an unusual relationship with his friend. As long as Bella stepped out now and told Max that Levi was waiting for him, Max would surely believe it.
But instead of following the usual approach, Levi held her tightly, preventing her from leaving. Since the living room door was only slightly ajar and they weren’t talking loudly or making any significant noise, Max probably didn’t notice.
Bella didn’t understand what Levi intended to do. She frowned, glaring at him. With her mouth covered, she could only make incoherent muffled sounds.
Levi pressed her tightly against the door, making it impossible for Bella to struggle. Her whole body was forcefully restrained by him. Seeing Bella continue to struggle, Levi leaned close to her ear and said, “If you don’t keep quiet, I’ll fuck you right here. Do you believe it?” His words were cold and carried a terrifying threat, making Bella’s face turn pale.
