20th Ghosting: Chasing Mystery

ASHEY LOOKED at her mother from leaning against the kitchen door jamb. She's cooking that morning.

"By the way, you can stay here, as long as you want. I forgot to tell you," she said in the absence of something sensible to say to her mother.

She turned to her with a smile "Thank you, you're awake. Good morning. Coffee?"
