Chapter 9

Jessica mouth fell open as she saw her brother smile. Vince never smile like that. Ever. He rarely smiles yet when this girl who was a young vampire from the scent around her, launched herself at him. He started smiling and he hasn't stopped since. Even through the kiss that the Vampire was giving him, he was still smiling.

Jessica wrinkled her face at the scene as she moves towards Jake who entered the room after the Vampire. " hey Jake. " she greeted with a hug that Jake returns absentmindedly. " what's wrong. "

" Vince will kill me. " Jake muttered lowly. Enough so she could hear him but Vince couldn't hear him.

" why. What did you do. " Jessica asked him.

" you will see. " Jake said pointing at Vince and the girl who was now burying her nose in Vince neck, Vince was doing the same to her too as he suddenly stopped and frowned. He looked at Jake who shrank back away little.

" why was your hand around her neck. " Vince asked with his voice turning into a growl.

" I thought she was a trespasser. " Jake mumbled weakly.

Vince eyed him as he turned his attention back to the girl. " Gwen can you raise your head for me. "

Gwen nodded against his neck and took one giant breathe at his neck before she raised her head. When Vince saw the redness on her neck he looked at Jacob with his eyes turning black in rage.

" I didn't know she was your mate. If I did I would never have touched her. " Jake said in a pleading tone.

" wait, he has a mate. " Jessica asked as she looks at her brother. " you have a mate. "

" Gwen, what did Jake do to you. " Vince asked her.

" well. I was in the den answering a call from Ashley when I felt a shimmer that always happen anytime you teleport. So I thought it was you. I ended the call only to see him behind me and then one thing lead to another he held me to the wall, I kicked him in between his legs and tried to escape. He blocked my exit as he teleported to my front and I told him I was your mate. He tried to get me compelled so as to hide the incident from you. It didn't work. You came in and I came to meet you. " Gwen explains.

" you tried to compel her. " Vince shouted in anger as Gwen started to rub her hand on his arms in an attempt to sooth him. " Gwen, please go take a shower. " Gwen looked at him and although she wanted to complain she decided not to. Besides the scent of another make touching her must be making him angrier. She kissed him lips as she left the room after offering a small smile to the girl in the room. There is no doubt that she is Vince sister. Her features were almost the same as Vince own.

" you have a mate. " Jessica said to her brother with her hands folded together in front of her.

" I met her last month. " Vince said to his sister as he continued to glare at his friend.

" I am sorry. I would not have even neared her if I knew she was your mate. And she wasn't forth coming with answers. "

" so that is your excuse for holding her by the neck. What is your excuse for trying to mind rape my mate. " Vince asked Jake with his voice deadly calm.

" this male bonding is nice and all but I am leaving. I am going to spend time with my future sister in law and when I get back Vincent, you will tell me why you didn't let me know that I have a new sister. " Jessica said as she left.

" I never tried to mind rape her. I just wanted to remove the memory of my attacked from her mind, she refused to keep it from you... "

" you wanted my mate to lie to me. Just continue to dig a grave for yourself. " Vince told Jake as Jake sighs.

" I wanted you to not take my head off. You are taking this well but imagine what went through my mind at the thought that you might see her neck... You have been possessive of her and kept her in secret away from the rest of us. Is it my fault that I thought that you would go crazy on me of you knew so I tried to cover my tracks. " Jake said.

" fine but I don't even want you near her unless with my permission. Your scent is never to be on her skin. " Vince gritted out, still fighting his urge to ripped Jake head off for touching his mate. He was barely holding on to his temper.

" don't you think that you are a little harsh. " Jake asked.

Before Vince could control himself. He already jammed his arm under Jake chin as Jake back hit the wall behind him with a huge force that made the wall to crack.

" no, I was going easy on you. How do you think I felt smelling your scent on her neck. The place where I always bit her. I wanted to rip your head off. I still want to rip your head off and the only thing that will make me calmed down is if you don't come near my mate. Understood. " Vince yells at his friend.

" understood, perfectly well. " Jake said as he teleported away.

Vince used his hand to pass through his hair as he stalked towards his room. He need to check if Gwen is alright and then he is going to spend some time alone with her.

As he stalked into his room, he saw Gwen and his sister talking and laughing together.

And as his bond flared with relief at seeing her smile. Gwen raised her head.

" hey Vince. " she waved him over.

" hello dear. Are you okay. " Vince asked her.

" she is now, Shoo. Allow me time with my new sister. " Jessica cuts in before Gwen could answer.

" I need to check of she is alright. " Vince said to his sister.

" she is. Now you have spent time with her, allow me to also spend time with her. " Jessica said to her brother.

" I would also need to give her blood and it is an intimate affair. " Vince told his sister as she glared at him.

" I hate you. " she says to him as she stomped out of the room. Vince laughs as he turns to Gwen.

" I am sorry that he hurt you. "

" no harm no foul besides. I believe that he is more hurt than me. " Gwen said as she drew Vince to her. " now stop talking and kiss me. "

Vince was happy to oblige.
