Chapter 72

She clumped her lips. No tongue. His lips just touched hers for one second. At first she was about to protest but after several seconds, she decided to test herself if she could be with Jay to forget Blake. She thought Jay could change Blake in her heart. She thought she could have a relationship with other men. She thought she could move on immediately. She was wrong. He hurt her but she couldn’t let another man in her heart. She pushed Jay away from her.

."I'm sorry Jay. I can't do it. Forget what I said about giving you a chance." she said in a voice full of tears before she ran back to the house.

Jay gritted his teeth. All along he thought all was doing well. He followed her in the house

"What are you doing?" he asked with a heavy frown.

She was putting all her stuff back in the shopping bags. Without looking at him she said," Thanks for everything Jay. I want to go back to the city now.”

She decided to talk to Blake however painful it would be. She couldn’t un-love him. She was deeply in-love with him. She was hurt that's why she acted on impulse. But who wouldn’t be hurt with what she saw? Who wouldn’t want revenge? No one was perfect. People were bound to make mistakes. She didn’t see Jay grit his teeth.

"We can't go back tonight. The photographer is coming tomorrow. We have to do the photoshoot.” His voice was very cold. .

She stopped stuffing things in a paper bag. She nibbled the inside of her lower lip.

"Can we do the shoot really early? I really want to go home tomorrow.”

She was dying to see Blake. Since yesterday her cellphone’s battery already ran out. She didn’t bring her charger.

"I can’t promise you that! I have to call the photographer!." he said through clenched teeth before walking out of the room.

She sat on the edge of the bed feeling helpless. This was a consequence of her impulsive action. If she didn’t go with Jay she wouldn’t be in this situation. But she should be grateful that Jay didn’t attempt to do anything bad to her. She just hoped that Blake wouldn’t go ballistic once he knew she was with her boss. Well he had to listen to her and trust her because she would do that to him too. She would tell him that she saw what he and Kristel were doing and she didn’t know what to do and where to go then Jay ran across her at the mall. Since she was so confused, she went with him to his friend’s place. Now she realized that what she did was wrong. Regret usually came last and she had learned her lesson. Her coming with Jay had made her realize that however hurt she was, she could never cheat on Blake. If there was something between Kristel and her man, she would fight for him. She didn’t want to lose him to his ex. He was hers.

"I love you sweetheart..." she murmured.

She was hoping that what she saw isn't what she thought. His mother said that they should have faith in their love.

She was planning to borrow Jay’s phone so she could tell Stacey where she was. She wanted to talk to Blake but she was afraid to call him and tell him her whereabouts. He would beat Jay for sure. She didn’t want that to happen since Jay just tried to help her. It would be better if her sister would pick her up. She will just try to explain everything to her man and she was hoping he would be more understanding since both of them were at fault this time. She saw Jay drinking alcohol in the garden. His brooding expression was not encouraging so she decided not to borrow his phone. She knew he was angry. She told him that she would try to give him a chance with her. She should really stop making hasty decisions. Once she and Blake became okay, she would really change her childish ways. She had so many realizations. She would forget her motto, an eye for an eye. It would only make matters worse. It would just hurt her and Blake more. She loved him so much and she would agree to get married to him. They would feel more secure after they get married. Unfortunately, she had to wait until tomorrow before she could see him and talk to him. One thing she was sure though. Very soon, she would be Mrs. Blake Acosta. And if given the chance, she would slap Kristel and drag her by her hair so she would get away from Blake. She sighed and just went back to her room. She didn't even want to have dinner. She couldn't wait until tomorrow. She sighed then decided to sleep. She better rest She locked the door before she laid on the bed.

Jay was pissed. He had too much alcohol already. He thought Heather would be his. His phone rang. His forehead creased when he saw the caller. It was Claudia. He had been avoiding her because he accidentally made her pregnant. He wasn’t serious about her. The woman threw herself at him. They had a one-night stand but since they were both drunk he was so stupid for not using protection. Claudia was his biggest problem now. But he would never let her use her condition to trap him into marriage. The woman is the daughter of his father’s friend but he didn’t care. He wanted Heather not her.

"WHAT?!" he rasped.

"I decided to tell my parents that I am pregnant. My dad said that he will talk to your dad.” She said and he cursed.

"I told you many times that I won’t marry you! I will give you child support that’s it.." he said coldly.

"You know that I don't need your money! What is it that you don’t like about me? Our parents want us to be together. You don't want me that much that you are now hiding from me? Where are you?" she asked.

"I am not hiding from you. I am with the woman I want. Let’s talk again some other time. My stand is the same. Don't expect that I will marry you!" he said before hanging up then turning off his phone.

He regretted turning on his phone. He gulped more beer. He only wanted one woman. It was only Heather. He would make her his tonight. He was not into forcing women for sex but at this point he would if he had to. He had been a gentleman, .He hadn't touch any part of her body until this late afternoon. He would take her tonight. He had a feeling that once he had possessed her, that jealous boyfriend of hers wouldn't want her anymore. Well it was his lost.

He looked at his watch. It was pat 10 p.m. For sure she was already fast asleep. It was time. He finished the booze and got the key of the master bedroom which was on the table.

Heather felt something heavy was on her top. The room was dark and she could only see the silhouette of the person's face. She felt warm breath fanned her face. The intruder was breathing heavily. She could feel his arousal. She was so scared. He would rape her.

"Oh God Jay...no!! Please don't!" she pleaded.

He started kissing her neck.

"NOO!! HELP!!" she screamed.

She couldn’t move. He pinned her arms above her then covered her mouth.
