Chapter 67
Heather didn't bring her car because she thought she would come home with Blake. She hailed a passing taxi. She is mad at Blake but she is angry at herself too. She loved him too much so she was willing to do anything to pacify him when he was jealous. She regretted going to the bar. If she didn’t she didn’t have to stoop so low because she was jealous of that woman. She was almost like Kristel though she didn’t hit anyone, she still cause a scene. She didn’t want to say those words but she couldn’t control her mouth. His friends were there and they heard everything. She already made an effort to talk to him so she felt that was more than enough for now. Her phone rang. She didn’t want to get it because it could be him. She would give him the cold shoulder too so he would know that she was also really mad. But when her phone didn’t stop ringing, she took the call. It was Jay who was on the phone. He didn’t even say hello. His voice was very cold.
"The photoshoot is tomorrow afternoon so you have to decide now. If you will not model the swimsuits, Mr. and Mrs. Li will back out. I need your answer now.”
She bit her bottom lip. Because of her they would lose a very big client.
“Heather. I hope you will be more professional about this. My sister is counting on me, On us.” He said which worsened her guilt.
She had no choice. Jay was right. She couldn’t disappoint Kay. Since Blake wasn’t talking to her, she didn’t have to tell him or ask permission from him. She would just explain things to him once they were okay already.
“ I will do it.” She shut her eyes for a second or two after saying that. She thought she heard her boss sigh.
“We’ll model Joey’s creations first then once yours are ready, we will use them. We will stay there overnight. We'll go to a private resort." Jay said, he sounded as if he was smiling.
“Okay.” She replied.
Jay was grinning from ear to ear when he hung up. He would make sure that something would happen tomorrow which could lead to Heather breaking up with her boyfriend. He then dialed his phone to call someone.

Heather had no plan of talking with Blake if ever he called. She was sure that he would attempt to call or text her just like before especially she walked out on him and she was really angry. But she had been in her unit for half an hour still there was no message nor call from him. She got more jealous and angrier thinking that he was with Dana to spite her. She felt she was about to cry.
I won't shed a tear! She told herself.
She stopped herself from gnashing her teeth when she remembered what Dana said. The woman was willing to go with him anywhere. She wondered if any woman had said no to him except Stacey. She knew the reason why her sister rejected him before. That time Stacey didn’t like Blake's type, men with a bad boy image. Her sister was very simple unlike her. Stacey's husband Nick also had a bad boy image but Blake was worse. Blake had smacked more men compared to Nick. Well that was because there were more men around her. Stacey was beautiful too but she was timid so guys were hesitant to approach her.
Unlike you! A flirt and a tease! That's why men probably think that you are easy so they flock around you! She thought bitterly.
She turned off the shower. She shouldn't think so lowly of herself. She should know herself better. That was just an image she herself created and she wasn’t like that anymore. She was annoyed with herself. She couldn’t seem to stop thinking about such things due to her anger.
She was putting on her nightwear when she got a call. She sighed. At last Blake thought of calling her. But she frowned when she saw who is contacting her. It's Eve. She pushed the answer button.
"Heather Blake is at the hospital. He had a motorcycle accident. He was..."
She didn’t hear the rest of what Eve said because she could only absorb that he had an accident and it kept echoing in her head.
"HEATHER!!"
Eve’s loud voice brought her back to reality. She sobbed. She knew she had to go to him but how? She couldn't drive at this state.
"I will pick you up! Wait for me!" Eve said before hanging up.

She couldn’t help but cry while Eve told her what happened when they were inside the car. It was her fault why Blake drove his big bike while under the influence of alcohol.
"Tom and Arnold helped him to go to the toilet because he was planning to come after you but he threw up. He asked them to leave him in the toilet and the two did. But they were shocked when the guard on duty told them he left using his motorcycle. It was a good thing that he put his helmet on if not, he could have been injured really badly. The hospital called my number because it was the last call he made.” Eve said.
She looked at Heather and she felt sorry for her cousin's girlfriend. Now she had proven that they love each other but they need to control their jealousy.
" According to the nurse who called me, Blake kept on murmuring sweetheart. They even thought I was his wife.” She said as she shook her head.
Heather couldn’t help laughing lightly. "Is he gonna be okay?"
Eve nodded. "He's lucky that he only has minor injuries like cuts and bruises. But later they need to x-ray him. But so far he’s fine. Maybe his pride is more injured. He always considers himself a good driver. Well I hope he learned his lesson.”
"I told him not to drink and drive.” She said.
"You know how stubborn my cousin is." Eve sighed.

Heather cried again when she saw Blake lying on the hospital bed. A male nurse was talking to him. He had wound dressing on his chin and arms. He instantly saw her. She ran to him not caring if there were other people in the room. She threw her body at him She hugged him tightly. "Sweetheart..." she murmured while crying.
Though Blake’s face distorted a bit from pain, he wrapped his arms around his sobbing woman.
"Miss.." the nurse was about to say something to Heather but Blake raised his right hand to let him know that he was okay.
He wanted to feel his woman's body. He missed her scent. Having her with him is enough to ease his physical pain. He thought that he would die when his body was thrown overboard. He avoided a car coming towards him. His big bike skidded on the pavement where a cover of an open manhole was. The last thing he remembered was his body hitting the road.
Eve motioned the nurse to leave the room. She touched Heather's back gently and nodded at Blake. She wanted to give them time alone.
“We will go out so you can talk privately.”
Heather raised her head and said thank you to her.
"Sweetheart I am really sorry." she sobbed when they were left alone.
"Aww sweetheart...".
"Sorry .." she apologized again and moved a little away from him. Which part is painful?" she asked worriedly.
He chuckled. "Just my left arm but it’s not that bad.." he said.
He moved his back on the bed then asked her to lie next to him. She protested at first but he said he wanted to hold her .She carefully laid beside him. He kissed the top of her head then said, "Look at me sweetheart."
She raised her head to meet his eyes.
"I'm sorry..."
"Sorry."
They said at the same time. Blake kissed her firmly on the mouth. When their lips separated, he spoke again.
"No. I'm sorry. I know I acted like a jealous freak again. You know how jealous I am of him right?" He asked.
She swallowed a smile be cause her man didn't even want to mention Kevin's name. She just nodded.
"A while ago, I realized a lot of things. First, it wasn’t your fault that he went to your unit. And second, I guess I am really too much. I should always keep in mind that you love me and you are not the cheating type. It is just a lot of assholes are around you...” He said with a heavy frown.
She laughed lightly. She had her forefinger on his right cheek.
"I don't care about any man sweetheart. I am all yours. So please don’t become violent and just ignore me when you get jealous." she said huskily.
He smiled. "This time I will really try. I thought that I will never see you again when my body hit the road. The feeling was agonizing.”
"When Eve called me to tell me about your accident, I felt numb all over. I don't want to have that feeling again sweetheart. I told you to not drive when you’re drunk. Please don’t do that again okay? You are not Superman you know.” she said while frowning.
"I won't do it again. I was just so desperate to come after you. I don't want you to think that I will still want other women It's just you sweetheart. I love you." he said throatily.
"I love you too. And I am sorry if I said some stupid things at the bar while your friends were there. I regret doing that. That was so embarrassing!” She said crinkling her nose but Blake chuckled.
“That’s okay sweetheart. They are all aware that I am a fucking machine and now they know that I like it doggie-style.” He laughed while she rolled her eyes.
He kissed her hand. “Seriously my princess, no other woman can get my attention. I love you.” He said
She sighed. “ And I love you too. I should really appreciate all the efforts you do to shoe me how much you love me. I should also stop being so jealous too.”
"It’s just you...." He murmured before he kissed her again.
They didn’t even know how long they stayed like that, cuddling each other. They fell asleep. They were awaken by the disapproving voice of a middle -aged female nurse . It was daytime already and it was almost time for Blake’s X-ray. They were reprimanded because they were not supposed to sleep together on the bed because it might worsen Blake’s injury. They tried to keep a straight face while the nurse continued to lecture them. Blake was holding her hand. She was standing beside his bed while the nurse checked his drip. Before going out, the nurse said that she will come back again with a wheelchair.
They burst into laughter when she was gone.
“It was your fault!” She giggled and he grinned.
"Good morning sweetheart. If my arm is not killing me and Nurse Hitler will not come back soon, I will make love to you right now. I wanted to do it since last night but I can’t.” He sounded disappointed”.
She playfully pinched his nose.
"You always think about sex my perv of a man!" she joked.
He chuckled. "Is that your phone sweetheart?" he asked.
With a light frown, she got her phone. She chewed her bottom lip.
"Answer it. It might be important.” her man suggested.
Jay was calling. Today was the day they were supposed to have the photo shoot in a private resort.
"Who is it sweetheart?" he asked.
She should probably tell him the truth about Jay.
"Sweetheart? Who is calling you?" He had a deep frown now.
With one heavy sigh she said ," Sweetheart, I want to tell you something..."
