The day of.....

Adrianna

My breathing is rigid and I made it out the store in quick action, as soon as the guards turned away out of the store I had no time to waste.

With jumpy fingers I unlocked the car door. Lord, I keep praying in my heart that everything turns out just how I want it to.

For sure I'll be in hella trouble, a risk maybe deadly issue with Manuel.

Speed limit was 30 I was pushing 55. Out of state means I'm safe. The ring on my finger keep on glistening at me from the suns reflection. I wanted to take it off but I couldn't find the heart to do. Every time I look at it I get this gut in my stomach to turn back.

Later that evening I made it to Pennsylvania, where I reached the second car. Making a quick stop to a gas station I stacked up on food, water and hygiene items there was no stops for me in this trip, taking the plane would of failed my plan completely.

Once in the car, I ate a few of my snacks and drove off.

Third Person POV

Meanwhile Manuel was just being informed about Adrianna's disappearance.

"WHO THE FUCK LET HER OUT OF SIGHT?"

Manuel said looking at the two men standing in front of him.

"Sir.. We did the 5 minute check up she was there, she must've went through the emergency exit which doesn't even work and....." the man didn't get to finish before, Manuel grab one of the men my the collar.

Tugging the guy closer Manuel pulled his hand back and struck the guy with a powerful blow to the face, the echo of the mans bone breaking fulled the silent room.

Manuel sucked his teeth and let go of the dudes collar than told the men to vanish before he did something he regret.

He made his way to his mini bar and took a swing from the first bottle of alcohol his hands landing on. Once finish with the last drop Manuel throw the bottle across the room.

Took another bottle and repeated the same action over and over again.

Manuel knew Adrianna wouldn't get far. Other ideas of someone taking her flashed through Manuel's head who would want to take her away. Did someone figure out his weakness? Who is it? What are they doing to her? Manuel knew pacing around the room wouldn't do shit.

He prepared to call for a meet. Heading towards the door Manuel is greeted by Dr. Celine walking in grinning. Doctor Celine saw Manuel's facial expression and replaced her facial expression with a worriedly look.

"Manuel, Adrianna asked me to stop by to give you these I don't know why she couldn't do it in person....." she handed Manuel a sonogram of Manuel's unknown child.

Manuel looked down at the photos confused.

"Congratulations!! I can't stay for long I have a flight to catch, tell Adrianna I'll see her on her next appointment."

Before Dr. Celine has the chance to leave the room Manuel gripped her by her upper arm.

That evening Dr.Celine missed her flight having to explain and tell Manuel that she really didn't know anything about Adrianna's disappearance.

"Let her be Manuel... give her a few days and she'll be back", Daya stated crossing her hands across her chest.

"Few days she can be endanger.. SHES FUCKING PREGNANT!" Manuel yelled running his hands through his hair. Manuel looks at his front door for the 50th time expecting his amore to walk through the door. His men where all out hunting for Adrianna, it's been 43 hours and there hasn't been a peep.

His eyes became a darker shade, thinking of her taking off the ring he gave to her. It wasn't important but it also indicated that other men would try something with her.

Although she was smart enough to erase all evidence on her mobile devices Manuel realized her strangest actions to late.

"Daya she's smart... so fucking smart with innocent looks." Manuel chuckled loudly crushing the bottle of whiskey in his hand. Ignoring the pain.

"Manuel don't, she'll be fine at the least you'll know she's smart enough to care for her self."

Daya said rushing quickly to care for Manuel's wounds.

"I just don't understand why she left, she knows I'd take care of her. Tend to her in all her and our child's needs." Manuel was on the verge of crying but kept that from happening.

Manuel removed Daya hands from his arm and left the house without explanation or glance.

Finding Adrianna was the only think on his mind. And when he finds her he wouldn't let her out of sight for a second.

Adrianna POV

Three weeks later

Beep

I switch off the alarm clock, today I was a morning person because I had found a job in this small town. Yesterday while strolling in downtown I saw a employee hiring sign walked in the bakery and the owners were happy to employee me with no question.

Probably cause I was pregnant and they felt bad for me Lora, keep on looking at my belly.

Very sweet people, the old couple Lora and Shawn would claim that people rarely came to the town and all and they we're happy to see a new face. Not that I didn't know that already but I acted surprised.

I sign dramatically as I shut the house door dropping the key. The small single family home was stable for me with two rooms and enough space for the baby, I started decorating the house and creating it in my own design. But...

I've also been mad paranoid everywhere I went, every corner expecting Manuel to pop up.

Wrapping the coat tight around my belly I open the car door and head to my first day of work.

The bakery wasn't as busy as I thought besides there being a few regulars that lounged around talking to Lora and Shawn.

The day went by and it was closing time, Lora insisted I'd go home because "pregnant woman shouldn't work" but I didn't wanna go to the lonely home just yet.

Closing the door I place the pumpkin pie Lora gave to me on the table. Took off my shoes and jacket and plopped on the couch. Tomorrow the store would be closed and I wouldn't have to got to work.

I dosed off on the comfy couch.

"WHY DID YOU FUCKING LEAVE ME?" I whimpered under Manuel's touch holding my belly. His eyes slow gazed down to my belly and smiled. "Oh are baby boy he's gonna be the so strong just like daddy... killing just like me." Manuel squeezed my belly. I was trying to pull away from Manuel but he gripped me tighter. The darkness around me lead to no where and I didn't know where to turn. "Manuel please your hurting me." I begged for him to let go of me but he wouldn't, within every minute his eyes became darker his iris and sclera. He looked like a demon.

"YOU BELONG TO ME YOU CAN RUN BABY BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE RUNNING AWAY MAKES."

I cut him off and start clawing at his arms and chest. I finally was able to escape. I started running through the darkness not knowing where I'll end up. I turn back to see Manuel on his knees with a slight grin. "I'll love you even went it hurts." His voice sounded so far away. Turned around to

to keep running until I tripped and was caught by a pair of arms. "Help me please there's this man he!" I was out of breath and held the strangers neck tight. I looked up to pull away from the stranger to arrange myself when HE whispered in my ear "Amore you just don't listen." My body weakens and I pass out.

I woke up from the haunting nightmare, with sweat palms I look around the house making sure every thing was locked. "It was a nightmare Adrianna, he doesn't know where you are calm down." I said to myself I went to the bathroom to wash up to prepare for dinner.

I rubbed my belly as I looked in the mirror. "If your a boy, you are not learning your daddies ways."I whispered to myself.
