Annoying Man
Lunar is standing outside the room now, waiting for the two men who are still talking in the room. She looked around her surroundings where every corner had its own aesthetic value, no longer surprised that the man she was going to marry was a rich man since she was currently dealing with a big businessman in the town where she lived, especially since earlier the scenery that was presented made her dumbfounded over and over again. She had visited Nico's house which was also luxurious, but what she saw now was much more luxurious.
From the window, she noticed how Arkan seemed to be protesting against the decision she had made. They do not know each other at all and marrying in such circumstances is something that cannot be accepted, unless she is the one who needs a place to live, like it or not she has to throw away her pride by begging not to be expelled.
She looked at it for a long time and then realized after her attention was diverted. She smoothed her appearance which appeared in the reflection of the glass, messy hair, faded makeup, sweat everywhere, and the soles of the feet that since leaving the hotel are no longer wearing pads. No wonder she was considered a madman because what she saw when still in the dressing room was completely different from what she is now.
A chuckle could be heard from the man who had been standing at the door, that man was the one who was driving the car earlier. The laughter immediately stopped when the door opened and made the man move quickly, pulled over while bowing respectfully to those who had just left, Lunar spontaneously also did the same thing because she thought that those who ask for a place to live must respect the person who will give itresidence.
Only a pair of legs that went quickly while another pair of legs no longer stepped. Lunar raised her head slightly so as to see who went between the two men without planning he immediately met Arkan face to face, making him immediately lower his head. Arkan's facial expression was still unfriendly.
"Follow me."
Lunar lifted her head quickly. Did Arkan talk to her? She glanced at the man who no longer looked down beside her. A nod seemed to say that she should follow Arkan, hesitatingly she turned to Arkan who was already far, then she ran to catch up with the man and walked behind.
They arrived at a room in which there was a bed. Arkan didn't go any further and deliberately let Lunar enter first. After that, the door was closed so they could have a place to talk one-on-one. Lunar who was still looking around was not aware of the danger that was threatening.
Lunar realized after Arkan was near her and made her have to look the other way when their gazes met. For some reason, she felt cornered by a man who didn't show the slightest bit of hospitality. She looked like was dealing with a scary villain, steps back slightly to make self-defense.
"W—we don't need to get married. I can just be a maid in this house. Just give me a place to stay until my time to leave comes."
Arkan exhaled slowly, then put both hands into his trouser pockets. Je didn't take his eyes off Lunar who was cornered like a small cat at all. Who likes a messed up plan? He hated it, but didn't have to complicate himself by feeling hatred for too long.
"We will get married soon. Until one year later we will separate. During that time, you better not change my plans again."
Lunar looked at the face that no longer showed any expression of anger. However, what Arkan said just now was getting married. Are they really going to get married? It was definitely not on the track of her plan of wanting to run away from the wedding because of Nico being a traitor. Here, she is trapped in another marriage from which he cannot escape. Is this karma because she went against his parents' decision?
"We don't need to get married. I can be a servant in this house for the next year." Lunar repeated the request that became a refusal of marriage for the second time, no longer mixed with the nervousness as before.
Arkan lifted the woman's chin with her forefinger so that they could see clearly at a closer distance than before.
"You don't understand what I'm saying? Don't change my plans again with the plans you have. Just sit still and follow my plan."
Arkan noticed Lunar's appearance which he could catch a glimpse of. "Clean yourself stinky and dirty."
Lunar just stared at how Arkan turned around, then left the room leaving him alone. She did not deny that her body was indeed covered in sweat to roam around. Maybe, before knowing how the looked, she could be proud by saying that the real madman was Arkan. Now that she realized, what shee saw in the mirror earlier, she couldn't argue with Arkan who said he was smelly and dirty.
Lunar approached a door in the room. As expected the door that opened was the bathroom door. She didn't go straight into it because she wanted to find a change of clothes first. There was no way after taking a bath she would wear the same clothes. The cupboard in the room was approached and the door opened. Unexpectedly, the wardrobe is full of clothes, especially complete with underwear.
Everything she saw at this time made her remember what she found in the suitcase. She swallowed her own saliva imagining all the possibilities that could happen. Her existence in this big house wasn't the result of Arkan's trap, was it? She's not a woman being put up for sale or something, is she?
According to the information she got, a businessman like Arkan doesn't have a sister. Arkan is the only child in the Gray family. Does Royal Gray have some covert business behind the business they own? Could she be in danger now? Oh no! She must leave this house immediately if that is true.
Before that, she had to clean himself first because it was impossible to leave in such a bad state as now. A piece of hanging clothes taken, then placed on the bed. She opened a wedding dress that was no longer neat. Just dropped it on the floor without picking it up again. Leaving only her underwear behind, then she entered the bathroom.
Lunar calmed down and refreshed her mind, plotting how she should get away from the covert business. She should not be caught in the evil trap. It didn't make sense for rich people like them to want her who was just an ordinary woman to become a member of the Gray family. Moreover, she is about to marry the only heir of Royal Grey.
She came out of the bathroom with a towel covering the body. Just turning around after the door was closed, she had to be surprised by the presence of Arkan sitting on the edge of the bed. Hurriedly she covered the bare shoulders completely with crossed arms. Her steps backed up to the edge of the door in a state of mouth that was still agape. Their conversation was over, so why did Arkan come back? Was the man going to initiate a plan to sell it? Isn't that too soon? In fact she still wasn't wearing anything before being taken away.
"Who allowed you to take clothes from the wardrobe?"
Lunar relaxed her crossed arms as she was distracted by the topic being discussed. "Wasn't that for me? I-I mean, those clothes were in the wardrobe and didn't you bring me to this room for me to live in? That means everything in this room I can use, right?" She immediately rebutted her own thoughts that agreed that she wanted to be sold.
Limp hands turned tight when Arkan approached. Her gaze didn't let go to make sure that Arkan wasn't looking in a direction she shouldn't be looking at. She was not willing if her body was seen by men who wanted to sell it. No! she won't let any man see her, especially Arkan.
"Everything in this room belongs to Raya and I don't allow you to use anything that belongs to Raya."
"R-raya?" Lunar regained consciousness quickly before escaping an increasingly confused question. "Then why did you bring me into this room?"
"To ... talk to you because only in this room can I be calm." Said Arkan a little unsteady because he was discussing himself with strangers, something he couldn't say easily.
Lunar nodded her head in understanding now. So, she misunderstood the covert business of the Royal Grey. Shw wasn't for sale like she had thought. Moreover, she was in the room of someone named Raya. Of course she doesn't care who Raya is because doesn't want to interfere in the affairs of a man who will only live with her for one year. Even then they will become strangers like the agreement that has been made because interaction is only needed in front of people. There was no obligation for them to be close that long.
"It seems that Raya is someone who means a lot to you, Arkan. All right."
Lunar put both hands on her waist while looking straight ahead with courage.
"I won't use anything that belongs to Raya. Now, can you show me a place where I can rest? Since I will be your wife in a little while with an agreement, you will provide me with a place to live and all my needs."
Arkan raised an eyebrow, not understanding the woman who should be the center of problems in his life. He did marry Lunar so that there would be no bad news regarding their relationship, Lunar's advantage would be getting a place to live and all the necessities as a potential member of the Gray family. It was unexpected that Lunar was so daring as to speak out so frankly without any embarrassment. Even worse, he couldn't deny it.
"Then let me accompany you." Said Arkan, then grinned.
Lunar widened as her arm was grabbed and she was led out of the room wearing nothing, but a towel. There were many maids in the hall of the house and all were staring at her. Truly, a very obnoxious man! Can't Arkan give her some clothes before they leave the room?
