Raya Returns Home
Arkan waited in a state of anxiety in the car. After his wedding plans with Lunar were announced, he immediately received news that Raya would return. Today was the date they were to meet to surprise everyone about their relationship, but the plan turned upside down in what they didn't expect. Surely Raya will not forgive the decision she had to make.
He leaves Secretary Ham waiting outside because for now he is not allowed to be in public with other women. Things could have gotten worse with him having had relationships with multiple women. Really. Why is being an heir this difficult? He never wanted it, but what to do if his father asked him to?
His mind was diverted when he found Secretary Ham walking towards the car. There he also saw Raya, the woman he missed so much. He opened the cabin door while still inside. a smile couldn't be helped to expand at Raya's seconds who stopped sitting beside him.
It was seen that Raya took off her hat and also the glasses that were still attached earlier. They stared at each other after that without him getting the words out. From the expression he saw it seemed that Raya really already knew the news that was spreading. Otherwise the atmosphere wouldn't be as tense as it was just now which was completely different from their previous meeting.
Arkan wanted to hug her had to stop because his hand was pushed aside. "Forgive me." Softly unable to look at Raya any longer. He has hurt the woman he loves and now is breaker longing something that is not worth accepting? How he wanted to hug Raya and tell how he misses her right now.
"You betrayed me, Arkan."
Arkan bowed lethargic unable to deny how much pain his lover felt. He had indeed betrayed their relationship by choosing to marry another woman, even though it was all just a fake marriage. For the next year he cannot be with Raya. It made up his list of regrets. How should he explain what happened to Raya?
He was like a man who didn't have any ability right now. Can only submit to his father's decision without being able to argue. If possible, he wanted to run away with Raya so they could continue to be together, but that only ended in wishful thinking because his life could not rely on a woman. Without his father's wealth, he is something of no value.
"You don't intend to explain?"
Arkan raised his head that was looking down after his reverie was broken. Of course he had to explain the situation so that the misunderstandings in their relationship could be cleared up.
"I-I really don't know how Lunar got in the trunk of my car."
Arkan stopped talking because he felt what was being said sounded like nonsense. Suddenly a woman is in the trunk of a car? How could Raya believe that?
"Lunar made a mess and required us to get married."
"Mess?" Raya slightly paused Arkan words. "You didn't get her pregnant, did you?"
"Certainly not!" Arkan subconsciously raised his voice and immediately lowered his tone again, "I didn't recognize that woman at all. She just suddenly came into my life and made a mess."
Raya raised a hand to stop the increasingly convoluted explanation. "Very well. You are now discussing the woman named Lunar."
Seeing Arkan's nod made her able to digest the explanations one by one. "Lunar suddenly came into your life, wreaked havoc in our relationship and you decided to marry her."
She received one more nod and then confusion set in. "You're having an affair behind my back?" She said drawing conclusions from Arkan's actions.
Arkan immediately embraced Raya who had shed tears. "I'm not having an affair behind your back." He rubbing the woman's hair to calm the crying. "Only one year this marriage will last. After that Lunar and I will separate soon."
Raya took the hug away. "What do you mean?"
"This is very ridiculous. I have to marry him and after one year, we will separate. All this is just to maintain the company's image." Arkan took a deep breath.
Raya was silent for a moment digesting the successive explanations she received. "So you're not having an affair behind my back?"
Arkan's head shook and his smile widened. She hugged Arkan with all his soul, not wanting to let go because happiness was with him at this moment. The tears flowed down adding to the dampness of the already wet cheeks.
"Knowing you were going to marry another woman made me really sad. I got the fastest flight and didn't finish all my work to come see you."
Arkan smiled happily that Raya could understand him. That's what he needs right now because there's nothing he can make as a shoulder to lean on. Just with Raya being by his side, he already felt very calm. He was not wrong to choose Raya as a his life partner.
***
Lunar descended the stairs and she found the maids very busy. Moreover, earlier she also saw a maid coming out of a room that was one row with his room. She remembered when Arkan said that everything in the room belonged to Raya. Don't know who the owner of that name is because she doesn't care about that either.
She walked to the side of the kitchen in search of something to fill her empty stomach. Not only cleaning the house, but the servants also prepare food in the kitchen. Every time she wanted to take the available food, it was always taken away from her. It went on and on until she couldn't find any food in the kitchen, even though her stomach had been rumbling with joy since she woke up late.
Not giving up, Lunar looked for other food to get bread. She smeared the jam on the side of the bread packet, then immediately devoured it without caring about the maids who were still busy working. This afternoon she had to be patient with a few pieces of bread as a support. Really pity. In an overly luxurious house, she only gets bread.
"Master Arkan has come!" Exclaimed one of the servants announcing the return of the home owner.
Luanr finished spreading jam on the sixth piece of bread. The bread was pressed against the other bread, then she devoured it bit by bit. The package where only a few pieces of bread were left was brought along with the jam and also a spoon as the spread medium. She bring it between arm and body so that there was an empty hand to hold the bread still clamped to her mouth. While walking out of the kitchen, she alternately chewed the bread and bit the bread.
Her steps stopped when she met Arkan and a woman she didn't know. She almost dropped everything she was carrying if didn't keep her consciousness intact. Who is the woman brought by Arkan? The game about the covert business behind Royal Gray is really over, isn't it? Then why did Arkan bring another woman?
Arkan took a deep breath, noticing what he was seeing. "She is the Lunar I spoke of." He said lazily.
"Oh!" Embracing Arkan as a form of declaration of war. "I'm Raya, Arkan's real lover. Nice to meet you, Lunar."
All the maids who heard were familiar with the guests who came because they already knew Raya. It's just that the news of the wedding involving Lunar made them all not know how to act. Raya is Arkan's real lover who lives in the same place. On the other hand, Lunar is the future wife of the owner of the house whom they must respect.
"Great!"
Lunar is reminded of the same name again and again. She just found out that Raya is Arkan's girlfriend. No wonder she wasn't allowed to touch anything that was in the room at that time.
"Nice to meet you, Raya."
Lunar was at a loss as to how to shake hands because there were no empty hands. As a result, she bit into a piece of bread so she could lend a hand.
Raya released her clasped hands. She hesitated to return the handshake, even though she was greeted kindly and still couldn't get rid of the thought that Lunar was a woman who only wanted to take advantage of Arkan. There must be something behind the fake marriage involving Arkan.
"You can rest in your room, Raya. I have to go back to the office now." Arkan said.
Raya nodded her head. "I understand." Then she walked away with the maid delivering the luggage.
Arkan no longer wanted to be bothered by Lunar's existence which made him shake his head, the woman is very messy and also looks greedy. He couldn't imagine the woman who was walking around carrying a big bag of bread and a jar of jam to be his wife even though the marriage she was about to enter was something sham.
Meanwhile, Lunar, who saw Arkan's departure, immediately handed over everything she had brought to the maid who was near her, including the bread she had not finished yet. She ran after Arkan in a hurry until she could stretch out his hand to stop the man's steps.
"What are you doing?" Arkan looked displeased his steps were stopped.
"We have to talk."
"I don't have time for that."
On the other hand, Lunar didn't care about rejection because what he was about to discuss was something more important.
"Is Raya going to live herewe're getting married and two women are living with you, won't that be news later?"
"Everyone knows that Raya and I have known each other since childhood. There will be no strange news about us."
"Oh," Lunar understood now that he was trapped in another relationship namely someone's childhood love. "But..."
Arkan who had wasted his time pushed aside the hand that was blocking his way. He was babbling annoyed after managed to get into the car. Inside there he only paid attention to the woman who was still standing in the same position. Until the car left the parking area, he no longer looked at Lunar.
Secretary Ham muttered a little before conveying what had been on his mind since earlier, "I think what Miss Lunar said has some truth, Sir. After marriage, it is impossible for two women to be in the same house."
