Talk Face to Face
Earlier they had traveled a long way with that route alone. Until Secretary Ham worked up the courage to ask where they were going and they headed into a bar. They only spent a short time there, because the boss also didn't feel comfortable.
Without doing anything so important, Secretary Ham seems to have enough of his free time. In fact, he had been restless and repeatedly glanced at his watch. By now it was past lunch time it was supposed to be. So late. The food that he purposely placed on the chair next to him was also cold.
"I don't know." Said Arkan indifferently.
It seemed Secretary Ham couldn't contain himself any longer. His anger had peaked after the sentence seemed like he didn't care about what was said. Without waiting for an answer to appear, he immediately made a U-turn in the direction in which the car was going. The speed is quite high for Arkan who wants to take a walk.
"He-hey! Secretary Ham!" shouted Arkan.
No matter how many times the screams were raised, he was still ignored. Arkan who was having a hard time holding his body so it wouldn't sway around, was trying to stay strong back there.
After arriving at their destination, Secretary Ham just got out of the car to open the rear cabin door. At that moment, Arkan got out of the car staggering because his head felt like it was spinning. The trip was clearly different from his purpose of calming down.
Arkan raised his lowered head to find out where they were at the moment. He was suppressed by his brain because of the dizziness that was creeping up trying to survive.
"You're walking me back home?" Arkan asked, tucking in a weak tone of protest there.
Secretary Ham lowered his head slightly as he said, "Have a good rest, Sir." Without caring about what happened to his boss, he walked away from there.
Arkan stuttered to call out his secretary's name, but it was too late because the car had already sped away. Now, he snorted in annoyance as he walked into the lobby area. He didn't even want to go back to the apartment yet, but Secretary Ham accompanied him.
"Sir Arkan."
The call made him turn to the source of the sound. A woman in formal attire was seen walking towards him. He knows the woman who works as a manager in this apartment, Dena.
"We met some time ago."
Arkan doesn't forget the time when Dena helped him prepare a place for his business partner to stay. "Yes," he said, then smiled slightly.
Dena looked around before looking straight ahead. "Are you alone, Sir?"
Arkan also looked around him, then replied, "Yes. I'm just alone."
Dena said doubtfully, "Then do you have time for us to chat for a while?"
Arkan only knew the apartment manager at first glance. So, what chat can they talk about? After all, he didn't like to waste his time on something that wasn't important.
"You can say what you want to say to me here, because I have to get back to the apartment."
Dena was at least surprised to receive the rejection. She bit her lower lip before speaking back, "Then we can discuss it at your apartment."
Arkan paused for a moment thinking about those words. Now he understood the reason why Dena came. Previously, he thought that there really was something important to talk about, but unexpectedly that something important was what he needed right now.
"I've been watching you for a while and I can't help myself anymore."
Arkan tried to hold back his desire for Lunar who just left without completing what they should have continued and now a woman with a body that could be said to burn men's passion offered to him.
This was really too much because he had to make a decision quickly. Everything in him is at stake. He is in a very difficult choice. Should he accept the offer to quell his passion?
"Do you mind, Sir? If we have a chat in your apartment?"
Arkan didn't have time to answer, suddenly both of his hands were grabbed and gripped tightly as if the bodyguards on both sides of him were currently handcuffing him.
"What's this? Dena! We're going to have a chat in my apartment! My apartment is empty right now!" shouted Arkan.
"S-sir Arkan!"
Arkan was dragged and thrown into a car. When he realized where he was now, he was surprised to find himself sitting with his father.
"Father can just come to my apartment. No need to bring troops to take me." Arkan said annoyed.
"How can I come to your apartment when you're out with other women? In fact you two plan to talk in the apartment alone."
Arkan glanced out the window beside his father. It must have been his father's secretary who had said what had happened.
"I don't really want to do it."
Damien laughed. "What made you desire an apartment manager? I know you and know what kind of female character you want. Now like a mad man, you want to do anything to spend time with a woman. You weren't like this when you lived with Raya for a long time. Is all this because of Lunar living with you? She makes your chest churn."
Arkan really wanted to debate, but he didn't want to discuss something that would end up in vain. "Why did you come to see me?"
Damien was silent for a moment before his expression turned serious. "I want to talk about Lunar who is no longer with you in the apartment."
"Your's secretary is very fast in getting information."
Arkan glanced back at the woman who was out there, the secretary as well as a woman close to his father.
"Yes. Lunar was indeed not with me in the apartment. Her parents wanted me to pick her up if they really wanted to continue the marriage relationship. They said that our marriage was not valid in their eyes. In fact, they just don't know that it was Lunar who begged to marry me."
Damien exhaled slowly. "We have to pick her up now."
Arkan advanced his leaning body quickly. "What? Picked her up? She ruined my life and she's been taken away. Isn't that supposed to be great? I can enjoy my time without her again."
"Then you want to make news about yourself getting dumped? We agreed that your marriage would last for one year and until then, if not separate amicably, at least let Lunar be the one to get dumped."
Arkan swallowed hard. Is there only good status in his father's life? To think of ruining someone's life? He just didn't think of avenging Lunar for ruining his life.
"There's nothing you can do. Just listen to what dad says. Everything is for your own good too."
Arkan heard that reason not only once. Until he forever had to live in his father's plans for his own future. He loathed himself for not being able to argue back, choosing the path in life he wanted, including marrying the woman he was meant to be.
