Hard to Reach You
The items were packed neatly. They took what they could for now, left the rest to be taken when they had the chance. As promised by Arkan, the apartment will belong to Lunar and she will be visited occasionally when she is want.
They were surprised to find Arkan still waiting. Unfortunately, it did not make the mother's heart melt. Lunar still pulled to go together. Do not want to give the slightest opportunity to talk because the feeling of disappointment is very deep.
"Lunar," called Arkan.
The mother turned first. "There's nothing for you two to talk about. Don't disturb or even try to see my daughter again. Come on, Lunar. I'll find you a good husband. You'll get married and I'll have grandchildren. Nico is a lot better suited for you than this man."
"M-mother...."
Lunar confused how to behave. On the other hand, she wanted to talk to Arkan before they parted ways, but on the other hand she couldn't disappoint her parents any more.
Long being in a state of confusion, Lunar stopped swinging her legs. Luggage just placed in the hallway of the apartment. This made the mother turn her head and wonder, why did her daughter suddenly stop?
"I need to go to the toilet."
The mother babbled annoyed. "You can't go back to the apartment because the man is still there. Just hold on until we get back."
Lunar did not heed it and immediately rushed back into the building. While the mother wants to catch up, she also can't carry a lot of luggage together.
"That kid is so naughty!"

Lunar made it to a state of messy breathing. When sge got there immediately ran into Arkan's arms. She remained in that position to calm down.
"Arkan...."
Arkan slowly put his hand on that back. He returned the hug which was always warm and comforting. They had only been apart for a short time, but it felt like a very long time.
"Lunar..."
"You said you would give me this hug before we parted, but I took it myself." Lunar put some distance between them. "Mom asked me to take care of the farewell letter as soon as possible. Your father will take care of everything, because there are no problems in our household and it will be difficult to agree."
"You're really going to marry Nico?"
Her mouth seemed heavy to move. How Lunar wanted to refuse and tell her that she wasn't going to marry Nico, but what good would it do if she said so? It will only be very sad when you see Arkan getting married to Raya. While she becomes a woman who looks like she was dumped.
Lunar nodded her head. "Everything is on track. Nico is not like the man who betrayed me a few months ago."
A smile spread softly on the lips. "I can't attend your wedding. My parents won't approve. They are still disappointed with our wedding. So, convey my congratulations to Raya and also to you."
Lunar was about to leave, but the hug on her waist wouldn't let her. She didn't move anymore because she thought maybe there was still something wanted to talk to her about, because she had been the only one talking.
"I," Arkan restrained himself, "I have nothing more to talk to you about."
"Fine. Then, I'll be going."
The hug on her waist did not let go even though the conversation was over. In the enveloping confusion, Lunar turned to the man in front of her again. She wanted to ask, but was forced to silence by a kiss.
Lunar widened her eyes, not believing that they would kiss in such a state of separation. Tears fell from the corner of her eyes. She wrapped arms around her neck and received a parting kiss.
They keep moist lips away. Lunar brushed away the tears streaming down the man's face. "I've never seen you cry this long and you did it for me."
Arkan also did not know why he was crying. Maybe, because parting has made him feel sad. They've shared a life. It was impossible for him to be fine when they were about to part ways.
"Among our other kisses, now is the most painful kiss. But I can feel something sweet there too," said Lunar.
This time the hug was no longer as tight as before. Lunar can already move away from there. She smiled in tears of letting go of their farewell.
"Goodbye, Arkan."
Arkan sat up for a moment when the apartment door closed. His heart hurt so much as if it was held very tightly, stifling his chest. They have been living with him until now will be separated. Why didn't he let all of that happen?
***
Arkan woke up from his long sleep. He dreams of the same thing again today which is past regrets. He glanced at the nightstand, grabbed a glass and then gulped its contents. Half the drink was finished, then he put it back. He took in a short breath, then let out a feeling of worry.
His feet were lowered to hit the floor. He got out of bed and went into the bathroom. Under the shower pouring cold water, he calmed down.
It had been a matter of years, but he still couldn't forget Lunar. Their marriage was very short, and so was their relationship. His reaction was too slow to understand his own feelings.
They lost touch after parting ways. He had not seen Lunar since the last time they met. He don't know where the woman is now, he is hard to find. Even so, every day he always waited with the hope that one day they would meet.
The ringing of the cell phone interrupts the daydream. He grabbed it, then picked up the call.
"Arkan, where are you now?"
"Apartemen."
The woman on the other side chuckled. "I'm at the airport. Can you come to pick me up?"
"Let Secretary Ham do it for you. I'll be waiting in the apartment."
"Since when did you become such a cheapskate? Alright. Raya is coming soon." The tone of voice sounded very happy.
After finishing business in the bathroom, Arkan sat on the edge of the bed. He was about to take the lotion, but his intention was hindered by remembering the past. Apparently, at that moment his heart was already beating for Lunar.
"You should know I miss you so much," he muttered into the lotion bottle.
After getting dressed, he picked up a bag to carry. The backpack was tucked into the trunk of the car. Today, he is going to climb the mountain to let go of longing for a woman who has gone nowhere.
Not only once did he climb the same mountain. Maybe people would get tired of seeing him, but he never gets tired of wading through the same time every time. For him, that way it can cure the longing in the heart.
"Arkan!"
The scream made him turn his head. Down there that was roughly ten meters away, a man waved. Of course he knows Rian, the man who once made him jealous.
"You didn't bring your wife this time?" asked Arkan.
"No. She was heavily pregnant. So I went hiking alone." Rian stopped when they were close. "How about you? Have you found Lunar yet?"
Arkan shook his head. "She still wants to play around out there. I'm so stupid."
"I wish we could climb mountains together again."
Arkan hoped so too, but there was little hope for that. He almost gave up. It hurts so much to keep missing someone you can't reach easily. Everything happened because of his stupidity.
"This is my punishment," Arkan muttered, then smiled. He should have been honest with himself.
