Eudora, Lenora, Adira, Serene, Zaros, and Maximus were in a dilemma as they walked back to the castle.

But they knew they have to act normal.

“Lady Eudora, I guess we shall discuss things about weddings from now only. We only have a month,” Serene said.

“Yes, We shall have a meeting,” Eudora said.

Without a break, Adira was mercilessly dragged into the meeting hall along with those elders and her mothers.

They talked about dresses, ornaments, decorations, servants, food, drinks, flowers, chairs, tables, glasses, tables!!! Spoons!!! What the hell…. They spoke about every fucking single thing.

Adira just wanted to crawl out of the room and rest.

She mindlinked to her brother.

“Brother….” Adira cried in Maximus's mind space.

[What is it?”]  Maximus asked as he looked at her through his mind link.

[Brother… these merciless killers are killing my brain. I want a break. I am hungry. Do something. I want to leave this battlefield.]  she said as she exaggeratedly cried to him.

Maximus chuckled hearing her. His chuckle caught the attention of everyone.

“Cough. Sorry. Go on,” Maximus said.

[Brother! Either they shall stop or I shall get out of this battlefield!] Adira yelled in his mind.

[Wait, I will do something.] he said with a smile.

Lenora was watching everything from the side as she looked at him and her sister-in-law. Her sister-in-law was so cute.

“Mother, I have something to attend to. I need to go. And since you are deciding we have nothing to question. I suppose you all should excuse the youngsters,”  Maximus said.

“Shut up and sit,” Serene said as she threw a sharp glare at him.

“Mom, I am the king!” Maximus said.

“So? I don’t want to give you any face. And I know… your sister pleaded with you to get her out of this room,” Serene said as she rolled her eyes. Adira lowered her head. Even Maximus shut his mouth after hearing her mother’s words.

“How do you know she pleaded him, Serene?” Eudora asked surprised.

“I saw her pout!” Serene said.

“Just with a pout?” Eudora asked.

“They were talking through Mind Link,” Serene said.

Eudora just smiled.

“Mom! I am hungry! That’s why I asked my brother to get me out,” Adira said.

“You had lunch two hours ago. Why are you hungry again? Don’t give me the reason that you didn’t eat properly. If you eat properly the whole kingdom will starve, Glutton!” Serene chided her.

“Mom, see I am thin. How could you say I am eating a lot?” Adira said with a pout.

“Brother! See your mother is scolding me,” Adira complained.

“She is your mother too,” he said.

“But now she is acting like an enemy!” she said like a brat.

“Why are you being childish now?” Serene chided.

“I am hungry!” she said stomping her feet.

“Act like a proper lady!” Serene chided her.

“Mom, acting like a proper lady doesn’t feed my stomach,” Adira said.

“Maximus! Look at your sister. Look how she is!” Serene said forgetting the crowd.

“I am looking at her only. She looks beautiful. And at this second she is cute,” Maximus said as he put his hand under his chin as if he was saying a hard decision.

“You both!” Serene said.

Serene looked at her maid. She disappeared at a werewolf speed and appeared in a second. The next second both Adira and Maximus saw the thing in their mother’s hand.

“Danger!” Adira said as she got up from her chair hurriedly. Even Maximus got up from his chair hurriedly. Both siblings started running.

Serene forgot the people around her and the situation. She started running behind them to whoop her children's asses. Her mission was important now!

“Mom, What did we do now?” Adira yelled.

“Does mom needs a reason to beat us, Angel?” Maximus yelled.

“Are you guys saying I am unreasonable?” Serene said as she started running around her faster than a second ago.

“No, Mom! I didn’t say. Brother said that!” Adira says pushing her brother into the hot soup.

“You, Devil! How can you betray me!” Maximus said as he picked a cushion from a couch before throwing it on her. Adira swiftly caught it with her single hand.

“Didn’t you say mom doesn’t need a reason to beat us? It means she is being unreasonable to us. Mom is a smart one that’s why she caught the underlying meaning of your words,” Adira said with narrowed eyes at him.

“Indeed, Maximus said I am unreasonable,” Serene said as she started running after Maximus leaving Adira.

“You sit my baby,” Serene said to Adira.

Adira heaved a sigh and sat in her seat. She took the water jug and drank from it instead of pouring it into the glass in a most unladylike manner. She finished the water jug and placed it in front of her. She called the servants and asked them to replace the jug and water.

“Mom, that devil is provoking you to beat me! Don’t listen to her,” Maximus said still running.

“But you said!” Serene said.

“I won’t leave you, little devil!” Maximus said. But Adira just stuck her tongue out at him.

“Mom, brother is bullying me,” Adira said with a fake crying face.

“You brat! How dare you bully my daughter! I won’t leave you today!” Serene said as she ran faster.

“Mom! Just use your brain and see! She is the one who is bullying me!” Maximus said feeling frustrated.

“Mom, brother is saying you don’t have a brain! He is insulting you! The mother of the kingdom is insulted!” Adira said as she provoked her further.

“You little DEVIL!!!!!!” Maximus yelled at her.

Adira just winked at him and tried to suppress her laughter. Even everyone was trying to suppress her laughter.

“Brother there is nothing on your head,” Adira said.

Hearing her he stopped and ran his fingers in his hair. There is nothing on her head.

“There is nothing on my head,” he said angrily.

“I said the same,” she said innocently. He understood her trick and decided to run but Serene caught him and started twisting his ear.

“You brat! I will get back to you,” he said.

She stuck her tongue out at him like a kid.

Everyone started laughing at their fight.

Eudora even wondered if they were the royal family or not.

Adira mindlinked with her brother and said, [I can help you if you forget to get back to me. And do whatever I want. And the other benefit is…. I won’t book you in front of mom and you don’t do it for me either. Yes or no.]  Adira said with a raised brow.

[You are taking advantage of the situation.] he said.

[I am not. See…. your wife is seeing you and everyone. If you want help seek me.] Adira said.

[Devil!] he cursed her.

Maximus's mind linked to his mother secretly and let her Adira’s words.

“You brat!” Serene said as she tried to run after her.

“Mom, didn’t you say act like lady-like? You are behaving like unlady-like!” Adira said immediately. Serene huffed and puffed and sat down.

She mind-linked them that she will take care of them after some time making them shiver. Adira passed a glare at him but she received a glare from her mother.

“You both! If I see you both here for another second! I will make sure you don’t get dinner!” Serene said. They both ran away from the room leaving others to laugh.
