Evening slowly set in until it became dark and Tahti, curled up and seated on the floor in the studio, stared at her shattered piece. Everyone else had gone home, leaving her to her fate, when the clouds were returning home and the rain had started and since then, she had been unable to stop crying.
Couldn't her life just take a break for once? All week and before, she had done nothing on her artwork but had thought of Demir and barely a couple of weeks to the exhibition, her piece had ended, just like a relationship with him.
More tears crawled down her face again and she raked her fingers through her hair, her head blank and tired from thinking about what she was going to do.
A shadow suddenly lurked over her and she slowly raised her head to see the least person she was expecting to see at the moment. Her head tried to think of possible reasons why he was there at that moment and the closest reason she could think of was a course mate of hers had probably called him to break the news to him.
Unfortunately, his appearance didn't make much of a difference, so she tore her eyes off him to turn the other way.
Why, just why was he there when she was in her most moment?
"Tahti." He gently called and she slowly turned to see he was now crouching in front of her, a sincere, yet worried look on his face as he stared back at her, which only moved her to more tears.
"Let's fix this together." He said, his voice coming out in a whisper as he lowered his eyes to look at the shattered piece once more.
Tahti could not tell if he was being sincere or if he was just hoping it would be his way of envisaging his way back so she could be in his arms again. Even though she was in desperate need of help at the moment, she just didn't know if she could really accept his help.
"And when we are done..." Her eyes returned to him as his voice trailed off, and he raised his eyes to meet her gaze.
"...I'll stay away from you."
